Haya.

"I just think that I should be the one to be there. Don't you?"

Haya questioned him, sipping her morning black coffee as she sat on the couch while her husband sprayed oud all over himself.

"If you're there for the first, you'll have to be there for all six, Haya." He murmured, she shrugged.

"I don't mind that." She responded, Amir understood that she wanted to take charge all the time but there had to be a time and place for everything.

"Look, I really appreciate the idea. I don't mind it at all but it's just,"

He tried to explain as he focused all his attention on her, putting the oud back on the marble table.

"If a woman who is born and bred in Maraaish sits there along with the successful Maraaishi woman, it would feel more comfortable and impactful."

He assured to her.

Haya had come up with an idea of using digital platform to show case women who were successful entrepreneurs in Maraaish. It would create an impact and influence other women to work just the same way.

"If you're there, it might feel forced and might not sit well with many people." Amir cleared it out.

"But people are warming upto me. Have you seen how everyone's been talking about me lately?"

She questioned back.

It was true. Haya was being talked about on social media the most. Her speech was the third most impactful speech of the night, right after America's and France.

Amir let out a soft sigh and walked towards her.

He took her face in his hands.

"My love, I know all of that. People in Maraaish don't share the same sentiment as other people. It will take time." He explained, continuing as she peered at him through her fake lashes.

"Right now, for most of them you're just a woman who is trying to degrade the male influence within the country."

"All you need to do is have a little bit of sabr." He tried, making Haya nod in understanding.

"Be patient, you're doing good." He said again, he moved back and she picked up her coffee again.

"Okay, you're right."

"Now will you please get changed so we can leave for breakfast?" Haya stood up.

"Yes."

"I have to make a phone call. I'll be in the study."

@DailyMail : Learn all about social media's favourite Princess Haya of Buredaan in our latest article.

Political Activist, Empowering Feminist or Sex on Legs?

'A year ago, she was a human rights activist. Two years ago, she was a party girl. Three years ago, she was involved with a man involved in human trafficking. She's not changed, she's just turned smart.' claimed a Royal biographer.

Princess Haya Najaf, youngest daughter of the King of Buredaan and the wife of Crown Prince Amir of Maraaish.

The Princess was born in Buredaan, a country well known for it's monarchy disguised in the name of democracy sometimes.

Spoiled rotten by her parents, she was sent to Oxford. In her first year, she got five students suspended using her Princess contacts. She attracted men and apparently, women too.

At twenty one, she returned back to Buredaan. If King Najaf expected to have a tamed daughter back, he was in for a surprise.

Princess Haya slept around like nobody's business. A Hollywood actor flown all the way from the Bahamas to Buredaan, just to spend a night with the Princess because she had found him cute. A married banker at a party attracted her so she shared bed with him as well. A businessman family friend was also on her list.

A party on the Royal yacht, a flight to shop in Paris, luxury designers at her beck and call and a Prince, who was infatuated with her.

And no, that is not the Prince currently married to Princess Haya.

A close source to the Royal family of Jordan told the daily mail all about Princess Haya's close bond with the Prince of Jordan. 'Prince Hunain was infatuated with her for years' the source stated.

They went to parties together, flew around the world to see each other, arranged birthday parties too and then named each other as just friends.

Since the world is now going gaga over the Princess due to her appearance at the Global Civil Initiative, everyone should know who she really is before making up their mind.

Princess Haya fired two of her mother's assistants because they didn't pick up her phone call.

She got a restaurant closed permanently because they refused to serve something that wasn't in the menu to one of her close friends.

She might have become a human rights activist but she also chose to marry in Maraaish, a country well known for its violation of women's rights in particular.

The Princess does not wear the same dress twice. Meanwhile, there are people all around the world that are dying.

She has a history of one night stands and weekly affairs. Now we're supposed to see her as the wife of a pious Prince?

"I can't read anymore. What the fuck is this?"

She was feeling incredible today.

