━━━bad time!

BIRDIE WATCHED AS two of her friends walked up to the goblet of fire together and cheer surrounded them, Bianca and Cedric were both planning to put their name in the goblet of fire, Lorelei and Birdie sat and watched their names get screamed with a grumpy looks on their faces, but for different reasons — Birdie was angry because Cedric and Bianca had ignored her and went ahead to put their names in the goblet anyway and Lorelei was angry because she couldn't put her name in the goblet too.

"What's up with that frown on your face?" Birdie asked leaning her head on Lorelei's shoulder as she held on to her arm, Lorelei released a sigh and then leaned her head on Birdie's head.

"I wanna be the one to go up there and put my name in the goblet too" Lorelei grumbled, "This is so unfair — a chance to die while I'm basking in glory and I can't even participate"

"Why do you want to die while basking in glory so bad?" Birdie said with furrowed eyebrows, "Bitch, I'm still here, what the fuck am I gonna do if you die?"

"You'll just have to learn to live without me, babe" El joked and Birdie gave her a glare.

"I'll just have to die before you then" Birdie shrugged and then El gave her a glare, "Oh, so when I talk about dying it's bad?"

"Don't talk about dying" Cedric said sitting down next to them with a frown on his face, "What's wrong with you?"

"Seriously?" Birdie said with an offended look on her face, "SHE" she pointed to Lorelei who was flipping off some stupid Durmstrang student with both her middle fingers, "Talks about dying all the time"

"Huh?" Lorelei said with a confused expression on her face, not being able to understand what they were talking about because she wasn't paying attention.

"Nothing, honey, go back to playing" Cedric said, rubbing her arm and El shrugged going back to playing with the cards on the table, "Look, Lore's different — she's Lore, now you" he gave her a pointed look, "If you die, there's no way we would survive"

"He's right" Lorelei said, "He would forget to feed me if you weren't here with us"

"I wouldn't forget to feed you-"

"December 13th-"

"One time!" Cedric exclaimed and Lorelei poked her tongue out at him.

"Ok, so the only thing you guys want to keep me around for is to take care of you?" Birdie asked and got no response, "Really guys? You suck balls!"

"Not just that" Bianca said sitting down next to Birdie, "You're great help with our studies too"

"Oh, wow, you guys care so much about me" Birdie said with a sarcastic tone and rolled her eyes at her friends, "Nice to know you guys aren't only around because I take care of you"

"Well—" El was about to say something when Fred and George Weasley sat down next to them on the Hufflepuff table, "EW!"

"What?" Fred frowned.

"Get that thing away from me!" Lorelei exclaimed and then everyone turned to look at her with their eyes wide.

"What thing?!" Fred said, taken aback because of her.

"The thing that looks like you with a red mop on it's head!" Lorelei exclaimed and Fred gave her an exasperated look.

"That's my brother, Lorelei" Fred said and Birdie choked on her drink, releasing a bark like laughter.

"Hey!" George said with an offended look on his face, "That wasn't even funny"

"It was, a little bit" Cedric said giving Lorelei a high five.

"Shut up, pretty boy" George said and was met with cheesecake rubbed on his face.

"Lorelei!" Birdie said, "That was my cheesecake!"

"You're not bothered by the fact my brother just got cheesecaked?" Fred asked, "Wow"

"I'm not stupid, I've got my priorities straight" Birdie frowned, "And that was the last piece"

"Thanks for that" George said as he wiped his face with the napkin, "I feel appreciated"

"You deserved that actually" Bianca said sipping on her pumpkin juice, "You don't call Cedric Diggory pretty boy and get away unscathed"

"Actually, I don't mind it that much" Cedric said and then ran his fingers through his hair, "At least someone appreciates my face"

"That wasn't—" George was about to say something.

"Nevermind him" Fred said, "We noticed you Lorelei" Lorelei looked over with her mouth full of chips, "looking like you might need this" he held up a small vial of blue potion.

"Aging potion?" Lorelei raised her eyebrows.

"No—" George paused, "Actually yes"

"It's not gonna work" Lorelei said in a bored tone, "Trust me, I'm a Ravenclaw"

"Uh huh" Fred said with an unsure voice, "Bet you haven't thought of ours though — we made it ourself, drank just one drop to grow us up a few months"

"I'm just telling you right now, it's not going to work" Lorelei said, "You can try, if you want"

"Alright, genius" George said, "Watch us then"

"Go ahead" Lorelei said with a shrug.

Fred and George gave each other one last look before both of them moved up to the Goblet Of Fire, Birdie and almost everyone around them watched them with their eyes wide with curiosity - a few girls leaned closer to the edge of their seat a smile playing on their lips as the twins passed each other a wink and shook their hands, Lorelei made a loud crunching noise of her chips packet and everyone turned to give her a look.

