Where she meets the Prince of Jordan and he can't help but feel just a lil jealous.

---

@Haya : I was so pleased to meet the Deputy Crown Prince of Jordan, HRH Al Hunain bin Hussein ll who was able to make it to my first ever arranged digital summit. I meet so many people every single day and not alot of them leave an impression worth remembering. To have a charming personality grace our event and share all his wonderful life experiences was an honor. I promised him that I'd visit Jordan soon and he promised that he will be the one to show me around.

@AmirBinAbdullah
I see you found a replacement for me.

@Haya
Yes, I did. Since you were too 'busy' to even respond to a royal invitation :))

@AmirBinAbdullah
I really do apologise. It slipped my mind and my team was ignorant enough.

@Haya
Sounds like you need a better memory and an even better team.

@AmirBinAbdullah
I'm working on the second one.

@Haya
I am sure you are.

@AmirBinAbdullah
I'm glad the summit went well.

@Haya
Extremely well. Prince Hunain really spoke his heart out without any diplomatic fear.

@AmirBinAbdullah
Well, he's not a crown Prince, just a deputy one.

@Haya
Well, aren't you a modest man.

@AmirBinAbdullah
You know, it really does look unprofessional to be sitting so close to each other and laughing like that. Just an advice.

@Haya
He was a charming man who knew how to make us all laugh. I couldn't help it.

@Haya
Besides, I treat every single person who visits the Palace as my friend. There's a reason why I am who I am.

@AmirBinAbdullah
I am sure that there is a reason. Prince Hunain is engaged, you should know that.

@Haya
Yes, I do know that. I am invited to the wedding as well.

@AmirBinAbdullah
Good. Maybe, we can finally meet at the wedding.

@Haya
With your memory, I'm not sure if you'll even attend.

@AmirBinAbdullah
It's quite late in Buredaan so I'll let you sleep.

@Haya
Good Night.

To be able to wake up in the morning every single day is a blessing in itself. How many people die in their sleep? How many people make plans one night before and then never open their eyes again? How many people think that they have alot of time but they don't. How many people think they can still make up for their mistakes, that they can change their life, turn it around?

But they never wake up.

So how lucky are we, to be able to wake up in the morning, every single day.

I entered the dining hall with a smile, knowing that I was late but also knowing that I could finally talk with my father about my gift.

Other people be damned, how much more time was I going to spend in waiting for him to not be so busy? He was always busy. It was an established fact.

I looked through the dining table, instantly spotting my mother, father and two of my brothers. My maternal uncle was also present at the table, along with his wife.

I let out a sigh, smiling down at them all and greeting my father.

"Good morning, Father." I mumbled, sitting on his right side. Even though it was morning and he was supposed to look fresh, he looked absolutely exhausted, almost to the point where I felt like he hadn't slept for days.

"Good morning, darling. How are you?" He still responded with his usual cheerful attitude, dulling the slight ache in my heart.

"I'm fine, I'm sorry I'm late." I apologised, he merely shrugged, not caring about it at all.

"Why are you ready at this hour anyway?"

"I'm going out with Yaman and Mahrookh."

"Commander Yaman has duties at this time of the day." My brother interfered.

I smiled, narrowing my eyes at him.

"Yes, but it's a holiday and we have to find a perfect ring for him. He's proposing to a woman in a few days."

"Okay,"

I turned my attention back to my father.

"Actually father, I need to talk to you about my gift." I started off, he looked up at me..encouraging me to go on.

"Oh yes, you had to ask me for something special."

"Yes, I do. And I'll understand if you say no but you know very well that I'm best for this job." I rambled, he raised an eye at me.

My mother looked like she was ready to laugh at me for being this confident.

"Do I? Look at my daughter, being so proud." My father's tone was nowhere cruel but I knew that he didn't like the fact that I was being over confident. What he thought was me being over confident.

"It's self confidence and you know it. It's all I've ever wanted and all I've talked about."

My father let out a small sigh, eating a few bites before he stared at me like he knew what I wanted.

"You want the ministry of human rights." He stated.

"What?" My mother mumbled in shock.

"The hell?" My brother clearly didn't like it much. He believed that one should work hard enough to reach at a certain point, yet he had got everything served on a silver platter. He was the hypocritical one.

I nodded at my father.

"Yes, father. I do." I agreed.

He cracked a smile.

"I wasn't expecting a Paris trip from you anyway, I told your mother that this day would come, that our sweet daughter isn't going to be coaxed by diamonds." He explained.

How busy was he? And yet, how much did he know about me? Too much. He knew me too well.

"You know me."

"You will be taking oath next Monday, our current minister will supervise you for three months before I promote him. If you don't do a good job, I'll fire you." He ordered.

Was it really that easy? I had been dreading this day for a long time because I was afraid he'd reject me, or think of me as not good enough. But he hadn't. He thought I was good enough.

"Father, you're really..oh my, Are you serious?" I gasped.

"I didn't raise you as a strong woman for you to just sit at home. You have a voice, about time you're at a position where you can raise it properly."

I stood up from my seat as he said those words to me. In our world, women were told to shut their mouths and birth children, that they had nothing to do with any of it but my father wasn't one of those people. Even that made me so proud of who he was.

"Thank you. You really made me speechless today." I kissed his hand, showing my gratitude.

"You will not fight with people, you will not argue with elders and you'll always consult me before taking any big decision." His voice was firm but also so very sweet.

"Okay, I promise." I promised, kissing his hand once again.

He patted my head, pointing to my seat.

"Good. Now eat your breakfast."

But I wasn't ready to go back and sit on my seat. My happiness had no boundaries and I couldn't help but lean into my father's ear.

"You're the best father ever." I whispered, saying it like it was a secret when it wasn't a secret at all.

"Am I?" His eyes gleamed with a light that I knew was his love for me.

"Yes. You really are."

"I've always felt proud to be your father, it's time you make me a proud king too."

I had always said what my heart wanted me to say and while alot of people critisized me for it, my father was not one of them.

"I will, I promise." I said once again.

"Good. Now eat your food." He gestured me to go back to my seat. I agreed.

"Yes, your majesty." I said with a smile, ate my food with a contented heart and for some reason, I couldn't wait to share this news with Amir.
