Ash's POV

I found Serena just in time, she was tied to a metal, rectangle shaped bed that was hanging vertically on the wall of the room. Her top lying on the ground near her handing body while Calem rather close to her, I could see fear in her eyes, although her head was bowed I was able to get a quick glimpse of her eyes when she looked up for a split second when I yelled to get Calem's attention.

Greninja stood next to me in his battle stance, ready for a battle that I could tell was emanate but remembering back to last time I battled Calem and how me and Greninja was pushed to our absolute limits. But I can't do that this time. If that were to happen then Calem will be able to get away with Serena while I would be unconscious.

Analysing the situation it was clear of Calem's intentions and the mere thought of that filled me with anger and how someone could be so inhumane and evil.

"Greninja! Let's save Serena!" I say while raising my whole arm in the air while Greninja did the same, initiating our synchronisation and creating a water vortex around Greninja's body for a split second before breaking and forming a water shuriken on the back of Greninja's new form.

"Ninja!" Greninja spoke while giving me a head nod. At first I thought it was to tell me that he was ready to battle but when he did it again I noticed that he was nodding his head in a particular direction.

Upon following Greninja's head nod I quickly narrowed my eyes on a beaten Pikachu. His body covered in battle marks and looked completely drained of energy and strength.

I gritted my teeth before turning back to Calem who still had one of his hands on Serena's waist which only fuelled my aggressing that I was trying my best to control as the last thing I needed was to loose control because of my anger.

"Let her go Calem! This is between you and me!" I said wanting to get Serena out of the picture to save her from more harm.

"And why would I do that? Because you told me to? HA! No, this girl needs to pay!" Calem spoke before moving his hand down towards Serena's lower area. Serena squirmed but couldn't stop Calem's actions as he body was tightly tied down.

I needed to stop this. "Water Shuriken!" I call while reaching behind my back, mimicking Greninja's actions as he jumped into the air and threw a water shuriken from his back towards Calem which landed right at his foot which made him jump back away from Serena who breathed heavily in relief.

"I can't let you hurt her Calem." I say while Greninja landed right beside me with his arms crossed.

Calem grunted at my words before reaching for a pokeball. "Too bad, I always get what I want. And you aren't getting in my way!" Calem says before preforming his throwing action but was cut of by a rumbling sound coming from the ground.

I noticed Calem's confusion and decided to cease this opportunity. "Greninja, use cut to free Serena and Pikachu!" I command. Greninja wastes no time performing the attack, slashing the restraints off Serena's arms and legs, freeing her before moving over to Pikachu and successfully freeing him as well.

Greninja caught Pikachu's weak body while I rushed over and caught Serena's while her body was falling. She didn't seem to have the strength or energy to move and appeared to be in a lot of pain.

'Oh Serena...' My I thought. I felt sorry for my poor girlfriend, her life was so difficult and hard that the fact that she was even able to intact was in itself a miracle.

The rumbling became more aggressive before the ground below where Calem was standing began to rise. Calem jumped out of the way in time, avoiding pieces of the ground that flew everywhere while I shielded Serena with my own body, stoping her from being injured further.

"Welcome Ash." A dominate male voice spoke, I lift my head away from Serena and loosening the hug type position we were in that I had used to shield her. Before me stood a fortress looking structure. It filled the large room which explained why the room was so empty. At the top of the structure was glass that appeared to be like an observation deck. Inside was two figures, one male and the other looked really familiar.

"Miette?!" Calem spoke, making me realise who the figure that stood next to the male was. It was Miette, Calem's girlfriend or whatever their relationship status was.

"Hey Calem!" Miette said through a loud speaker while waving through the glass of the observation room.

'I don't like the look of this one bit.' I said in my mind, the whole situation I didn't like. Serena and Pikachu are both in really bad shape and to make things even worse it looks like I am now surrounded by more people who probably want to harm Serena.

"Miette what are you doing here?" Calem asked, his voice sounded a little annoyed but mainly confused.

"Just helping daddy out and making sure you don't screw up his plans." Miette responded before she walked over to what looked like a control centre and pressed a button which opened a hatch.

"Just get in and I will explain later." Miette explained. Calem wasted no time in heading into the entrance to the might fortress. I couldn't stop him as I was too far away and Greninja still had Pikachu in his arms and couldn't attack.

