Jed continued to shelter his eyes as the boys gasped.

Things were happening so fast, a blur of light, a surge of emotions, the beat of someone else's heart sharing their own.

Their souls were beginning to merge together and form as one.

The gold was connecting every thought they've ever had, every emotion they've ever felt and every bit of affection, passion and desire they'll ever feel towards one another.

When it sets, their souls will be merged so close together, they'll officially be described as one. They'll feel so much love for each other, it might not be possible to fit it all into one person's heart.

Rayvon scrunched his eyes shut but all he could see, think, smell and hear was Luka. That boy was invading his mind and embedding onto his brain.

Another burst flooded the room as they began to want each other.

They could barely move out of confusion and fear of the unknown. They didn't know what was happening, they didn't know that they were in the process of developing the strongest bond in the world.

Luka gripped his chest as his back was pushed up against the wall. It looked like a storm had made its way into the bedroom. There was a strong wind of swirling gold that knocked everything off the shelves and onto the floor.

The souls were almost merged as the gold forced it's way through their veins. Their minds could only focus on each other. Their heads were alive with the presence of the love that was quickly rising.

The wind was getting stronger, the light was getting bright and the emotions was becoming extremely vibrant.

The boys were forced to shut their eyes, they could barely see each other and it was hurting already.

And then, with one final burst, their souls merged, creating one.

But as quickly as this happened, the light disappeared. The boys were no longer held against the wall and they both fell forwards, landing on their chests.

Jed waited a few seconds, how did it vanish that fast?

Slowly, he lifted his hands from his head and looked at the chaos around him. None of that matter while his eyes swapped from one boy to the other.

They were staring at each other, eyes wide and mouths open. They couldn't decide if this was a dream or not.

How could this happen? How could they have so much love for each other?

"Ow!" Rayvon whimpered before curling up into a ball, his chest was beginning to hurt again. That pulling sensation felt so horrible.

Luka did the same. They knew they had to get to each other but they were in too much pain.

Jed watched, understanding what needed to be done.

He got up and walked over to Luka. He picked him up because he was the lightest and walked over to Rayvon.

As soon as he was close enough the boys reached for each other.

It all seemed to go in slow motion.

Their hands reached out and their fingers were so close.

They edged closer, knowing what they needed.

As they touched each other, warmth, love and affection surged into their hearts, making them crave each other even more.

Rayvon instantly wrapped himself around his friend, pulling him to the ground.

Luka buried himself into him, wanting nothing more than his comfort.

But why?

Why do they suddenly feel this way?

Jed watched with a gentle smile as they gripped onto each other. He had no idea that they would connect the bond early and he was so eager to learn all about it.

Rayvon closed his eyes and planted his head into Luka's hair. Never in his life would he think he was going to crave the soft feel of it.

Their bodies were almost shaking at the relief of being close.

Reality hadn't hit them yet, they were just enjoying not feeling that awful pulling sensation in their chests.

A few moments went past before Rayvon's eyes suddenly opened.

Jed watched them grow wide and he knew he had a lot of explaining to do.

"Um... what just happened?" He asked as Luka opened his eyes too.

"Right, don't freak out I have an explanation for it," The angel said quickly.

The boys sat up but they couldn't bring themselves to separate. Yes, their cheeks were burning red as they made eye contact, but they needed to hear Jed first.

"Well, how do you feel?" He asked.

Luka looked up to his friend, now seeing so much more.

He suddenly loved his big green eyes. He loved the little dimple that formed on his left cheek when he smiled, just like Oliver's. His smile was breath-taking and his features caused him to stare much longer than what he intended.

Rayvon couldn't get over Luka's eyes. He liked them before but now, nobody else's eyes will ever come close to how beautiful these are. Now, he doesn't just think Luka is cute, he think's he is absolutely adorable. And the way he pulls his sleeves over his hands and often wears hoodies that are too big will make his heart cripple with love, every single time.

He wanted to hug him, hold him and touch him forever.

He never wanted to let go.

But these sudden realisations were scary and unfamiliar.

Jed decided that they had been staring at each other for too long and probably forgot his question, so he just decided to tell them.

"You're soulmates."

The boy's heads snapped in his direction, their eyes went wide immediately.

"W-What?" Rayvon questioned.

Jed chuckled and crossed his legs.

"What happened then, that was your bond connecting."

"Our... bond?"

Jed watched the confusion on their faces and decided that they should know everything.