Last night had been amazing. She didn't even remember what time it was when her and Amir fell asleep. They had talked, they had made out, made love, slept in each other's arms.

He was the one to wake her up, the one she had whined in front of, telling him that she just needed to sleep for a little more. She had put her head on his chest and slept some more again.

Amir had to literally pick her up in his arms and twirl around, just so she would wake the hell up. She had laughed out loud because he had chosen her sensitive spot and instead of kissing it, he had tickled her.

She felt great.

They had even showered together again. So while everything was going great and she was telling Aaliyah that they would go to the Palace in one car, Amir had called her and told her she needed to come with him.

Now, they were together in his car while Aaliyah was in another one just behind them.

He had handed over his tablet to her, asking her to read whatever was on it. Next thing she knew, she was reading shitty things about her ownself.

"Everything on there, is it true?"

She heard him ask.

"Do you really need me to repeat the same words again? You knew who I was when you married me."

She insisted again, her husband let out a sigh.

"Yes, I know. But I'm only asking if any of the words written are untrue. We can file a case then."

She lifted her arms up, surprised.

"Haya?" He asked her again.

Well, she had been a bitch. Yes, she had closed a restaurant temporarily but only because they had insulted Yaman and his fiance twice. Yes, she had slept with a banker but she was quite drunk that night and he was extremely charming.

And yes, the Hollywood actor had been flown to her country but only because his film had become a major hit and Haya liked him enough to throw a party for him, as a celebration. It was only after the party that they slept together.

And everyone knew about Hunain's friendship with her. She didn't even have the energy to find out which source said what because she didn't really care enough.

"It's true, Amir." She affirmed, not getting any reaction from him. He simply remained quiet and looked at her as she spoke.

"But the way this article has villanised me for living my life? What the hell?"

"And I don't want to sue the daily mail anyway. God knows they pulled the same shit on Meghan Markle and she wasn't even a Princess! They're fucking racists."

She cursed, louder than before.

"You're a Prince. Get it unpublished." She said.

"Haya,"

She didn't know whether he was disappointed in her because she told him everything was true or because she was being loud.

"What? You have the influence. Make a phone call before this blows up."

"I need to talk to my father first. My team." She shook her head.

"No! This isn't about your image or your political leadership shit. It's about your wife. This is that simple."

She cursed again, Amir put a hand on his head.

"I am all about freedom of speech, I don't mind that this article is written." She continued.

"But I do mind that when I'm trying to make a fucking difference, these bastards are trying to portray me in a negative light."

He put a hand on her face thigh and gave her a look.

"Stop cursing." He firmly said, shaking his head as he had enough of her cursing like that.

He removed his hand from her thigh and pulled out his phone, making a call.

"Ahlain. I'm fine, Irjaaz. Kindly look into the daily mail article about Princess Haya and get it removed."

Haya heard him say. She felt herself relax as he talked over the phone.

"Yes, that will be all. Make it fast."

He ended the phone call and Haya looked at him, frowning as she saw a sudden anger on his face.

"Why do you look angry?"

When he didn't answer her question, she called his name again.

"Amir,"

So, he had read the article and he was probably thinking about all those men and all the stories and she didn't want him to think that she was a horrible person. She wasn't.

"You knew who I was when you married me. I will not apologise for the kind of person I was or the kind of person that I am." She clearly stated, not in the mood to explain herself over and over again.

Besides, he had done a full research on her before getting married. He had no right to feel mad now.

"I'm not asking you to." He quietly said, looking ahead instead of looking at her.

"Just give me a moment, I need to wrap my head around it." He murmured.

It angered Haya. Wrap his head around what exactly?!

"Around the fact that your wife is different from you? You've had months!" She exclaimed, her own anger resurfacing.

"I don't want an argument, Haya." He simply replied, voice neutral and unload.

"I'm not arguing!" She said out loud, frustrated herself.

