Chapter 46
"I can't wait to have a bed like this" Rayvon said.
He was sitting on the side, next to Luka who had the duvet pulled up to his chin. They were in Vinny and Oliver's room, taking them up on their offer of sharing the bed.
Oliver climbed in at the other side, it was now half ten and they were getting a bit tired.
"You'll feel like you have all the room in the world" He chuckled while Vinny climbed over him, making sure he squished him completely before lying down.
He would just sit in bed until Oliver fell asleep, Rayvon did the same with Luka.
Rayvon climbed on the bed so he was next to Vinny.
The bed was big and there was more than enough room for them both.
He moved under the covers and laid as close as he could get to Luka. It was nice to lie next to him for once.
"You look so tired" He chuckled as his half angel revealed a cute little yawn.
"I am," He said quietly and rubbed his eyes.
Vinny was trying not to watch them but he secretly still finds it very exciting that they are soulmates. He just doesn't show it.
Oliver was watching with a somewhat goofy grin. He was like an excited child who was having their very first sleepover.
Vinny nudged him lightly, making him realise he was obviously staring.
Oliver diverted his attention elsewhere and sunk down under the duvet. He pulled it up to his chin, trying to keep in the warmth.
Vinny sat there for a few seconds, weighing up his options.
He could read a book until Oliver went to sleep or he could hug his soulmate and stay exceptionally close until he went to sleep.
He didn't even bother grabbing his book before getting under the covers and getting as close to Oliver as he could manage.
Oliver felt all warm and fuzzy inside while he turned and buried himself into him.
Rayvon let his gaze wander around the room. He remembered when he used to jump on his parent's bed really early in the morning when he was little.
Now that he thinks about it, he felt a little bad for Oliver because he'd wake him up at around five in the morning almost every day.
But Oliver didn't mind, it was all part of being a father.
Luka was settling down, he didn't mind sleeping in here. Oliver and Vinny are like his second parents. As a family, they're all so close.
Just then, Rayvon turned and wrapped his arms around his parents.
Vinny's eyes stared in front of him. He could feel his son's arms around him and he could feel him cuddling into his back.
Oliver frowned and opened his eyes to see Rayvon's face right in front of his.
"Awh, he like's to cuddle with his parents" He chuckled.
Rayvon grinned but hugged a little tighter.
"Luka, you're not joining in."
"Yeah Luka, you're missing out" Oliver smiled.
The half angel chuckled but sat up and climbed over Rayvon.
He sprawled over Vinny and Oliver, making Oliver move back. He settled comfortably in between them.
The human grinned and squished little Luka against Vinny as he moved back in for a hug.
The vampire was slightly amused but this was a lot of close contacts and he wasn't one for hugs.
But these are the miracle kids, the one's who he, Oliver Panuleon and Corey have raised basically together.
Vinny saw that Luka was smiling to himself and he didn't want to break him from the happiness he was caught up in.
"This is quite comfortable," Rayvon said but he loved the comfort of his parents. They do mean the world to him.
Just then, there was a knock on the door.
"Come in," Oliver said without moving.
The door opened and Panuleon and Corey walked in.
"We Just wanted to say goodnight to-" Corey stopped when he saw them all hugging.
The angel and the human stared as everyone stared back.
They then looked at each other as a big smile appeared.
Suddenly, they both jogged forwards and jumped onto the bed.
Everyone chuckled as they landed on top of everyone, sharing the hug.
Vinny grumbled a little bit but he didn't do anything about it.
When they shared big group hugs, it made them realise just how lucky they are to have a family like this.

"Are you okay Jed?" John asked his Angel.
It was half five in the morning and everyone was still asleep.
They were sitting on the floor, in front of Vinny and Oliver's room.
But the Angel seemed quite distant.
"I don't know."
His reply made John frown. Jed is never not okay.
"What's going on?"
"I'm trying to listen to the Angels whispers but they're confusing and are not making sense. I don't know what's going on."
"Has this ever happened before?"
"Yes, when the last war started."

When Vinny woke up, Rayvon was curled up against him on one side and Luka was curled up against him on the other.
Their arms were spread over his chest and they were holding hands because they had to be touching.
Vinny looked down and Oliver was doing his own thing.
He was sprawled out at the bottom of the bed and hugging his leg.
Vinny silently rolled his eyes.
Why is it that he's the most unapproachable person in the world, yet there are three people who are hugging him for comfort.
He didn't understand how they put up with him, but they do and that's all that matters.
He then proceeded to stare at the top of the poster bed. He couldn't move.
Well, he could, he just didn't want to wake anyone up.