"Now... time to get to business." The male with red hair spoke. Pressing a button that triggered different types of weaponry to appear from the sides of the fortress which caused me to tight my grip around Serena who still was topless and had fear looming in her eyes.

"What do you want!" I shout while hiding Serena behind my back to try and protect her if any of the weaponry decides to fire unacceptably.

"What do I want..." He spoke almost like he had to think about it. "I want what you posses. The power to create a new world!" His words were filled with noting but ambition desire for power but it didn't quite make sense.

"I want... I want the power you and Greninja poses. And with that, I Lysander, leader of Team Flare will create a new world!" Lysander explained his future visions. I glace at Serena and her weak and broken body before looking at Greninja and Pikachu. If Lysander wants the power me and Greninja poses then he is going to have to take it!

'But what if he threatens to hurt Serena... or someone else I love?' I question myself. My minds in two mindsets, one is telling me to fight and stop his obviously evil ambitions and the other is telling me to protect those who matter most to me.

"Now. You have two choices: Either you and Greninja surrender to me now or watch that pathetic girl next to you die first." Lysander threatens like he read my mind. Now what do I do? Serena means too much to me and I would never forgive myself if she got hurt because of me.

I glance down at Serena to find her eyes not only open but she was staring into mine. I don't want to loose her, I can't loose her, I won't loose her. I grit my teeth at what I am about to do, but it is the only way. I have to save her.

"A-Ash... d-don't" Serena spoke weakly while placing her hand on my wrist, flash backs of the first night I spent with her flash in my mind and every moment with her now seems like gold.

"Serena..." I speak after giving her a quick kiss on her forehead. No matter what happens next remember I love you." I say softly before standing up to face Lysander and his fortress. 'He thinks he has won? Well he is mistaken.' I say to myself in my thought.

"You chose well." Lysander says with a widen smirk on his face. I close my eyes and focus on what I can see, not through my own eyes but through Greninja's. Lysander might think he has one but he doesn't know that I never give up till the very end!

Through the eyes of Greninja I can see him sneaking through the inside of the fortress like the very ninja that he is. 'I just have to stall' I think before opening my eyes and stare at Lysander who stood proudly at the front of the fortress. Neither Calem or Miette were anywhere to be seen but it didn't matter as soo it will be just me and Lysander.

"Lets go child. We have much work to do in order to create my new world!" Lysander spoke with such confidence in his voice. He extended his hand out to me but I didn't want to except it. I look back at Serena who was weakly lying on the ground, her head facing me and her eyes fighting against the water that filled them.

"Ninja!" I hear Greninja say which caused me to instantly snap out of my own vision and into his. I saw he appeared to be in the control room and was searching through what appeared to be Lysander's new world plans. They mostly consisted of how the world will be run but something catches my eye or in this case Greninja's eye.

It was some sort of Blueprints and in the centre appeared to be a sport for a type of energy source but I was unable to finish reading what it said before Lysander snapped me out of Greninja's vision.

"It's now or never boy! Either you come with me now or watch her die!" Lysander reminded me of his threat and extended his hand again and again I was hesitant because I had to wait for Greninja to pull the switch that will turn off the weaponry.

"Come on Greninja." I whisper under my breath and as is on cue the multiple hyper cannons and other weapons that once pointed at me and Serena power down and Greninja jumps out of a window of the fortress, landing next to Serena. I give him a nod and he grabbed Serena and quickly ran away with her.

"WHAT!?" Lysander yells and tries to snatch me but my reflexes where quick enough and was able to jump back and create enough distance between us that he couldn't reach me.

"Your going to pay for this boy!" Lysander says while pulling out a pokeball and throws it and revealing red Gyaragos which also appeared to have a mega stone attached to it.

'Gotta stall long enough for Greninja to get back.' I think while reaching for one of my pokeballs but was stopped by a sudden "Pika!" That rang in my ears.

Pikachu jumped in front of me in his injured stage. "Pikachu?" I say almost in shock that he was up but what I was most surprised about is that he looked like he wanted to battle.

"Pika! Pikachu!" The electric mouse spoke, showing me his clenched fist and showing his determination. "Alright buddy, lets do this!" I say but I know that this battle is going to take everything Pikachu has left in him.

