~No One's POV~

Legends. Stories scattered through time. Mankind has become quite fond of recounting the exploits of heroes and villains. Forgetting so easily that we are remenants, byproducts of a forgotten past. Man, who was born from dust, was strong, wise, and resourceful. Although, he was born into an unforgiving world. An inevitible darkness, creatures of destruction. The creatures of Grimm, set their sights on man and all of his creations. The forces clashed, and it seemed the creatures were intent on returning man to the void, after its brief exisistence. But, even the smalles spark of hope is enough to ignite change. Within time, man's passion, resourcefulness, and enginuity, led them to the tools that would help even the odds. This power was named: Dust. Man lit their way through the darkness, with natures wrath in hand. In the shadows absense, came strength, civilization, and most importantly, life. However, the most brilliant lights must flicker, and die. And when they are gone, darkness will return.

~Flash To Thugs Walking Towards a Dust Store~

So bring on your guardians. Build your monuments, to a so called "free world". However, take heed. There will be no victory in strength.

~Leader Thugs POV~

"Or perhaps, victory is in the things you've long forgotten." I say, walking into the Dust store. "Things that require a smaller, more honest soul."

We walk up to the shop keeper, and I take the cigar out of my mouth.

"Do you have any idea, how hard it is to find a Dust shop open this late?" I ask, as one of my workers pulls out a gun, and points it at the shop keeper, forcing him to put his hands up.

"Please! Just take my money and leave!" The shop keeper tells us, in a frightened voice.

"Shhhh. Calm down. We're not here for your money." I tell him "Grab the Dust."

They take tubes out of boxes, and put them into the Dust holders, sucking the Dust out of them.

"Crystals." One of them say "Burn, uncut."

~Random Thugs POV~

I'm walking over to a tube, and right when I'm about to put a compartment up to the bottom of the tube, I see two kids. One older and taller, and the other with a red cloak on.

"Alright you two, put your hands where I can see them." I demand, putting my sword at them. "Hey! You two got a death wish or something?"

~(Y/n)'s POV~

Someone turns me and Ruby to face them randomely.

"Huh?" Ruby asks, while the guy points at his ears, indicating fo rus to take of our headphones.

"What?" I ask

"I said, put your hands where I can see them. Now!" The guy tells us

"Hold on...are you...robbing us?" I ask

"YES!" The guy yells

"Ohh." I say, Ruby launching him through the window across the store.

"Freeze!" Another guy yells, pointing a gun at us, this time being tackled through a window by both of us.

When we get up, I pull out my double-sided scythe, and Ruby pulls out her giant red scythe. We turn to face the store again, and slam our scythes into the ground, turning our music off.

"Okaaayyy..." The guy who looks like the leader starts. "Get them."

Two of them charges at us, one towards me, and another towards Ruby.

"This'll be fun." I say, kicking the guy in the face. When I look over to Ruby, just in time to see her use her scythe on the ground, and kick a guy in the side of the head.

More thugs charge me, so I pull my scythe into two different scythes, using them as dual pistols, to shoot one, and quickly put them back togehter, and slam it into another guy. One of them started firing at us, but Ruby kicks him towards the leader.

"You were worth every cent. Truly you were." He says sarcastically "Well, Gray, Red, it has been an eventful evening it seems. And as much as I would love to stick around, this is where we will have to part ways." He points his cane at us, and the scope flips up, then he shoots at us, causing a massive explosion.

When we land, we look up, noticing the guy ran. I start looking around and see him climbing up a ladder.

"Ruby." I say

"What is it?" She asks

"Make sure the shop keeper is okay, then join me on the roof." I say, launching myself up onto the roof, right behind him. "HEY!"

The leader stops, not bothering to look towards me. "Persistent."

"I'm about to teach you something." I say

"What is that?" He asks me

"Don't make my hood fall off, unless you have some sort of death wish." I say, pulling apart my scythes putting them into dual pistols again, and point them at him.

Then, as if it were magic, a giant helicopter starts flying near the roof top, as Ruby lands besides me. Then the leader jumps onto the helicopter.

"End of the line you two!" He yells at us, throwing a bomb at us, then shooting at the bomb. "Woohoohooho-hm?"

