Jed rushed over to the angel as Orin jumped out of his arms and over to Vinny.

The vampire picked her up and she immediately started purring. But everyone was too focused on Zachariah.

What happened to his wing?

Corey was too weak to even stand up so Panuleon carried him over to the injured angel.

"Zachariah, where's your wing?" Jed asked.

He was in so much pain but he had to remain strong.

"I-It's at the mansion" He breathed.

"If I heal you now, I can't re-attach your wing if we find it later on," Panuleon said. "But, how did you get here?"

"With great difficulty" Zachariah doubled over in pain. Losing a wing was like losing an arm or a leg.

Panuleon put Corey down and knelt by him.

"Where's Jenny? Is she safe?"

"Yes," Zachariah said and scrunched his eyes shut. "She's thousands of miles away."

Jed looked at Duke and Madison.

They knew he wanted to go back to the mansion to retrieve his wing but they didn't want him to go alone.

"Can we just get this over and done with?" Rayvon asked, making everyone look at him.

He and Luka have been discussing it in their heads and if they go back to the mansion, find their power, kill every demon before they ruin the fabric between the two worlds, then the war will be over.

It's just safety that everyone cares about more.

"Can we go to the mansion together. Luka and I will do what we were born to do which is win this war."

Vinny sat on his knees and stared at his son. He has always been very level headed, independent and makes the right choices.

He was scared to admit that this might be one.

"It's much more dangerous than-"

"Dad" Rayvon interrupted Oliver. "You knew this was coming. We know it's dangerous which is why we trained so hard to be able to fight back. This is our war and we can't just run away."

Luka was by all means petrified but he agreed with Rayvon.

They need to take the responsibility into their own hands.

Corey and Panuleon shared a glance. Their son was eighteen, not a child. He was able to make his own decisions but this felt too big.

Vinny chewed the inside of his lip. He needed to let his son do this. If he felt that it was right then he'll support him no matter what.

"If you're going to fight, we'll be right there beside you. You two were born for this reason and if you think now is the time to start, then I'm not stopping you."

Duke and Madison were shocked to hear this.

"Vinny, you're sending your son into a war zone!?" Madison asked. They couldn't go anywhere near the mansion, it's far too dangerous.

"He wants to go. He's right, they can't keep running. We can't put this world through an attack like this when these two are the one's who can stop it. I don't want to let him anywhere near the demons, of course I don't. But it's not my decision."

"I agree," Corey said. "There's no point waiting around for something to happen. I think with the power that they share will create something special."

"I was sent to this earth to assist and protect. If you want to fight, I'll be with you every step okay?" Jed said while John rubbed his back.

The boys nodded. They knew they'd have mixed reactions about this but it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks, as long as they both agree that it's the right thing to do.

When Zachariah gasped and clenched his jaw, the decision was made.

Scarlet was being silent. She had no right to throw around her opinions but she agreed with Vinny.

The war is ready for a fight.

"Do you remember all your training?" Panuleon asked Luka while helping him to fit a bullet proof vest on underneath his jumper.

The half angel nodded while Oliver helped Rayvon with his.

If they were all going to fight, the least they could do is wear some protection.

"Are you sure you want to be part of this?" Vinny asked his parents who were ready and eagerly waiting.

"Of course son," Madison said. But she was scared. "You need all the help you can get. Also, we are fighting for our city and our family."

Vinny shared a glance between them. Nobody knew who would get hurt but they were preparing themselves to witness a loss. This war is deadly, dangerous and most certainly life threatening.

"I love you both," He said but didn't give them a chance to reply before walking over to Oliver.

They watched him with smiles.

"He was being affectionate" Duke chuckled. But deep down, he prayed that it wasn't the last time he would hear those words from his son.

John was talking to Oliver. They were psyching each other up by talking a lot and asking each other stupid amounts of questions.

Jed couldn't keep up as he attempted to fit a bulletproof vest to his Vampire.

Zachariah was sitting and waiting. He was really sore but trying to stay positive. He wanted his wing back but he had to help Jed protect the kids.

That was his main priority.

The secret service had been informed that they were preparing to fight and as soon as they leave the safe house, they'll follow and join in.

So far, the war was equal on both sides. There were just as many vampires and humans against the demons.

Nobody was fighting yet but they couldn't wait to unleash the violence.

The vampires were ready to kill.

Rayvon then turned and engulfed his little soulmate into a hug.

Luka smiled and let his body melt into his warm one.

Rayvon picked him up, making the half angel wrap his legs around his waist and his arms around his broad shoulders.

They hugged tightly.

"Are you ready?"

Luka nodded against the side of his face.

"Are you?"

"I am."

Everyone then took a moment of peace. They let themselves relax and build up the psych to win this war.

They had planned to go in couples.

Jed would take Vinny and Oliver while Panuleon would take Corey and Scarlet. They would stay at the mansion while Jed came back to pick up Madison and Duke. He would then come back again to get John and Zachariah.

His last trip would be to get the kids.

They had it figured out but they didn't know what would be waiting for them on the other side.

"Are we all ready to go?" Panuleon questioned.

He wanted to let his son and Rayvon have their moment with each other. They needed to really connect before they began to fight.

Rayvon needed to bring up his power too so he would soon start to concentrate on that.

"It's okay Zachariah" Jed soothed. "We'll get your wing back and you'll be healed in no time."

The injured angel let out a weak smile and nodded. He hoped he was right.

Corey had gotten most of his strengths back as he clung onto Panuleon.

Scarlet came over.

It felt awkward but they needed to get it over and done with.

"I hope you're true to your word" Panuleon said. "If you really want to be part of this family again, you'll stick to the right side."

He was nervous that she'd turn on them but Scarlet nodded and held onto him.

After Oliver hugged his dad, he and Vinny went over to Jed and held on.

They were mentally ready to kick some demon ass.

Rayvon watched while his parents and Luka's parents disappeared.

This is it.

The war had officially started.

When it was Just Luka and Rayvon left, they were still hugging and hoping that everything was going well for their family who is already fighting.

Jed said that they took the demons by surprise which is a good thing.

"I think I can feel the power," Rayvon said as he gazed into Luka's magical eyes.

"Me too."

They were sharing this embrace because their destiny has arrived.

This is why they were born, this is why they are soulmates.

They were brought into this world and given such a strong connected for this exact moment. They were not prepared to let the angels down.

They had to do what it takes.

They would stop at nothing to win this war and even Luka felt ready to fight.

He couldn't be scared, not today.

He had to be brave.

When Jed flashed back into the room, he had left John and Zachariah to go and find his wings.

Now he was making his last trip to the mansion.

"We have to be quick, the fighting is getting really harsh," He said while Luka and Rayvon untangled themselves from each other and held onto the angel. "Are you both ready?"

They nodded before connecting their gaze.

Their expression was calm and helping one another to remain that way.

But just before they set off, a cute little meow came from the corner of the room.

The boys looked over, just as Orin ran and jumped into Luka's arms. He flinched and froze while Rayvon quickly took her.

Vinny would've had a moment where he could see them.

He hoped that didn't affect his fight.

"I'll hold her" The half vampire smiled before wedging Orin between him and the angel.

"Having her with you will help your parents know where you are and if you're safe" Jed said. He was glad that everyone was staying in couples. "Right, we really must go."

Luka held on again, took a breath and re-prepared himself.

It was strange going head first into a fight.

But they had to win. Losing wasn't an option.