Sometimes when she acted like a spoiled child, he had to recite verses in his head to keep his calm.

Amir turned his head towards her.

"Yes, you are. You are being loud and you are misbehaving. Don't." He warned, still not loud but instead..his voice had turned even more soft.

Haya hated arguing with him.

"I'm not misbehaving," She tried, moving closer.

She didn't want him to think she was ill mannered towards him.

"I'm just trying to understand why this affects you." She murmured.

"Because it does. I am a Crown Prince. Everything anyone does impacts me."

He told her, Haya nodded in understanding. She could understand his point of view but if he was going to be upset with her because of some article, she just could not stand it. There is nothing written in that article about him, it was all about her. And while she was representation of him now, all of her acts were her own responsibility.

"Look, the article is going to be unpublished. There's no need for damage control because it's not that important. I've had worst things written about me."

She tried to assure him.

"I've never read anything negative written about any member of my family." He told her, she simply shrugged.

Every single person of her family had faced some scandalous article about themselves. Even her innocent and introvert brother, Shahid. This was nothing new to her but Maraaish was different.

"Well, I'm special." She answered with a chuckle, smiling at him.

All of his anger disappeared as he saw the smile on her face. Sometimes, he thought he was a love struck fool.

"I'm not mad at you for who you used to be, Haya. You grew, you blossomed. You changed."

He told her, reaching out to hold her hand.

"It's just that I am a man." She frowned, not understanding where he was going with this.

"And no matter how much I try, a part of me will always feel a little mad because my wife has been with men before me."

He honestly said, Haya made a sound of protest in her throat.

"But shouldn't that make you feel better? I mean, out of all the men I could have chosen, I chose you." She insisted, her hand reaching out to trace patterns on his jaw.

"I fell in love with you, not them."

Amir nodded.

"Can I ask you something else?"

"Yes, anything."

She waited for him to ask what he wanted to.

"Did you fall in love with me because I was a Crown Prince or because of the person that I was?"

She could have asked him why he was even asking such a question, could have told him to stop being affected by stupid articles but sometimes, all a person needed was honesty and assuredness.

"I can't lie and say that my attention and my effort into you wasn't because you were the Crown Prince. "

She accepted, watching his eyebrows furrow at her.

"I've always wanted to be with a powerful man and you were, but I never really thought I could fall in love so easily and so naturally." She further said, continuing to stare at him.

"I think I fell in love with you in the moment when you said that I was making you sin."

She remembered that day so clearly. It was one of her most special and cherished memories.

"No one has ever said something so pure and honest to me. I think it was everything about you that made me fall in love like anything. It should have been your stature but it really wasn't."

Haya admitted the truth, finding him smile down at her as she leaned even closer, placing her head on his shoulder.

"And I see dimples." She laughed, glad that she had made them pop out.

"You've turned very good with your words." Amir murmured in appreciation, relaxing with her mere words in an instant for the very first time.

"And you did not even curse." Haya added with a laugh.

He hummed, thankful that she hadn't.

"Yeah, I wanted to say I fell in love so fucking bad but then I figured it wouldn't sit well with you." Haya said, cursing anyway.

Amir simply groaned but placed a kiss on her head nonetheless.

"Thank you, baby. I'll handle everything, don't you worry."

And he would.

He would do anything for her.

"Good morning." Haya greeted her mother in law cheerfully, as she saw the woman await her and Aaliyah at the entrance of her home.

"Assalam alaykum, Haya. Good morning to you too."

"Where's my son?" She questioned as she leaned into meet her daughter in law properly, glancing over her shoulder to see Haya's cousin as well.

"He went straight to the working part of the Palace." Haya joked, returning the hug as she air kissed the woman's cheeks in traditional way.

"Aaliyah, it is so wonderful to have you here. Haya talks so much about you."

She turned to meet Haya's bestfriend, smiling warmly as Aaliyah greeted her as well.

"Salam, thank you. It is so nice to meet you as well."