When we look up, we see a Huntress guarding us from the blast, with a giant purple circle. Ruby smiles, while the Huntress shoots at the helicopter.

"We got a Huntress." I can hear the man yell to the person driving the helicopter.

When they try to fly away, the Huntress shoots above the helicopter, forming a storm cloud. When she throws her arm down, a bunch of ice falls out of the cloud, one going through the front glass, almost hitting the man in the head. When I look back at where the man entered the helicopter, a woman is standing there, and shoots fire at us, only for it to be blocked by the Huntress. The woman then slowly raises her hand, causing a giant beam of fire to shoot out from under the Huntress. When the Huntress dodges it, she stops the rubble, and forms a giant spear out of it, shooting it at the woman, only for the woman to shoot at it with more blasts of fire. Then the spear reforms after being hit by the blasts, and starts heading for the helicopter again. The man leans the helicopter down to the side, causing it to ricochet off the top, breaking the spear, causing the Huntress to make three smaller spears. The woman in the helicopter blasts out one strong gblast og fire, disintegrating all the rubble, allowing them to start flying away. Ruby and I start shooting at the woman, but all the bullets were being destroyed. Then the woman makes five circles appear under us, forcing the Huntress to get us out of the way, then jumping away herself. When we look back up, the side door closes, and they fly away.

"You're a Huntress..." Ruby says, causing her to look over at us. "Can I have your autograph?"

~Time Skip~

Ruby and I are sitting in a dark room, with a spotlight on above us.

"I hope you two know, that your actions tonight will not be taken lightly! You put yourselves, and others, in great danger." The Huntress tells us.

"They started it!" Ruby yells, as I put my hand on her shoulder, causing her to look back at me, as I shake my head.

"If it were up to me, you two would be sent home. With a pat on the back." The Huntress starts, making Ruby smile.

"Aaaaand..." I mumble

"And a slap on the wrist!" The Huntress whips her wand at us, causing Ruby to lean away, but I don't flinch at all.

"There it is." I say

"But. There is someone who would like to meet you two." The Huntress finishes, revealing a man with gray hair, and glasses on  walks in with cookies, and a cup in his other.

"Ruby Rose." The man says "Youuuu, have silver eyes."

"U-um..." Ruby says

"(Y/n) (L/n). You have...golden eyes." He points out the obvious.

"Can we get to the point?" I ask

"Very well. So! Where did you two learn to do this?" The man asks

"Signal Academy. I just graduated, and was accepted as a first year at Beacon Academy." I say "She also learned at Signal Academy, but hasnt graduated."

"If you have such an age difference, why were you with her tonight?" He asks me

"Let's just say...someone I couldn't say no to asked me to watch over her tonight." I explain, then look away, hiding the slight blush on my cheeks.

"More importantly, they taught you two to use some of the most dangerous weapons ever designed?" He asks

"Well...one teacher in particular." Ruby explains

"I see." The man says, placing the cookies on the table in front of us.

At first, Ruby hesitates, and then quickly eats one. Then I pick one up and eat one.

"It's just...I've only seen one other scythe wielder of that skill. A dusty old crow." He tells us

"That's my uncle." Ruby tells him, face stuffed with cookies.

"Try again Ruby." I say

"Sorry, that's my Uncle Crow. He's a teacher at Signal. Be fore he took me under his wing, I was complete garbage. But now, I'm all like..." Ruby then does some karate poses.

"So I've noticed." The man says, then turns to me. "How about you?"

"I've known the family for a while, so he taught me also." I explain

"So, what are you two doing at a school designed to train warriors?" He asks

"Why else?" I ask "I want to be a Huntsman."

"I want to be a Huntress." Ruby says

"You two want to slay monsters?" He asks us

"Yea." I say

"You see, I still have two more years at Signal. Then I'm going to apply to Beacon. My sister is applying this year along with (Y/n), and they are trying to become a Huntsman and Huntress. So that makes me wanna become a Huntress, because I wanna help people." Ruby starts explaining "And my parents always taught us to help others, and Huntsman and Huntresses are just so much more romantic, and exciting, and cool, and AHHH, you know?!"

"She does that a lot." I say, noticing them just staring at her.