"What? I'm hungry" She said rolling her eyes, everyone's gaze then turned back to Fred and George, Fred took out a slip of parchment with his name written on it, and passed the age line without any problem, Lorelei's gaze wavered for just one second as a frown on her face formed, Birdie looked over at her — a smile on her face, well what do you know? It's working, she thought but right when he threw his name in the goblet — it threw him and George back.

"Damn, really thought it would work" Birdie said with a disappointed look on her face, "Anyway, what's for dinner today?"

"YOU BROUGHT THIS upon yourself, Frederick" Birdie said trying to hold in her laughter as Lee didn't bother doing so, George was on the other bed with his curtains drawn — he said he didn't want any more people to see him like that, Birdie thought it was probably because he didn't want Lorelei coming in and taking pictures of him while he has a beard on his face and waiting for Madam Pomfrey to come in and get rid of his beard.

"You can't blame a boy for trying, Robin" Fred said with a shrug, "We did mess up pretty bad" a sad smile made it's way on his face, Birdie's face fell at his expression.

"Hey, what's wrong?" Birdie said and sat down on the stool next to his bed and he passed her a sad smile, "This is clearly about something more than some stupid tournament"

"Well, we just needed the money, that's all" Fred tried to brush her off, but as he could see Birdie wasn't having it — she gave him a look with her eyebrows raised, "What? That's really all there is"

"Yeah and Lorelei doesn't sleep with a teddy bear" Birdie said with a chuckle, but then her eyes widened as George's curtains opened.

"WHAT'D YOU SAY?!" George exclaimed, almost falling out of his bed as he peaked through the curtains, Birdie mentally cursed herself out.

"NOTHING!" Birdie screamed out, her voice high pitched, curse those damn Potter genes.

"I HEARD THAT!" said George.

"NO!" Birdie said, "You heard nothing!"

"Forget him" Fred said with a chuckle at his brother's antics, "It's really nothing"

"Fred" Birdie said with a stern tone, "I've known you for almost twelve years, if we don't count the years we fell apart, I know the way you think and I know that Frederick Gideon Weasley would never take a game this seriously unless there's some importance behind it"

"Pfft, no" Fred said rolling his eyes, Birdie gave him one more look, "Ok, fine, you're right — there is a reason behind it"

"Come on, then, spit it out" Birdie said with a nudge.

"Well, you know" Fred said awkwardly, Birdie was surprised — Fred Weasley was never serious, out of the twelve years she'd been friends with him she had never seen him ever be even remotely serious — when he broke his knee he was literally the only one laughing while Birdie was sobbing behind him.

"Fred, you don't have to tell me about it" Birdie said, "If you don't want to, but if you do — I'm sitting right next to you"

"Well, you know how we've always wanted to open a shop with George?" Fred said and Birdie nodded, "We've been making products and trying them out on ourselves and it's been working out — we've got so much stuff figured out, and I think we could do it if we just got some money"

"Maybe your parents could help you out?" Birdie asked and then Fred shook his head.

"No, they couldn't — even if they wanted to" Fred said with a small smile, "Dad's been tight on money and especially with the ministry keeping him on the sidelines, I just can't ask him for money like that"

"Fred, you know I've always wanted to—" Birdie got interrupted.

"You're not going to pay for it" Fred said with a firm shake of his head.

"Look, Fred even as kid we've always had an idea of what we wanted to do" Birdie said, holding his hand as a spark went through her whole body, "El and I have been planning to open a shop, but we've got nothing to work with right now. You and George on the other hand — you've got it all figured out, you're making plans, you're making goodass potions and toys—"

"I'm not going to take your money, Robin" Fred said, his voice a bit on the edge, "I don't want your pity money"

"It's not pity money, you dumb fuck" Birdie said rolling her eyes, "If you would just listen—"

"I don't want to listen—"

"Alright, then you stubborn bitch, have it your way" Birdie said and then took her scarf and put it around his mouth, shutting him up, "I feel weird and extra doing this, but eh. Anyway, listen up and listen closely" she took a hold of his collar and pulled them together until their noses were almost touching — don't judge, she was having too much fun playing the bad cop, "You are going to let me try your products before anyone else, and I'm gonna fund you money and that way you're gonna get enough money to create your products, sell them among children and make money to get your shop. Understand?"

Fred stared at her with his eyes widened with surprise, Birdie asked again, "Understand?"

"Yes, ma'am" He said, but Birdie could barely understand what he was saying because of the scarf on his mouth, she pulled the scarf out of his mouth and then backed up slowly with an awkward smile.

"Sorry, got a bit too excited" Birdie said and then fixed her hair, "Anyway, I still meant what I said, I would love to be a tester for your products and fund them"

"Well, I guess we wouldn't mind having one person that could help us out" Fred shrugged.

"Help you? Pfft" Birdie scoffed, "I'm just here to take credit for your unimaginable success when you open the shop"

"Even if that's the cause" Fred said, "You're welcome to take whatever credit you want"

"Oh, I will" Birdie said with a wink, "Just you wait, Frederick"

"I will be waiting" Fred said and gave her a warm smile.