"Please, come in. Everyone's been waiting for you."

Haya smiled, gesturing Aaliyah to move forward as well. As they reached the main hall, her eyes raised as she saw all the women already sitting and awaiting their arrival.

She couldn't see any male family member. She knew that Akbar was out of the country, where as Adil was with the King along with her brother. Amir had just went off to meet them as well.

Haya kept quiet as she saw Azeezah introducing Aaliyah to everyone again, since they had already met briefly at the wedding once.

Not that Aaliyah would even remember. She was extremely bad with names.

On the other hand, Haya met everyone warmly as well. She didn't remember the last time she had even sat with the rest of Amir's family. It was usually his mother only.

After almost half an hour of chat with the women, it was time for breakfast. They walked towards the dining hall, sitting on their seats as everyone arrived too.

Amir gestured Haya and Aaliyah to come towards him as he entered alongside his father. Before the King could even sit down, Haya greeted him with a salam.

The King smiled and greeted her back, asking for her health. He went onto greet her cousin as well, questioning about her father who he had met on many occasions.

Illyas and Adil had already taken their seats, along with Khalifah who seemed like he was a part of the family too. Haya knew that usually mixed family gatherings with outsiders wasn't allowed here. Yet, Khalifah seemed very comfortable.

Clearly, he was considered a part of the family too.

She saw her cousin's lingering gaze on him. She could clearly see Aaliyah's intrigue but she knew the woman enough to not do anything about it. He was a married man. She wouldn't even try to go there.

Next, she observed Suhoor staring at her brother. Illyas didn't really look at her. She was glad that he wasn't acting stupid today. People here were highly observant. She still didn't understand how Amir hadn't come to know of his sister and her brother talking alone for half an hour. It was surprising for her.

Finally, Haya looked at her man and smiled.

At the end of the day, she didn't give a fuck. She was happy, she was with the man she loved and she was married. She didn't need to worry about anyone trying to do something that would cause a hurdle in her relationship.

For Amir, marriage was sacred and pure.

The only thing she did worry about, was the fact that terms between the two families could get ruined due to an unfailed relationship. She never wanted her brothers and Amir to stand against one another.

She felt his hand on her thigh, a confused frown on his face as he saw the conflicted expression on hers.

Haya shook her head at him, taking a bite of her food and smiling as if to assure him that she was just alright.

"Haya,"

She looked at Amir's father, who had called her name.

"I want to say that I am happy with the way you represented our country."

He started off.

"I will admit that I was very concerned but Amir told me that he trusted you to do the job well and I think he was right."

Haya grinned softly, seeing a proud expression on the face of the Crown Prince as well.

"As long as you are careful and understanding of the situation, I think you will prove to be an asset for Maraaish, inshallah."

She knew that Amir was in control but she also knew that the King was the one who needed to approve of anything. Even though he didn't handle affairs of the government due to his old age, he was still the highest authority in the country. The fact that he told Haya directly that he wasn't disappointed at all, it meant a lot to her.

"Thank you."

She couldn't really say anything more than that. Not because she was overwhelmed or anything but because, she simply felt grateful.

For the first time, she felt like he had confidence in her. She was always used to her father's confidence and now, her father in law had started to trust her a little too. It was quite amazing.

"Amir will tell you about the conversation we had. I am sure you will understand." He further said, pointing towards her husband.

Haya nodded, looking at Aaliyah who raised an eyebrow at her.. impressed.

"Father had a talk with King Najaf. He persuaded Illyas on Adil's idea. We'll be signing a few MOU's next month."

Amir informed, Haya hummed as she saw her brother eating his breakfast in a relaxed manner.

"What about your friend? He doesn't look too happy."

Haya pointed out, staring at Khalifah.

"Father promoted him. He's going to be Maraaish's ambassador in Buredaan. He loves Oman."

Haya nodded, but then spared a glance at Aaliyah and wanted to groan.

