11.The Kissing Booth
Song:☆ A sky full of stars- Coldplay☆
His words captured my heart but all I imagined was Archer saying them. Unable to stop myself, I moved my head close to his and put my lips on his. It was such a perfect moment that needed to be sealed with a kiss. As soon as my lips touched his, I welcomed a blissful sensation. At the back of my head, I knew that this was not what I wanted while another voice reminded me that there was a time when I had a massive secret crush on Blake despite the trouble he caused. Now was time for me to act on it.
Without realising, our cart had already started to descend, we were passionately kissing each other. As our cart stopped moving, the game in charge spoke up.
"You both, get out of the cart! Other people also have to ride it."
We both got out and Blake did not let go of my hand.
"You want to go and get something to eat?"
"Yeah, sure." I just ate, but well, how can I refuse to eat? I mean, food is life.
We headed towards a pizza place. As soon as we entered I spotted Dylan,Luke and Archer.
"Uh...Lets go somewhere else! This place is too crowded." It was actually crowded and the only table left was right next to Archer's.
"We have a table there and I know you don't love anything more than a pepperoni and cheese pizza. Besides, this is the only pizza place here." Blake replied.
Archer was looking in our direction and I thought it was best to act as if his presence did not affect me at all.
"Yeah, that's okay."
"So, what happened to your soccer team? Are you the captain?"
"Oh no. Our school cut off our girls team."
"Too bad, you are an awesome player. I remember that we both were the ones who used to challenge each other all the time. Your brother sucked in sports. Anyway, how is all his music stuff going on?" my eyes shifted to the next booth to see Archer sitting across, looking at us and eavesdropping.
Oh god, Archer just heard all the things he said. Make something up Thompson!
"Actually, Jacob is now both into sports and music. He is an absolutely amazing soccer player."
I heard a scoff come from the next table. Blake and I looked up to see Archer laughing while looking at us.
"Why are you laughing?" Blake asked, his voice full of hostility.
"Well, it's just what Olivia said cracks me up. Why don't you both join us on this table? Dylan, scoot over."
"No, we are good. And we don't even know you guys." I said in a hurry.
"Oh come on, your brother is our friend. He talks a lot about you, Olivia. It's time we get to know you." He teased with heavy sarcasm pouring in his voice.
Without arguing further, we headed to their table.
We both sat next to Dylan. Sadly, I was being squished between both of them.
"Wow, you and Jacob look so similar." Luke observed.
"Yeah. We are identical twins."
"So earlier, I laughed because what Olivia said was just hilarious. Jacob is a really weak player, honestly." Archer said.
"No, he is not!" I retreated back a little too loudly.
"Yes, he is. And its not like we are insulting you Olivia. Or is it?"
"...No... But he is my brother! I should support him."
"That's right, but your brother should just leave and go back to his band. Anyway, where is he right now? He said he would meet us here."
"Wait. Isn't Jacob in New York?" Asked Blake. Oops.
"Yeah, he is. He left today morning. He has a gig there. Sorry guys, but he must have forgotten to inform you."
Oh no, earlier when Archer had asked I told him he must be around somewhere. Does he still remember that I told him that?
Archer gave me a suspicious look but the next 15 minutes passed in meaningless conversation. At some point of time, I saw Blake and Archer glaring at each other. What's going on here? Guys are weird. I seriously need some female company around me.
Out of nowhere, Dylan spoke up,"Hey guys there is a kissing booth this year. We should totally go there."
"Oh crap! I have my shift there in 5 minutes! I got to go, guys."
"We all will come with you." Dylan said with a mischievous glint in his eyes.
As soon as we all got up, Blake held my hand in his. At the contact, my eyes instantly shot up to Archer's who was busy having an eye battle with Blake and was fuming with anger while Blake just smirked. What the hell is going on here?!
We soon reached the booth and after seeing the line, I nearly fainted. There was only one volunteer there who looked like she was soon going to puke. She was being kissed by a guy for longer than necessary on the booth.
"Kiss me one more time before your mouth gets infected." Blake jokingly said while he held my head in his hands and brought my face closer to his. I wanted to retreat back and not kiss him, but he himself made it easier by just giving me small pecks on my forehead and on my cheeks.
Feeling Archer's eyes burn holes on the back of my head, I moved back and decided to head towards the booth.
"Okay, I will now go and save that poor girl over there."
I went behind the counter and tapped the other girl on her shoulder to capture her attention.
"Oh thank God you are here! I was getting tired. By the way, I am Kylie."
An hour passed and this was one of my worst day ever. These boys were forcing their tongues down my throat. Seriously, don't they know that only pecks are allowed on this Booth? Most of them were 15 year olds who had braces. I pushed back another fellow who was trying to shove his tongue into my mouth. I need to get my mouth properly treated after this. My mom is just plain weird. I mean, a kissing booth is the only social service she could think of?!
But this was not just the worst part. When I saw Archer in the line, I completely freaked out. I mean, come on, the only people who usually visit kissing booths are those who are not kissed that often but Archer?
"Hi Olivia."
"Hey Archer."
He put the money in the bowl on the counter.
"Kiss me, Olivia."
I gasped. This was something that I only imagined in my wildest dreams. Was this even real?
He took my head in his hands and placed his lips on mine. I am kissing too many people today, it's messing with my head.
His lips were soft and tasted like honey. Perfect, absolutely perfect. I shut my eyes close and put my hands in his hair. A supposed peck with Archer turned into something more.
Without realising, we both were passionately making out until someone cleared their throat.
"Dude, there is a long line. Hurry up! We have been waiting here and also want to kiss that hot chick." Some idiot yelled.
"No passionate kisses are allowed, you idiot. Only pecks on this booth. That special kiss was only for him." A smarter idiot yelled and glared at Archer.
Archer moved back and smirked at all the other guys.
"Only for me." He turned around and winked at me. My jaw dropped and he left the crowd. Huh, he is so full of himself.
Luckily for me, my shift soon ended.
I went to the washroom and cleaned my mouth for a million times. As soon as I returned, I spotted a candy floss vendor.
Excitedly, I went to get some candy floss. I have the biggest weakness for this amazing pink candy that melts in your mouth.
"Let me buy it for you." Archer said, suddenly appearing behind me.
I smiled up at him and was just about to say that I could pay for myself when suddenly Blake also materialized out of thin air. Just kidding, but both of these guys are sort of creepy.
"I will pay for you, Oli."
"No, Blake, I will." Archer said .
"No, Archer, I can pay for her."
"I said I am going to pay for her. Why don't you get it?" His voice raised.
"Okay, both of you just stop! I can pay for mys-"
But before I could finish Blake had already thrown a punch at Archer's face and it soon turned into a tremendous fight with Archer sitting on top of Blake and continuously hitting his face and with Blake trying to kick Archer from below.
A crowd gathered around, and soon enough some guys separated them while I still stood paralyzed to the ground.
What the hell just happened?