"Did you ever wonder why you were conceived by two males?"

They nodded. Luka had started to feel overwhelmed which Rayvon swore that he could feel too.

"Well... you were born so you could inherit your parent's powers from their bonds and form an even stronger one."

"And... that's what we have just done now?" Luka asked quietly. It was so hard for him to concentrate on Jed, especially when he could feel the warmth of Rayvon touching his arm.

"Yes," Jed smiled, not wanting to give them too much information all at once.

"But why?" Rayvon asked. "I don't understand."

"I know you both must be struggling to cope, this has just happened and we should've told you sooner-"

"You knew?" He interrupted.

"Yes, we all did. You see, when your parents were pregnant with you, they needed explanations as to why they were carrying children and it was so you two could form the world's strongest bond."

he was trying to avoid the demon war, their minds didn't need to worry about that for now.

"Why didn't you tell us sooner!?"

"We didn't think it would happen until you were eighteen," Jed said quickly. "But the early connection has proved just how strong the bond actually is."

Luka and Rayvon looked at each other. Their minds were still processing it all.

"What does this mean?" Luka asked. "Why do I feel this way?"

The poor boy couldn't cope with so much change all at one time, He was starting to stress about it.

"It means, you're in love with each other" Jed said, trying to settle his worried mind. "You now share your souls and will be with each other for the rest of your lives. It's okay to be confused, this has only just happened. Take your time, there's no rush to get used to it. Figure it out at your own pace."

The angels words were soothing and the boys agreed that they can't change anything but that doesn't mean they should overthink it.

Jed's right, there is no rush.

Rayvon ran a hand through his hair, still not quite believing it happened.

"This is crazy" He breathed while trying to hold back his blush when Luka looked at him.

The boy suddenly widened his eyes and his heart almost jumped out of his mouth.

"Rayvon" He whispered. "I can hear you but you're not saying anything."

The half vampire frowned at him, but he could then hear it too.

Luka's voice, echoing in the back of his mind.

"Ah, this must be like Corey and Panuleon. Don't panic, it will probably be each other's thoughts that you can hear."

Rayvon's frown deepened as he looked at Jed.

"Don't panic? Are you kidding?!"

As the boys stared at each other once more, the angel stood up.

"I think I should inform your parents."

"No!" They said in sync. "Don't do that."

They glanced at each other but shrugged it off.

"Why not? They've been waiting for this for years. They need to know that something this big has happened."

"No they don't," Rayvon said while standing up and subconsciously pulling Luka up too. "I need to get used to this before they have a fit and never leave us alone."

It's true that Oliver and Corey will get immensely excited about this. Vinny will probably stare but deep down, his mind will be ecstatic. Panuleon will just observe them like he does to everyone anyway.

"It's not my place to say if you don't want me to," Jed said. "So I'll leave it up to you both to decide when it's right for your parents to know."

It troubled the angel to say that, he wanted to tell Vinny and Oliver right away, but the boys didn't want him to and he respected their wishes.

"Thank you, Jed," Luka said quietly. He was also not ready.

"You're welcome," He said and ruffled their hair. Rayvon pulled away but Luka simply smiled, making the boy gawp at his face.

"Stop doing that, I like it too much," He said and turned him away.

Luka's heart fluttered at Rayvon's warm hand, touching his shoulder.

"Well stop touching me, I like that too much."

They both then gazed into each other's eyes, now feeling overwhelmed with so much love. This may take a while to sink in.

Jed watched as they suddenly engulfed one another into a tight embrace.

"I'm sorry, I couldn't stop it," Rayvon said. He felt so complete with Luka so close.

"Rayvon" Luka muffled quietly into his shoulder. "I know this feels so weird and I'm actually very confused about how I feel right now, but I just need to be close. So it's okay."

He was trying to say that he didn't mind hugging and he didn't need to apologise.

"This is weird" Was all Rayvon managed to mumble out.

He was stood in his best friends room who now happened to be his soulmate and they have just formed the world's strongest bond.

It's safe to say that it hasn't sunken in yet.

They were both trying to deal with it because their parents were waiting for them in the gym.

They'll really talk about it later, but for now... it just has to be accepted.

Although they were both incredibly star struck that such things could happen the way it did.

Why did so much power need to be revealed just so their souls could be united?

They didn't know how special their bond was. They didn't know their limits, their love, and their connection.

But they will soon find out when they try and hide something this big from their parents.