"Do you know who I am?" He asks

"You're Professor Ozpin." Ruby says "You're the headmaster at Beacon."

"Hello." Professor Ozpin says

"Nice to meet you." Ruby says

"Pleasure to meet you." I say

"You want to come to my school?" Ozpin asks Ruby

"More than anything." Ruby tells him

Ozpin looks at the Huntress from earlier, and back at Ruby. "Well, okay."

~Time Skip~

"Oh I can't believe I get to go to Beacon with my baby sister," Yang says, pulling Ruby in with one hand, "And my boyfriend!" Yang says, pulling me in with her other hand. "This is the best day ever!"

"Please stooop..." Ruby says, at a loss of oxygen.

"But I'm so proud of you!" Yang said

"It was nothing, really." Ruby tells her

"Nothing?! It was amazing!" Yang yells "Everyone is going to think you two are the bee's knees!"

"But I don't want to be the bee's knees, okay? I don't wanna be any kind of knees! I just wanna be a normal girl, with normal knees!" Ruby tells her

"For me, let people think what they want." I say

"Yea! See, (Y/n) gets it!" Yang says "What's wrong? Aren't you excited?"

"Of course I'm excited, I just...I was moved ahead two years. I don't want anyone to think that I'm special." Ruby explains

"But you are special." Yang comforts her, putting her arm around her shoulders.

"And let people think what they think. Don't let it bother you to much if they think you're special. Besides, we're here for you!" I say, putting my arm around them.

Then we heard the TV in the background. "The robbery was led by nefarious criminal, Roman Torchwick, who continues to evade authorities."

"Why does everyone look like a shadow?" I ask, just getting a shrug.

"If you have any information on his whereabouts, please don't hesitate to contact the police department! Back to you Lisa!" The man said

"Thank you Seril." A woman says, popping back onto the TV. "In other news, this Saturdays Fallness Civil Rights Protest turned dark. When members of the White Fang interrupted the ceremony. The once peaceful orginization has now disrupted-" The TV was zapped off, and the Huntress from the other day pops up.

"Hello, and welcome to Beacon." The Huntress says

"Who's that?" Yang asks

"My name is Glynda Goodwitch." She introduces herself

"Oh." Yang says

"That was rather convenient." I say "Okay, seriously, why does everyone look like a shadow?"

"You are among the few students who have been accepted to Beacon Academy." Glynda explains

"Look at that. Her hair is almost as blonde as yours. That's a first." I tell Yang "And her purple cape is almost as dark as your purple eyes."

"Are you making fun of me?" Yang asks

"No, I think your hair and eyes are actually really beautiful." I tell her, managing to get a tiny blush out of her.

"Our world is experiencing an incredible time of peace." She continues "As future Huntsman and Huntresses, it is your duty to uphold that peace. You have shown the courage needed for this task. And now it is our turn to provide you with the knowledge and the training to protect our world."

When she finishes, the hologram dissapears.

"Woooow." Ruby exclaims, looking out the window. "Look you can sse Signal from up here!"

Yang and I walk up to the window, hand in hand, and look at the view with Ruby.

"I guess home isn't so far afterall." Ruby says

"Beacon's our home now." Yang tells us

Then we hear some groaning, and turn to see a blonde guy about to puke.

"Well, the view isnt for everyone I guess." I say

"It was nice while it lasted." Ruby says

"I wonder who we're going to meet?" Yang wonders

"I just hope it's better then vomit boy." I say

"Ew, Yang! You have puke on your shoes!" Ruby yells

"Gross, gross, gross, gross, gross, gross, gross!" Yang yells

"Get away from me!" Ruby yells, while I habd Yang a towel.

"Well, what adventures await us in the future?" I ask

"I guess we'll just have to wait and see." Yang says, handing the now puke stained towel to me.

"Yea...thanks..." I say, throwing the towel out a window.

"Awww, you big baby!" Yang says

"...Really? Can you really call me a baby after you flailed around because of it?" I asked

"He' got a point." Ruby agrees with me

"Like you can talk! You were just screaming at me to get away from you!" Yang yells, regaining her composure. "Anyways, it'll be interesting to see what happens."

"Yea...I can't wait." I say
