Tell me what you think.

Haya.

"Yes, totally."  She spoke over the phone with her mother, still wondering how the hell this had happened all of a sudden.

If she was being honest, her brother did not seem like the kind of men who would instantly fall head over heels with someone. He was calm and collective, with both patience and intolerance ingrained in him at the same time.

"I did speak to dad yesterday. He told me nothing about the matter." She further said as her mother told her about Yusuf's sudden need for marriage.

"The same way your father didn't tell Yusuf about your liking towards Amir. How is this any different?"

Her mother defended. all the children had secrets and all of their children confided within their parents. Not even once had their father or mother broken their trust.

"Because," Haya said in a voice filled with complaint, feeling like she was out of the loop.

Her mother was right though.

"Okay, fine. I just don't understand what he saw in her. She is so bland." She grumbled, remembering how Sara was.

She was his childhood friend but they had never been too close as far as Haya knew. She had always kept tabs on all their brothers. Maybe, she was losing her touch now.

"Haya. She's a beautiful girl and very respectful."

Haya merely rolled her eyes, lifting her hand up and examining her french manicure, her eyes glancing her wedding ring for a moment before she turned her attention back to her mother.

"I just always thought Yusuf would end up with Aaliyah some day." She told the Queen.

Since Aaliyah was the closest person to Haya, she didn't want him to marry some businessman or some mere politician one day. She wanted her to marry someone who had a name and who was worthy enough.

"Aaliyah? Really?"

Haya remembered all those times Yusuf specifically remembered Aaliyah's birthdays, how he always made sure to smile and be polite, how her bestfriend gazed at him with pure stars in her eyes.

Aaliyah had never admitted it out loud but Haya knew that she did like her brother.

Well, too bad.

"Yes. There was always this  chemistry between them." She said over the phone, hearing a hum from the Queen before she spoke up.

"We didn't even know he loved Sara untill he came forward and told your father three days ago. We're planning to have an engagement party soon."

"And is my dear brother thinking of atleast inviting me?" Sarcasm rolled off her tongue and she rolled her eyes again.

One, she kind of wanted to talk to Amir but she was too stubborn and would never want to be the first one to speak up. Two, she hated being out of the loop. Three, she missed her family.

"Haya, what's with the bitterness today? Can't you be happy for him?" Her mother asked with a sigh, not liking her daughter's tone.

Haya groaned, but nodded anyway.

"You know I don't like Sara. But yes, I'm glad he found someone he loves no matter how annoying she is." She grumbled, hearing an unbelievable chuckle from her mother as she simply changed the topic.

"How's Amir?"

Ugh.

"I don't know, haven't asked him." She instantly replied, almost smacking herself.

She was in no mood to get a lecture on what she did and what he did and how she had to be a little bit smart than she thought she was.

"What?"

"Nothing, mother. He's fine. Can I call you back later? I have an interview in a while."

She decided to cut the call short, knowing that she would start whining about Amir in no moment if she didn't just stop talking to her mother.

"Ofcourse, good luck."

"Thanks, I'll call you."

She ended the phone call, putting it away.

be that with me. - Rumi.

She was simply sat on the bed, reading some historical novel on the history of Maraaish that she was still pretty confused by even after eight or so chapters.

She didn't understand certain things and she knew her questions might only offend Amir since they weren't very kind.

She was in the middle of reading the next chapter, studying about a warrior who was able to fight against countless men and still survive, winning a small piece of land that later came to be the capital of Maraaish. It was a land received after alot of hardwork.

She flipped the page, slightly frowning in confusion as she realised how the bed suddenly dipped and her book got put down on her lap.

She felt Amir's gaze on her.

"What?" She murmured, seeing how he didn't say anything but stared at her anyway.

He hadn't really said much to her since yesterday. He had mostly remained silent. Since he didn't answer and Haya hated being ignored, she rolled her eyes and tried to pick her book again.

But before she could do that, the Crown Prince blew air on her face and she realised what he had been doing all along. He was reading verses and praying while she was out here rolling her eyes.

