renjun walked through the busy halls, trying to keep himself from getting pushed and shoved though it was to no use. he cursed as he got slammed against a random locker by a jock who he always saw running around the halls. "rude," he muttered to himself when the other didn't even turn back to apologize.

   as the flow of students lessened, he was able to walk safely to his locker the rest of the way. "hey hyung," chenle, who was a grade lower than him greeted. "hey," renjun gave a weak smile. the younger frowned, it was clear as day that renjun was feeling down.

   "what's wrong?" chenle asked as he looked at his hyung with concern. "it's been a long day," renjun smiled brighter than last time, ruffling the purple haired male's head fondly. chenle was unconvinced but decided to let it slide. "wanna go to the arcade after school?" he asked instead. renjun smiled again, this time an apologetic one, "sorry, i don't feel up to it today."

   "oh," the younger's voice dropped along with his smile, "that's okay. i'll just ask jisung to go with me instead." renjun felt sorry as he watched chenle walk away with a disappointed expression, knowing that it was because of him. "what's wrong me me these days?" he asked himself out loud.

   hauling the books that he needed to study out of his locker, he zipped his backpack and put it on. then, he simply walked home. on the way, he grew thirsty and spotted the familiar convenient store that he always passed while walking home.

   he slipped his hand in his back pocket to find enough money for a couple of snacks and a drink. despite walking past the same store everyday, it was his first time actually going inside. walking through the doors felt just like every other store he had even been in. considering the fact that the store wasn't necessarily big in size, he managed to find the snack isle and bought strawberry gummies.

   the drink isle was spotted next as he found a matching green tea drink to go with the sweet that he bought. "hello, how may i help you today?" the cashier asked. "i'd like to purchase these items please," he shoved the snacks and drink onto the counter. the woman took them and scanned, "anything else?" "no, just these items please," renjun smiled politely.

   after paying and thanking the woman, renjun left the store and walked to the park that was inbetween the convenient store and his house. the park had a nice river that renjun liked to take walks by, he headed there with the plastic bag in hand and the backpack still on his back.

   the park was almost enitrely empty aside from a young couple sitting on a bench. renjun took the oppurtunity to sit on a bench in the shade with a clear view of the ocean. he took a deep breath, the weather being warm with a slight breeze. the sun was on the brink of setting as the sky turned golden. renjun being to close his eyes and relax when a voice broke him from his thoughts.

"hey, is this seat taken?"
