Break Ride, Strides and Multi-attacks

Ok so I was asked this question by amaterasuminerva. The question was "I break ride and Legion, could I do break ride skills then state Legion?" specifically she asked "I break ride Fenrir on top of Metis, since it has LB Fenrir get Metis break ride skill. Is that okay if I continue with liberate the G zone?" To answer that question you could but if you do stride after doing a break ride it will lose the power effect and any skills that maybe gained from that break ride. This is because of two things 1. Stride doesn't count as a ride so even if you did the stride over Metis it wouldn't gain power even if you have LB active. 2. The power and name gained only refers to the original power so it will only gain the 11000 (or 10000) of the grade 3. Since Legion was mentioned it would be best to also point out that if you perform Legion, you skip the stride step meaning you will not be able to stride so you have to choose whether you Legion first or stride first. A second question that was asked is "Which one should I protect when my opponent Vanguard attacks all my units? (I have a Legion vanguard)" the best way to answer this question is that when faced with an attack targeting multiple units its usually better to defend the vanguard if you don't want the damage. This is because even if you wanted to protect a rearguard desperately its really difficult to protect that unit and your vanguard at the same time since your hand wouldn't be able to handle the amount of power, for example ("Big Bang Knuckle attacks your whole field" Player 1 declared. Player 2 looked at his hand and field thinking how to defend "I perfect guard for the vanguard and use 3 Ring Girl Clara's to guard that attack for Duel Flare" Player 2 countered "Triple drive (Critical) power to the vanguard and I give critical to rearguard, second (draw) power to vanguard and I draw, third (grade 1)" Player 1 revealed 'No now I wasted my defence trying to save Duel Flare with only 1 card left in my hand' Player 2 thought.) In this situation described because player 2 tried to defend a rearguard attack from a unit like Turbo he was left with a small number of cards in his hand after the attack. No only that the attack still managed to hit the unit he/she tried to defend since the triggers power broke through the defence. Because of situations like this its best to let the attack through for the rearguards unless you really need to or trust you can block it without many issues. Plus with attacks that target the whole field a Legion Mate is safe from the attack so you wouldn't have to worry about losing Legion. Well I hope this managed to help answer your questions and with that lets all continue to live in this golden age.
