Ash's POV

"Honey, Dinner is ready!" I hear my mother call waking me from my nap. I shot up out of my bed at the smell of food filling my room making me drool a bit at how good it smells.

"Hey Pikachu, Mum says dinner is ready." I say as my hands begin to shake the sleeping Pokémon to try and wake him from his deep sleep. I soon noticed some sparks coming from Pikachu's red cheeks out of the corner of my eye and before I could react Pikachu's attack had already been released and I was now the victim of the powerful attack.

'At least Pikachu is awake now.' I said to myself as I fall over anime style from the effects of the Thunderbolt.

"Pika Pi." Says Pikachu trying to apologise while rubbing the back of his head in emmbarasment from his actions

"Pikachu, dinners ready." I say  to him in responce still on the ground as I cough up smoke.. I sat up and grabed to Pikachu to head down stairs following the smell of food.

"Ah... your up." I hear my Mum say in delight as I walk into the kitchen to see what is for dinner. "Yep, we're up." I say in responce while giving a toothy grin.

"I made spaghetti." My mother says which bringings a smile apon my face as she hands me a plate full of delicious spaghetti. "Here is one for you too Pikachu." She adds handing me another plate. "Pika-chu!" "Thanks Mum!" me and Pikachu say symotaniously as we head to the table and begin to devour our food.

"Well someone sure is hungry." Says my Mum as she sits down with her own plate.

"When am I never hungry?" I say in responce while slurping up some of the spaghetti. But when I look at her I can instantly tell that something is troubling her as my mind goes back to the note she left and how it said she had something important to tell me.

"Hey Mum, are you ok?" I ask to try and start a conversation that might lead into what it is that she needed to tell me.

"Y-Yeah..." She says snapping out of her thoughts. "I can tell you read my note." She adds starting the conversation.

"Yeah we did, and don't worry my and Pikachu did the chores that you left for us to do." I say giving my mother a conforting smile.

"Yes I saw that, thank you very much..." She says before being cut off by Pikachu.

"Pika." He says pointing to himself.

"And thank you too Pikachu." My mother says giving Pikachu an appreciative smile acknowledging the fact that he helped whith the chores too.

"Anyway I have something I need to tell you both..." She begins to say. I can feel my heart begin to beat a bit faster, worryed that it is something bad.

"I have been offered a promising job opportunity that will pay way better than what I currently earn." My Mum says as happyness fills my body and all the worry disappears.

"That's great news, congrats!" I say giveing her a big smile, but I can tell that there is still something wrong.

"But..." She begins to say before my mind begins to go crazy. 'Of course there is a but, there is always a but!' I begin to think to myself before turning my attention back to my mother.

"But, the job opportunity is only available in the Kalos region. Meaning that we are going to be moving to the Kalos region." She says while she waits anxiously for my response.

'Wow! we get to move to Kalos! There is so many things I need to know like: What day do we leave? Can I take all my pokemon? Does this mean I will be moving schools? I wonder what it's like in Kalos?' I start thinking to myself in excitement.

"I know I sprung this on you so suddenly but I hope you can understand." Says my Mum snapping me out of the millions how thoughts in my head.

"Yeah, I understand. And I can't wait!" I say jumping in my seat a little bit in joy that I get to explore another region. Which I suppose wasn't the reaction my mother was expection because she look just as surprised as me.

"Wow, you took that better than I expected." She says while letting a small giggle.

"Yeah, im excited to explore a new region! How about you buddy? I ask Pikachu who had finished his dinner and now had started drinking some ketchup from the bottle.

"Pikachu!" He says in excitment, agreeing with me.

"That's great to her!" My Mum begins to speak. "I have already enroled you in a school in Kalos for you. And whats great about this school is that it has pokemon training subjects aswell, meaning that pokemon are permitted at the school." Says Mum, who seems no longer worryed or stressed.

"Wow, really! That means that I can take you into school with me Pikachu!" I say getting more excited while remembering that my current school doesn't allow pokemon because they see them as a distaction  to the students learning.

"Well you better get packing then, becasue we leave tomorrow." Mum begins to say. "And Monday is your first day at the school." She continues. "So I need you to pack your thinks and all your pokemon too." She finishes.

"Right so I have a lot to do tonight." I say while making making a plan in my head.

"Yeah, you do." says Mum "So you better get start packing and ill do the dishes."

I nod in agreement as I get up from my seat and thank my Mum and start to head up to my room followed by Pikachu to begin packing my things for the move tomorrow.
