Ash's POV

The echoes of music filled the atmosphere around Lumiose City Tower, each beat booming away at our ear drums eradicating any form of silence or comfort as flashing lights lit up the Tower as balloons of Pokémon faces of Chespin, Bunnelby and Luxray decorated the main entrance followed by coloured party balloons and streamers made it impossible to miss where the party was being held.

"Hey guys? Is this were the party is?" Iris asks in a confused voice as she places her hand to her head and began catching it as the whole gang fall anime style.

"No Iris, I'm sure this isn't the bright, loud, tall, easily distinguishable tower in the middle of Lumiose City that the invite described." Gary says sarcastically while giving a very unimpressed look which had the group struggling to contain ur laughter.

"That was sarcasm.... right?" She asks confused only adding to the struggle of not laughing.

"Yes Iris, it was." May says letting out her laugher and placing her hand on Iris's shoulder as after she started laughing all of us just couldn't seem to take it anymore and all let out our laughter at the same time and started giggling and chuckling away.

"I didn't know!!!" Iris shouts with a tint of red in her cheeks which from what Serena has taught me means that they are embarrassed or something like that. I can't fully remember.

"HAHAHAHA!! That was great!" Drew says while wiping a tear of joy from his cheeks still with a few laughs going around the group. I even saw Paul with a smile on his face and a few laughs escape his mouth, though I didn't see much as I had my eyes closed and was laughing along with the group.

After we had all calmed down from laughing we decided to actually do what we came here to do... PARTY!

We all made our way to the entrance of the tower only to be greeted by a tall man wearing a black suit and tie which reminded me very much of body guards. And it turns out that's what he was.

"Invites please." The man say in a deep voice while holding his hand signalling to us that we needed to show him our invited.

'Oh no...' I think while reaching for my pockets and confirming my worries. I didn't bring my invitation with me!

'What am I going to do?!' I start to panic as I watch Serena hand her invitation to the guard, smiling as the guard nods and lets her pass and she looks back at me with her joyful grin as I approach the man who asks for my invitation and even Pikachu could tell I didn't have it because he faceplams on my shoulder as he shacked his head.

"I... I-aaahhh" I start to say as sweat rolled down my face as my brain struggled to search for something to say... but I got nothing.

"He's with me!" I hear a voice come from behind me and when I look to see who it was, I see Miette standing a long blue dress similar to Serena's except a little less revealing.

"Don't worry Hun, I got you. Its okay sir. He's my date." Miette says latching onto my arm, leaning on it and knocking Pikachu off my shoulder as he jumped onto my head to avoid being knocked off.

"Aaahhh..." Is all I manage to say as Miette hands the guard her invite and drags me past him and into the building, passing Serena who's smile had vanished and in its place a gloomed a frown of no emotion.

Serena's POV 

I watched helplessly and frozen in place. My feet plastered, firmly in place as watched with emotions I have never felt. But I hated them. I hated the sight. I hated how it felt, my heart had been ripped out of my body so easily. Stolen. Broken. Forgotten.

My thoughts were everywhere. A war of positive and negative had just became one sided. I stood outside the entrance alone. Nothing I wasn't use to. The loud music seemed to be faded. The bright lights of the party only seemed light that. Lights. Not the magical beams that I once saw them.

'What is happening?' I was my main thought. The beauty in things seemed to be washed away. Colours were just colours now. Music was just sound. And I was just a stupid soul amongst millions on this dying planet. Why did I ever think that I could be special to anyone?

"Serena it's party time!!" Dawn says opening the door to the party in which I was able to catch a glimpse of Ash... he had his usual happy grin on his face, Pikachu on his shoulder and his messy raven hair. Though seeing him only made me feel more broken. As next to him was Miette, laughing away as she shot me a glance and gave me a cheeky and heart shattering wink as she began to move closer to Ash but Dawn closed the door before I could see what was happening.

Millions of thoughts rushed through my head. It was true. She always get what she wants....

"Serena, don't worry about Miette. You know Ash loves you." I faintly hear Dawn's words, though the word 'love' sparked something. Realisation... or just a useless memory?

I look at her. She had a concerned look. But all I see is Ash. He gave me these friends... he gave me this life. He gave me my happiness. And now. It is being threatened.

'Don't give up til it's over kay?' The memory plays in my head. The memory, that was my reason. He is my love. The reason I am happy is him. He gave me... no. He created my Golden Heart.

Ash's POV

"Where is Serena?" I ask as soon as I get inside. I know that I came in before her but I would have thought she would have came in behind me but I don't see her anywhere.

"I'll go find her." Dawn says leaving the group and heading for the entrances which we came from.

"I'm sure she is fine!" Drew says.

"YEP! But its time to PPAAAAARRRRRRTTTTTTYYYYYYY!!!!" Gary yells over the loud music and heads for the dance floor with his arms swaying in the in full 'party mode' as he likes to call it. But we all just sweatdrop as the birthday boy himself joins the group as my stomach growls.

"Hungry Ash?" Clemont says, which was followed up by a bunch of "Happy Birthday" from the group.

"Just a little bit. I haven't had anything to eat since I got here." I say while rubbing the back of my head. Scratching it while grinning with embarrassment as my stomach continued to growl.

"Pikachu." Pikachu says in agreement with my stomach as he jumps off my shoulder and runs across the ground. Swiftly dodging people's legs and makes his way to the table of food.

"Wait for me Buddy!" I saw while running after him, performing the same motion of movement to make my way to the neatly aligned table of different party foods that me and Pikachu stared in awe together at all the food.

The choices seemed to be endless! Everything from chocolate to fruits to chips to party pies and much much more! It was enough to make my mouth water and hearts to appear in my eyes.

Though my moment was quickly broken by the sound of giggling behind me which caught my attention and caused me to turn around because it sounded a lot like Serena's soft and adorable giggles. But it wasn't. It was Miette.

"Well The food isn't going to eat itself." She says, starting a conversation that I don't have much of a choice but to join and give her a responses.

"You got a point." I say as Pikachu jumps off my shoulder and onto the table of food, immediately grabbing a bottle of ketchup which caused me to sweatdrop and his love for that sauce.

"And thanks for helping me get into the party!" I say cheerfully, grinning at her to show my appreciation. Though, despite the food and this conversation my mind was still fixed on Serena and where she could be.

Though loud music played and people cheering slaughtered any possibility of silence in the room and possibly outside. Our conversation continued but when I asked her if she had seen Serena her smile appeared to dimmer as she appeared to look over my shoulder before he smile widened once again which raised questions in my mind. But when I look around I don't see anything that catches my eye.

"What are You-" I try to say as i turn around but am immediately met by the lips of Miette. Pressing against mine causing me to freeze in place because of shock at what was happening as it took me a few second to realise Miette was kissing me!!!

'Oh no... what have I done?' Was the only thing going through my mind as Miette stops kissing me and smiles brightly.

"Bye sweetie!" She says giving me a wink as she runs off into the crowed, leaving me in complete shock. My eyes were stoned in place, along with the rest of my body. My hands too confused to move, my brain getting a million thoughts a second.

'What in the name of Arceus just happened?' I asked myself, still frozen in place. I couldn't comprehend why she did that. I couldn't understand what she meant by that. I couldn't... I just couldn't think at all. My body was like a ice brick, frozen solid, lacking warmth that would allow my true self to be released. But my mind soon drifted to Serena. 'How would she react to this? She would be heartbroken at best! What am I going to do?'