"I will not let my world changing plan be stopped by you and your stupid rodent! I will destroy everyone you love and care about until you are so broken that you will be begging me for mercy!" Lysander said, his words had clear anger and aggression in them and with that the battle began.

"Gyaragos! Incinerate!" Lysander commanded. Gyaragos charged up a red and yellow fireball in rapid speed then releasing it just as fast.

"Quick Pikachu, dodge it!" I say. Pikachu nods while still facing his opponent, he swiftly doges to his right while letting the fireball hit the wall behind me which created a clear whole in the base.

'Wow. Such power.' I thought, knowing if that we were to get hit by that then it would be all over! And with the state Pikachu is in attacking won't be very effective so all we can do is doge for now.

"Now Hyper Beam!" Lysander commands another move which Gyaragos performs in quick succession. Charging up a dark purple beamed and fired it directly at Pikachu with great amounts of power.

'This move is too big to dodge so we need to attack.' I quickly decide before commanding Pikachu to defend himself by using Thunderbolt. Pikachu wasted no time responding and swiftly charged up enough electricity to fire the attack which made contact with the hyper beam and created an explosion of power.

"Now Dragon Tail!" Lysander spoke. Before I had the time to react Gyaragos came speeding through the smoke and smashed Pikachu with his aqua glowing tail, causing Pikachu to fly back in pain and land right in front of me. His injuries were dangerously bad but still Pikachu got back up again and gave me a weak nod.

"Alright Pikachu now it's our turn! Quick Attack! Lets go!" I say while extending my arm so that it was pointing at the red Gyaragos. Pikachu raced off, using the power of the Quick Attack to gain speed until he reached Gyaragos' body and delivered the attack.

The Quick Attack was successful, the impact moved Gyaragos' body back showing that the attack had done some damage but judging by how Pikachu was puffing that he was reaching his limit.

"Alright no more fooling around! Gyaragos Mega Evolve!" Lysander says while pressing his fingers against the key stone that was in his ring. A bright light glowed around Lysander's Key Stone and the mega stone around Gyaragos' neck and soon the red Gyaragos changed its form and became more powerful.

"Piiiikkkkkaaaa!!!!" Pikachu shouted, letting out his battle cry to let me know that he is still good to battle even if his body condition says otherwise. I don't know what has gotten into Pikachu or where he got this new determination but I'm liking it!

"Alright Pikachu! Lets do this! Electro Ball!" I command while Pikachu jumps into the air and spins around, charging up an electric sphere on his tail and then releasing it at Gyaragos.

"Pine Missile!" I hear Calem command before suddenly streaks of green hit Pikachu's electro ball and then Pikachu himself sending him flying backwards in pain.

"Pikachu!" I yell instinctively before raising my head to see Calem and his Chestnut standing next to Lysander. 'This isn't good...' I think while gritting my teeth and clenching my first.

"You think that I would miss this chance to crush you!" Calem spoke before commanding his Chestnut to use Rollout. Chestnut's round body hits Pikachu before he had time to get himself up from the last attack and by now even he was close to being defeated.

"NO! PIKACHU!" I yell, regretting letting Pikachu battle in such bad shape. Pikachu crashed hard into the metal wall and swirls formed in his eyes before he landed hard on the ground.

"It's over! Now... it's time for my new world!" Lysander said.

"NO! Your new world is not better than this world! I have seen your plans for this 'new world' and if that were to become reality then it would be a mirror of hell!" I yell in both anger and disapproval.

"NINJA!" Suddenly Greninja's voice echo's through the room and a water shuriken hits mega Gyaragos hard before he Greninja's body suddenly appeared in front of mine.

Both Calem and Lysander grit their teeth and show annoyed and angry expressions on their faces while I now have a sense of hope now that Serena is save.

"Greninja we will fight not to protect the ones we love but to protect the world!" I say while holing my fist up to Greninja who nods and turns to his opponents.

"HA! Look around. It's two against one!" Calem mocks while showing that stupid smirk of confidence.

"No... it's me and Greninja versus Gyaragos and Chestnut. So it's two against two!" I correct him while getting into a battle stance along with Greninja.

