Haya.
"Evening, mummy. Where's father?"
I greeted my mother the moment I entered her chambers. I didn't see my father anywhere around so I guessed that once again, he was out to work.
It actually maddened me at times. My father was not twenty five, he fell sick just like any old person would. But he still kept on pushing himself, acting like he was not human or something.
He can fall sick rather quick, but he just doesn't admit it. Most of the times, mother or I have to drag him out of his office to atleast have dinner.
He cared for his people, ofcourse he did. But that did not mean that one should stop caring about his own self.
I stared at my mother as she answered me.
"He just left for an important meeting, is there something you wanted to discuss?" She questioned me, all I could do was nod.
I could not talk about it with anyone else, not untill I discussed it with my father first.
"Uh yes. But with him." I replied to her, entering her bedroom area.
My mother's hair was tied in a bun, like it usually was. She was wearing her signature pearl earrings and her peach lipstick, the one she always used. She smelled the usual, it's the same scent she had been using since years now.
Her scent was familiar, it was almost like home to me. She gave me a small playful smile, knowing that she would not be able to take it out of me. What I wanted to discuss with my father will remain between the both of us until I chose to say something out loud.
"And my only daughter wouldn't tell me what the issue is?" She stated, raising her eyes.
"There's no issue. I just have a demand." I responded.
Now, her eyes were completely raised as she started to repeat what I had just said.
"Demand?"
"Request." I corrected myself. She let out a chuckle.
"Demand." She corrected me yet again and I grinned back at her. She was right.
My mother knew me too well. She knew that if I had something on my mind, I would be willing to do anything to get it. But with father, I didn't really have to demand anything. He just gave it to me.
"Do you know when he will be back?" I questioned my mother, she shook her head at me.
"No, my love. I'm not sure about it. Come on, sit with me." She offered me the seat beside her but I shook my head yet again.
I had to get ready in an hour and leave for the premiere, I did not really have the time. I was going to meet Yaman's precious new girl at her movie premiere and since their relationship was a well kept secret, I had to be Yaman's date for the night.
"I would love to, but I actually have to get dressed. I'm attending the premiere with Yaman." At the mention of Yaman, a frown appeared on her face and I understood her concern.
She's my mother. She worries about me, about what people say.
"With Yaman? Are you sure you want to go there, Haya?"
"He's just my friend, mother. I don't see the problem in it." I assured her.
"You know what they say, right? They say that Princess Haya is dating Commander Yaman. Are you sure you want to add fuel to the fire?" She wanted me to be sure of what I was doing.
If I'm just having fun, I should have it behind closed doors. And if I am serious, I need to confide in her. But I'm neither having fun anymore nor am I serious about him.
Yaman and I were just friends. He had already filled me in on his plans to get get married this year and I felt happy for him.
"There's no fire. I don't think that I should base my friendships over what anyone says." I answered.
She nodded her head. She was not convinced but she hardly interfered in my life, not unless I was doing something that she felt would blow up in my face.
My mother always made sure that I was certain of what I was doing and sometimes, she reminded me of the past to make sure I wouldn't repeat it.
"Well, we've always let you do what you've wanted to do. Make sure to show me how you look, alright?" I smiled at her, kissing her cheek as I got ready to leave her room.
"I will." I told her, turning on my foot. She stopped me with her hand.
"Haya?"
"Yes, mother?" I looked at her, waiting for her query.
"I've heard that you have an interest in a certain crown Prince." She said again, with a teasing smile on her face and eyes filled with playfulness.
I let out a huge groan.
Was it Aaliya or my secretary? Probably Aaliya.
"Aaliya can't keep her mouth shut, can she?" My mother only confirmed my suspicions as she agreed with me.
"I guess not. Your father might be visiting there soon, you can accompany him if you want." She advised.
Something tells me that she's actually glad I'm showing interest in someone who is of the royal blood. My mother can be old school that way, about certain things.
"I'll think about it."
"Should I consider that a yes?"
If I say yes, she's going to get my name added in the guest list and then Maraaish will get to know that I'll be coming too. That would seem way too desperate, I would seem like some teenager crushing on a Prince. That shouldn't be my style.
"Only if the crown Prince decides to show up at my summit." I told mother of my plans.
She looked impressed.
"You're planning to invite him?"
"Would that be so wrong?"
"Playing chess, I see." I could not help but look away as she stared at me with the I know it all eyes, she knew that when I liked someone, I did everything in my power to make them mine.
It's a game that I liked to play and my mother knew about it. But Prince Amir, I didn't think I could play a game with him that way.
"Goodbye, mother."
I turnes around once again, bidding her goodbye and only hoping that she wouldn't tell father about my recent interests.

@Haya : it's never about power, it's always about the thoughts. If you can't think like a human being, what is the point of power then? Be compassionate, stop hurting the weak one's to show yourself that you're powerful.

@Haya : Out of all the things that men can do, the one they do most is rape innocent women and girls and children. Your masculinity does not get big if you rape an innocent person, it only shows how little you are compared to the thing hanging between your legs.

@Haya : Oh Princess Haya shouldn't say so much, oh she shouldn't talk much, it's not so royal. Well just shut up?! Princess Haya does not care about what you think :))

Thoughts? It's gonna get alot more interesting.
