Three days later.

Vinny told his parents about Scarlet when they got over their kids dying and coming back to life.

It's safe to say that they are devastated.

Kyran had passed away and his family was broken. They didn't see it coming as Scarlet didn't tell her husband what she was doing.

Even though Scarlet's body wasn't available, they were still going to arrange a joint funeral for her and Kyran as soon as the kids wake up.

Unfortunately, Orin has been missing since the war. Vinny is gutted and he really misses her. Everyone thought that maybe she was taken with the gold power because she was technically part of it.

Right now, everyone was sitting in the kids room.

Luka and Rayvon were lying in their bed, fast asleep.

They didn't know how long it would take for them to recover but surely, they should wake up soon.

"Eat your breakfast, Oliver," Vinny said. His soulmate still needed to gain back the weight he lost but it was hard for anyone to eat when their minds were full of worry.

"Okay," He smiled. He was doing everything he could to make Vinny's mind a little more relaxed.

He was still secretly very upset about Scarlet but was trying not to show it.

"I can't believe it's over," Jed said. "For about twenty thousand years, my purpose has been to protect this family from the wars and now it's all finished."

"I bet that feels good" Jenny smiled.

After the war ended, Zachariah went to get his soulmate and give her a big kiss. She was so relieved that he was okay.

"It does" Jed smiled.

The angels asked if he and Zachariah would like to return to heaven but they both declined.

Their lives are on earth now.

The elder angels respected their decision and will let them focus on living their own lives.

John had his angel all to himself. He didn't need to spend all his time worrying about the war and listening to the angel's whispers. Jed and Zachariah are free to be part of this wonderful family.

Just then, there was a quiet little groan from Luka as he started to wake up.

Everyone quickly looked in that direction. They've been sleeping for days and the whole family has waited patiently.

Thankfully, the relatives who helped with the war were all unharmed but a lot of the contributors were injured and Panuleon spent a full day healing everyone.

Luka was exhausted. His eyes were heavy and his limbs were a little sore. But the first thing he did was check how close he was to Rayvon.

So without opening his eyes, he moved his hands very slowly until he found his soulmate's warm body.

This gave him enough energy to haul himself extremely close.

Everyone watched him bury his head into Rayvon's muscular chest. Luka had to smell his scent.

His heart calmed down. He knew his soulmate was starting to wake up too.

Rayvon felt just as groggy as Luka.

That was only normal, they can't help it.

Their parents watched as the half-vampire very slowly put an arm around his soulmate. He just had to feel that he was close.

"Are you okay?" He thought.

Luka nodded against his chest but this still confused Vinny and Oliver. Especially when they answered to each other's thoughts out loud.

"Do you remember what happened?" Luka asked and even in Rayvon's head, his voice was tired.

"Yeah, we died and went to heaven. Then the elder angel gave us both a wish and-"

He stopped and they both suddenly thought about what they wished for.

This forced them to open their eyes.

They wanted to see if Scarlet was here and also, Corey's parents.

"Boys, how're you feeling?" Panuleon asked when they blinked and looked around.

"They're not here," Rayvon thought.

"The elder angel said that our wishes would come true when we wake up."

They both looked at one another, realising that it could now happen at any time.

"Boys?" Panuleon said again.

"Oh, we're okay," Rayvon said and stretched but curled his arms around Luka and squeezed him in the process. "Is everyone else okay?"

"Everyone's fine" Oliver smiled. He was just so happy that the kids were safe and finally awake. "While you were asleep, we managed to clean up the mansion and the garden. Everything is back to normal."

But the boy's wish was about to make Oliver eat his words as the door slowly started to open behind him.

Everyone turned to see who it was.

The whole family was in this room and there were no workers in today.

Duke wanted them all to have at least a week off after what they went through. Even then, he didn't expect anyone to come back to work.

He wouldn't if that happened to him.

Vinny then almost fell off his seat when a woman entered with a very overwhelmed expression.

It was Scarlet.

Duke and Madison stood up immediately and gawked at her.

"Y-You... You died" Oliver stuttered. "I saw it."

Her presence swallowed the room. Everyone felt like their eyes had popped out of their heads.

Vinny had no words but his jaw was hitting the ground. He was so shocked.