"Your a fool! My new world will become reality! Gyaragos Incinerate!" Lysander commands and Gyaragos fires a fireball. "Your going down Ketchum! Chestnut, Pine Missile!" Calem commands as well and Chestnut combines his move with Gyaragos'.

"Lets go Greninja! Slice through it with Cut!" I say while ripping the air with my hands as I command the move. Greninja obeys and runs at full speed towards the incoming attack and with two swords, slices the combined moves in half as he ran through it, showing his power as he got closer and closer to the targets.

"Now Greninja. Aerial Ace!" I command while pulling my fist back and released it into a punching motion as Greninja did the same while causing damage to Chestnut who I decided would be the easier one to take down first.

"Gyaragos. Dragon Tail." Lysander spoke before Gyaragos' tail went an aqua colour and smacked Greninja while he was performing multiple hits on Chestnut. Pain struck my chest when Greninja got hit but I knew that we had done a lot of damage on Chestnut with those Aerial Aces but now we just need to guts it out till the end.

"Stone Edge!" Lysander commanded and Gyaragos created light blue, crystal like spikes to emerge from the ground and were heading right towards Greninja but this gave me and idea.

"Greninja jump onto of the Stone Edge to gain height!" I say. Greninja didn't question my command and swiftly jumped on the peck of the crystal like spikes, jumping across them like the ground was lava.

"Now Water Shuriken!" I say now that Greninja had enough height and threw the shuriken on his back a successfully hit Chestnut which although it wasn't that effective made smoke appear around them just like I planned.

"Now follow it up with Aerial Ace!" I command. Grenina's fists went white as his body flew into the smoke and because it was impossible for any of the other two Pokémon to see it was a guarantied hit!

I could hear Greninja's attacks making contact but I didn't need to hear them as I performed the very actions along with Greninja, deepening our synchronization and the bond between us.

"ENOUGH!" INCINERATE!" Lysander yelled out of frustration. Gyaragos fired its attack in a random direction but unfortunately the attack was wide enough for it to scrap Greninja's arm which I felt on my own body.

The smoke cleared after Greninja's body was shoot out it from Gyaragos' Incinerate. My body hurt and I could feel myself burning up inside from the intense battling.

"No Chestnut! You weakling!" Calem says as he returned his defeated Chestnut back into its pokeball making sure to take his anger out in words showing his aggression and also disappointment.

"Ketchum I'll get you!" Calem speaks but Lysander raises his arm after he finishes his sentence. He doesn't make eye contact with Calem nor does he even move his head away from the battle.

"Stay out of my way brat!" Lysander ways frustrated I could tell he didn't have the patience to deal with Calem's outbursts as he probably has his own hatred already built up that he is waiting to release.

"Lets go Greninja! One down, one to go." I say while pointing my first towards Greninja who nods in response and gets back into his battle stance and prepares himself fro another tough battle.

No one's POV

The stakes are high for both sides. One fighting for his own desire and for a new world order, the other fighting for the one he loves and care about as well as to save the world he loves. Though Ash-Greninja are strong they have sustained a fair amount of damage where as Lysander's Mega Gyaragos has only taken very few hits and appears to have the upper hand. Ash knows this but he was not about to let this stop him.

"Gyaragos, Hyper Beam! Show no MERCY!" Lysander commands while Gyaragos powers up his powerful hyper beam, leaving an opening for the quick ninja Pokémon.

"Quick Greninja, use Double Team the Aerial Ace." Ash says. Greninja wastes no time creating multiple fake copies of itself, spreading the fakes around the room and on the fortress to confuses Gyaragos as to which one was real.

"Knock 'em all down!" Lysander spoke with irritation in his voice. Gyaragos followed his command, firing the dark purple beam at every visible copy of Ash-Greninja that filled the room of Team Flares base.

"Now Greninja!" Ash said and almost instantly the real one appears and executed a power Areal Ace attack on Mega Gyaragos. Punching his face side ways to start the preforming an upper cut. Ash mimicked Greninja's movements, raising his right leg into the air as Greninja kicked Gyaragos in a downwards motion.

Lysander watched almost in marvel al how powerful Ash-Greninja was. Their raw power created by their bond greatly surpassed that of Mega Evolution and this only made him more power hungry. He wanted that power, the power that can bring him his new world, the power that make the whole world bow down before him.