What was with all this sudden coincidence?

A while later, the King stood up. He met with Illyas, said his farewell and told Amir to see him off properly. Next, he told Aaliyah to say salam to her father from his side and then slowly walked out of the dining hall.

The man could not sit for a long period of time and Haya knew that. She saw the concerned look on Amir's face but then the Prince turned around on the table and continued to eat breakfast.

It seemed like he was used to it. His father was clearly not getting any better with time.

"Amir told me you've been promoted. Congratulations." Haya said, looking at Khalifah.

He let out a sigh and looked at Amir, shaking his head.

"To your home country. Any messages you'd like to be delivered?"

He asked back, finding Haya laugh.

"No, just an advice." Haya shot back.

"Hmm?"

"Don't get distracted by pretty girls in nice dresses."

Khalifah was the one who laughed this time. He lifted his hand, showing her his wedding ring.

"I won't." He affirmed.

"His wife is so gentle. You better not bring a second one on her, Khalifah." Haya heard her mother in law say, he simply shrugged.

"I was this close, khalaty." He told her, continuing.

"Maybe in the future, I will marry any other one but right now..she's more than enough."

"She should always be enough." Haya interjected, shrugging.

Adil looked at his brother after hearing Haya's comment and laughed.

"No second one for you then, Amir." He joked, Amir clicked his tongue.

"My sister will probably kill him even if he tries." Illyas interjected, chuckling as both the friends nodded.

"He won't," Haya stated with confidence, looking at Amir.

"Besides, people here haven't been married once and here you are, talking about a second marriage."

"Najma will be married soon, inshallah. Suhoor might be too, if she stops being stubborn." Amir said, looking at his sister who almost rolled her eyes.

"And what about you, Prince Illyas?" Her mother in law questioned her brother.

"Please call me Illyas. We are family after all."

Her brother sweetly replied. He was always good with women, it didn't matter what age they were.

"I guess I haven't found the right one yet." He replied to her query.

He finds the right ones every day but he loses interest after a night.

Haya wanted to say but she didn't, for the sake of her brother's reputation.

"And Adil will marry when the world is about to end." Adil himself said, clearly not interested in the idea of marriage.

"And you, Aaliyah?"

"Whenever God wills. It's not in our hands."

Haya looked at Illyas and Illyas looked at Haya, shocked at the tenderness and the words that spewed out of Aaliyah's mouth.

She wanted to laugh so hard.

"Well, this has been lovely. I think it's time to leave." Illyas stood up after a few moments, stepping back as he nodded at Amir's family and then came towards his sister.

"Be good." He murmured against her as she embraced him, rolling her eyes.

"Be careful." Haya whispered against him, air kissing both of his cheeks. She looked at Suhoor, who clearly didn't seem too happy at the idea of him leaving.

Illyas didn't look at her again, even though he wanted to. He didn't want anyone to be suspicious.

Aaliyah came forward too, embracing Haya.

She had to change her mind after a phone call from Uncle Hamad. He told Haya he needed Aaliyah back in Buredaan, she had no choice but to send her back.

"I'll see you at Yusuf's wedding then?"

She asked Haya, who just nodded.

"Yeah, you will. Next month, InshaAllah."

Her cousin laughed.

"See, you're influencing her well." She said to Amir, saying her goodbye.

"I had a wonderful time. I wish I could stay longer but next time, I hope." She said to the Crown Prince.

"You're always welcome here."

As they walked out of the dining hall, into the main one..Haya felt Aaliyah's gaze on Khalifah too.

She squeezed Aaliyah's arm.

"Everytime you think of doing something you aren't supposed to do, call me." Haya said into her ear.

Her cousin only groaned softly and gave her a look. She didn't even know what had gone down last night. She didn't need to either.

Once everyone had left, Haya could only lean against Amir and sigh.

She didn't give a fuck about anything anyone did, as long as it didn't harm her own relationship.