"Before you all freak out just let me explain," She said. She remembers being accepted into heaven and she remembers an angel telling her what Rayvon had done.

He gave her a second chance.

Vinny didn't have the patience to listen to her and instead, he did something he never thought he would do.

Everyone watched as he got up and pulled her into a really tight hug.

Scarlet was more shocked than anyone but she quickly hugged back. She might not get this opportunity again.

Vinny thought about her none stop. He kept thinking about how she could've been a good person and how she never really got the opportunity to turn herself around.

But now she did.

He pulled back and looked into dark brown eyes.

He never thought he would feel good about looking at her. But she was here and he knows she will never return into that sinister person she once was.

Who would throw away a second chance? Not him and definitely not her.

"Are you stupid?" He then said. "You killed yourself for me."

Scarlet realised that she would've flooded him with guilt after her selfless act.

"And I would do it again if it meant saving your life."

Duke and Madison then stepped forwards so they could hug their daughter. This was something they haven't done in a very long time but now, it felt right.

"How did you get back?" Madison asked.

They all knew that she would be the last person to receive a second chance.

When Luka and Rayvon were in heaven, the angels gave them a wish each as a thank you for saving them" She said into her dad's shoulder. "So Rayvon wished for me to get my life back."

Oliver and Vinny turned to look at their son with a very heartwarming expression.

Vinny especially looked incredibly proud of him.

"You got a wish and you wasted it on her?" He asked sarcastically. Everyone knew he was joking.

"I'm right here," Scarlet said but they shared an amused glance.

It was weird for them to be getting on. They haven't acted like this since they were little kids.

"But, I wished for Kyran to get his life back too," Rayvon said.

Scarlet lifted her head. She hadn't even thought about his family after she died.

"Oh my gosh, I have to go and see him!"

"Go, apologise to him and his family while we cancel your funeral," Duke said but that just felt so wrong coming out of his mouth.

It hurt Scarlet to think about the pain she put them through but they'd be an even bigger mess if Vinny and Oliver died.

"Okay, I'll be back soon," She said and quickly walked out of the room.

Nobody thought they would like knowing that Scarlet would be back, but they enjoyed the company of this new person.

Luka and Rayvon were wondering when Luka's wish would come true.

They didn't know how Corey would react. His parents have been dead for twenty thousand years.

Vinny and Oliver walked around the side of the bed so they could hug their son.

"We're so happy you're okay" Oliver smiled.

"Thank you for making that wish Rayvon, it was so thoughtful," Vinny said and rubbed his back.

"I knew she could change and I wanted to give her the opportunity to prove it to us," The half vampire said and tiredly hugged his parents.

Madison and Duke didn't have that horrible aching in their hearts anymore, they could actually breathe without the sorrow of losing a daughter hitting them in their chests.

"If you both got a wish, what did you wish for Luka?" Corey asked. He didn't know wishes were an actual thing but in heaven, anything is possible.

"Um," He hummed quietly. He wasn't sure if he should tell him or let it be a surprise.

But just as he was about to speak, the door opened again.

When it creaked, everyone turned to see who else would be entering.

Vinny and Oliver saw two people who they didn't recognise. It was a woman and a man and they looked like they were in their sixties.

They looked very confused as they stepped into the room, exposing themselves to everyone.

But when Corey looked up, every inch of his body froze. He gasped and stared with incredibly wide eyes.

Panuleon had the same expression, so did Zachariah and Jenny who also recognised the strangers.

Corey couldn't breathe. He couldn't think and he couldn't believe who he was seeing.

When the two people took their gaze around the room, they stopped when they saw him and the Angel.

That's when they gasped with shock too.

But Corey was far too overwhelmed by this situation and felt his knees begin to buckle underneath him.

His vision faded as Panuleon turned and caught him.

He fainted.

Everyone got up with worry and concern.

"Panuleon, what's going on?" Duke asked. He was very wary of the strangers. They've learned not to trust anyone.

The Angel lowered his soulmate to the floor and tapped lightly on his cheek but he was out cold.

He looked up to Duke and it was hard for him to calm his mind.

"These- these two people here," He said but took a second to get some air into his lungs. "they're Corey's parents."