Calem on the other hand gritted his teeth, he didn't want Ash winning. He knew how powerful Ash-Greninja is because he had witnessed that power first hand and knew that Ash wasn't using all of that power but was still winning but the looks of things.

"Lets go Greninja! Water Shuriken!" Ash commanded raising his hand into the air with Greninja, twirling the water shuriken in his palms until it grew in size. The shuriken contained its bright blue colour, not turning into the golden shuriken like in the battle against Calem but the power contained with the shuriken appeared to be enough to still finish this battle.

"Gyaragos! Use Incinerate!" Lysander commanded, you could tell that it was a move of just pure desperation and was simply called to try and give Gyaragos a fighting chance to survive. Gyaragos powered up its fireball a launched it at Ash-Greninja in the hopes that it would be enough.

"This is for our world! LETS GO!" Ash yelled. Swaying his arms backwards and then forwards in a throwing action as Greninja did the same and released the giant, blue shuriken that swore through the air with great power and grace, spinning at rapid speeds the shuriken sliced Gyaragos' Incinerate as if it were nothing. But for Lysander and Calem when that happened it was as if time itself had stood still to capture the moment and empathise the fact that the power and bond Ash and Greninja share is greater than anything they could throw at them.

The shuriken made a powerful and successful connection with Mega Gyaragos, creating an explosion that sent Lysander and Calem hurling backwards at the amount of power Lysander's Pokémon had just been struck with.

Smoke filled the air but didn't last long. Once clearing the winner was revealed. Ash-Greninja stood tall while Mega Gyaragos changed back into its normal red form while in his eyes swirls could be seen.

Lysander and Calem both lied on the ground. Unconscious due to the amount of power that forced them back. Although they had not been hit with the attack, that power of that shuriken was felt from even where they were standing.

Greninja changed back to its normal from upon realising that the battle was over, receiving praise from Ash for how well he battled. The two high fives before calling Officer Jenny who will take care of Team Flare and Calem. Although Ash would have enjoyed watching Calem suffer for what he was done he knew that this was the right thing to do.

Serena's POV

Greninja had left me in the same van of which I was kidnapped in. I believed it was for safety reasons but I heard an explosion coming from within the base. My heart begin to beat faster, worry began to fill me all the bad possibilities that could come from that explosion filled my head.

I carried on with my thoughts, loosing myself in a world of bad possibilities but I was suddenly interrupted by the van door begin to open. I didn't know weather to feel excited, happy or just plain scared! I wanted it to be Ash who opened that door. I don't care if he thinks that I have ruined his life anymore. All I want is to be in his arms at the moment.

Much to my displeasure Miette is the one who opens the door. A sudden jolt of fear rushed down my spine, I didn't have the strength nor the energy to defend myself nor did I think I could in the first place. I cower and brace myself to be hit but it never comes.

"I'm not going to hit you. Not yet at least." Miette says. I found it rather odd that she wasn't going to abuse me like she normally does which made me question what was going on in my mind.

"I'm going to say this once slut. Ash is going to be mine! Got it!?" Miette says with agression. I could feel my heart sink at her words I can't loose Ash he is my everything at the moment.

"B-but you can't." I speak. I don't know how I did it but I did! I actually spoke back to a bully in retaliation instead of begging for mercy.

"Huh? So the weakling finally finds a voice I see. Guess that Ash means more to you than I thought. That's good. That means it will hurt you more when you see him kissing me." Miette says with a wide grin. Her words will me with anger but also with sadness at the same time.

"B-but y-you have Calem..." I say, it didn't make sense as to why she would want Ash when she is already has Calem.

"Pffft! He is weak, he doesn't mean anything to me now! He has lost twice to Ash so it's clear that Ash is stronger. I am only interested in strong, powerful males." Miette responds, her words are sickening. It isn't love she is after it's power!

'Ash will never leave me for a girl like her right? H-he told me that himself... h-he promised me.' My mind begins to wonder. Fixed mainly on Miette's words and the image of my Ash kissing Miette breaks my heart to pieces that would probably kill me if it were true.

Miette leaves me in my state of fear and sadness, left at the mercy of my dark, negative thoughts. Left to suffer while my heart is torn between love and heartbreak. But there is one thing that both my mind and my heart will agree on, that I love and need Ash and I can't let Miette take him away from me.