"Yes, I can feel it too," Panuleon said.
It was now half ten and everyone was sitting around the grand dining table.
Jed was sitting next to John and asking Panuleon how he felt.
"I feel like I can sense something, but it keeps leaving as quickly as it comes."
"Like a sneeze," Oliver said, making Vinny almost spit out his coffee.
"I don't know what that feels like," The Angel said, taking the situation seriously. "But I understand what you mean."
Vinny managed to keep his cool and swallow his drink. He loves it when his soulmate comes out with things like that.
He is so random.
"I feel that way too, and the Angels when they talk, they're not making any sense."
"I know, there's too many speaking at once and the conversations change too fast."
Sometimes, Madison and Duke can't believe that they're casually having breakfast with angels in the room.
Panuleon and Jed are incredibly powerful. They have the authority over vampires any day but they continue to act like they're all equal.
Rayvon and Luka were listening to them, they feared that the war was beginning to start and that's why the angels are panicking in heaven.
But nothing major has happened yet.
"Take nice and calm breaths," Rayvon thought to his soulmate.
Luka nodded and did what he said. He didn't like thinking about the war, he would rather pretend like it was just a dream and it wasn't really going to happen.
The half vampire watched his soulmate. He could see the worry in his eyes and didn't want to ever think about him experiencing anything but happiness and love.
That's the opposite of what this war will bring and they both knew they would suffer.
Rayvon pulled him off his chair and onto his lap.
He was just so small and so light, he loved having him so close.
Luka leaned his back against Rayvon's chest and sank into him. He took his hands and played with them while everyone listened to the angels.
"I've tried asking what's happening but they keep ignoring my request, they have ever since I left heaven," Panuleon said.
"They can't hear mine, it's too chaotic," Jed said with a sigh. "Maybe I should go up and talk face to face with someone."
"That's not wise Jed" Panuleon warned and sat forwards. "You have a vampire soulmate, a lot of angels won't give you the time of day."
John was chewing on the inside of his lip. He knew now that the war was on their heels, his angel would be in a huge amount of danger because Jed would fight and do all that he could to protect the kids.
He didn't like that his soulmate had those commitments but he does and he somehow had to deal with it.
"What else can we do? They're not listening" Jed said. "They must know something, wouldn't you think that we should be the first one's to be informed?"
"Yes of course, but heaven isn't right. I feel like it's not coping well due to the war. The angels worry too much" Panuleon said and crossed his arms.
It's clear that these two angels half-live a different life.
They were born in heaven and raised in heaven. Their minds are still attached to the angel's and their bodies can still sense the big white world in the sky.
Luka could feel the warmth of his soulmate and he really cherished it, but he was feeling a little cold.
He looked over to the couch and his hoody was still there from yesterday. The heaters are now back on but it is the middle of winter and the cold can still creep in sometimes.
He climbed off his soulmate's knee to retrieve it.
Just then, there was a knock on the dining-room door.
Luka jumped, not expecting it but he went over to see if it was one of the workers.
Everyone watched as someone asked for some assistance.
Vinny sighed and got up when he heard about the kitchen stock and knew someone had probably got the orders wrong.
He walked over to the door, getting ready to sort it out.
He stood behind Luka and saw that there were three men, standing outside the room.
"What's happened?" He asked bluntly.
The three workers looked at each other but the way they were showing no emotion scared Luka a little bit.
He didn't know why but he just had a bad feeling.
Just then,
Zachariah landed in the dining-room.
Everyone looked at him but his face showed instant panic.
"Have you heard?" He asked desperately while quickly walking over to the table.
Jed stood up and rested a calm hand on his shoulder.
"What's wrong?"
"It's the war, it started."
a silent but stale emotion stabbed everyone right in the chest. It felt like the room turned black and white and dread collided with their hearts.
Rayvon's ears were ringing. He felt like the world had stopped spinning and his future had disappeared.
Vinny looked down to Luka who had backed into him out of fear. He didn't want to hear those words, not ever.
Suddenly,
the three workers took them by surprise.
They quickly lunged forwards and tried grabbing Luka but Vinny was fast and instantly picked him up.
Nobody else had time to react as they decided to go for Vinny instead.
The vampire gasped when all three took a tight grip on him and somehow, they were very strong.
Zachariah's mind re-started as he started running towards them but the men were one step ahead and somehow vanished.
Zachariah skidded on the floor as he stopped with wide eyes.
Everyone stood up in an instant panic. Vinny and Luka had been taken.
But how and by who?
"My soulmate" Rayvon whispered and clutched his chest.
"Did you see?" Zachariah asked as Panuleon and Corey vanished, wanting to chase them.
Jed got up and ran to the angel.
"Come on, we need to follow."
"Jeduthun," Zachariah said and gripped his shoulders. "Their eyes were black."