"Oh," She whispered, hearing him recite some more lines as he blew on her face again.

She chuckled as he finished, staring at his face.

"If you're blowing something that'll make me all submissive, it's not happening." She told him with a little bit of sass, not really caring that they had an argument yesterday anymore.

"I'm not." Amir replied, giving her a small smile. It wasn't one of the dazzling Amir smile with his damned dimple but rather a stiff but pleasant smile.

"You didn't go to dinner last night." Haya pointed out, remembering that he hadn't even gone to have dinner with his mother.

Was it because he was upset with her or because he wanted to go with her instead of going alone?

"I went in the morning. You were asleep." He answered, pulling his legs up on the bed and sitting in a cross legged position.

"Okay. How's everyone?"

She was trying to make small talk because she didn't want to argue with him and neither did she want to apologise. He clearly understood what she was trying to do. He had kind of taken the first step to resolve a matter and now Haya was putting in her own effort.

"They're doing fine, alhamdullilah." He replied, Haya nodded.

"I have that interview in a while." She told him, even though she had it in a few hours.

"I'm sure you'll do fine." He stated, Haya shrugged.

"Yeah, I know."

He cleared his throat, staring at the wall clock to see the time for a minute before he turned back to see her.

"I might come back late today. There's a few meetings and an inauguration event to attend."

Haya kind of liked the fact that he always informed her of his plans for the day, he made sure to keep her in the loop, he told her whatever he had planned for the day and it kind of made her feel like an actual proper wife, which she obviously was.

"Okay. Want me to pack you lunch?" She playfully asked, grinning at him.

"Has the day of judgement come so soon?" Amir teased back, laughing himself.

"There's the dimple I haven't seen since yesterday."  Haya murmured, seeing his stupid perfect dimple that was one of the many reasons she fell in love with him in the first place.

Amir just shrugged his shoulders, smiling nonetheless.

"You're quite stubborn too. You didn't try to talk to me even once since yesterday." She mentioned, remembering how he had called her stubborn when infact, he was definitely stubborn too.

Amir shook his head.

"I'm not stubborn, Haya." He denied, continuing.

"When I get mad, I simply choose to stay silent so I don't say something harsh."

Oh well.

When Haya got mad about something, she made sure to say whatever came into her mind, she made sure to lash out at the person or the situation, she couldn't hold it in and remain silent..it just made her feel restless and out of control.

"Well, next time there's an argument..I want us to talk and end it. I'd rather fight and scream than stay silent." Haya told him, cocking an eyebrow as he shook his head at her.

"I'd rather stay silent than fight with you." He stated, Haya chuckled.

"Is that a compliment or an insult?" She enquired, narrowing her eyes at him playfully.

"Can I ever insult you?" He asked.

"Not if you know what's good for you." She murmured, Amir only grinned at her and leaned forward.

He cupped both the sides of her cheeks, squeezing.

"My baby." He said, eyes filled with awe for her.

"You know I don't like it when you call me that." She said, even though she didn't hate it at all.

Infact, it made her feel all tingly and happy.

"Don't you?" Amir asked back, knowing that she loved it.

She rolled her eyes and groaned, nodding with a soft pout.

"Okay, maybe..sometimes." Haya admitted, feeling him lean in for a kiss.

She stopped him.

"Wait," Amir looked at her and frowned.

"What?" She pointed towards his phone, slightly smirking as he held it up..staring at her.

"Switch it off first." She said, reminding him of how it had rang at the worst time possible yesterday.

"Haya.." He sighed, shaking his head.

"I'm serious. From now on, cell phones need to be miles away when this is happening."

She murmured, waiting for him to switch off his phone.

"Okay, love. Whatever you say." Amir said, smiling down at her as he switched his phone off.

"Thank you, Prince." Haya thanked, coming close enough and getting on her knees, on the bed as she held onto his shirt collar.

"Can I kiss you now, Princess?" Amir asked, teasing her as he held onto her waist..tightening the grip.

"Yes please." She whispered, feeling his lips on hers in the very next second.

@Haya : back when I tried to kind of look cool.
