renjun ran until he tasted blood in his mouth and he reached the park that he had been wanting to go to ever since saturday. he walked to the bench that they always met at and took a seat. if he waited long enough, he would be able to see jaemin. then he could apologize for not telling him that he wouldn't be there on saturday and jaemin would be able to comfort him.

   he patiently sat on the bench, staring at the water. he didn't know how long he had been waiting before he realized that the sun was on the brink of setting. it was about the time that jaemin would usually show up at. the time passed slowly while he waited for a certain ravenette whom he had been dying to see.

after some time had passed and jaemin had yet to show up, he checked the time on his phone. 

6:36 pm

   the chinese male frowned and felt a slight pain in his chest. theories on top of theories flodded his mind as he racked his brain for a resonable explanation. surely there was a reason why jaemin wasn't there. the posibility of jaemin being upset with him for not showing up on saturday crossed his mind, but he chose to push it back and ignore it. 

   being too stubborn to go home, he hung around. even if he was only able to see jaemin for one minute, he wanted to meet him under any circumstance. a lump formed in his throat as the sun reached the brink of the horizon before him. the sky was a vivid orange and the sun slowly set. 

if i wait a little longer, jaemin will come

   with the single thought in mind, time passed even slower than before. renjun sat still on the bench, waiting for jaemin. hours passed when the sky was completely dark, stars illuminating the night. the moon glowed over the body of water infront of him, a blurry reflection over the water. 

   finally moving, he pushed himself off of the bench and held onto the railing that seperated him from the water. he peered at his reflection below him, it rippled as a tear fell. "jaemin...," he whispered quietly, another tear falling. he picked up a handful of rocks beneath him and threw one into the water, built up anger lashing out.

"where are you when i need you?" he threw another rock into the water, creating a splash. 

"why didn't you come today?" his voice rose as he threw one more rock into the water.

"what am i meant to do without you?" he yelled, voice cracking at the end of his sentence as hot tears couldn't resist falling for any longer. he threw the remaining rocks in one by one.

   he choked back on his words, "i-i miss you jaemin... where are you?" tears streamed down his face, flowing seemingly endlessly. he let out a short gasp when he was pulled into a warm embrace.

"i'm right here renjun, i'm right here."
