everyone watched as jihoon tossed his phone, which slid to the center of the table. "yo what the fuck is wrong with you?" seungcheol asked, annoyed. jihoon may be angry, but that doesn't mean he could go ahead and toss his things everywhere, especially on the dining table while everyone is eating. it isn't like him to be this disrespectful.

his anger, with seungcheol's annoyance, only set the tension higher.

"go ahead, see for yourself," jihoon gestured to the phone. "see what the fuck is wrong with me."

the boys stayed in their places and nobody dared to look at the screen. even soonyoung, who was very concerned with the way jihoon was acting.

"now, i don't want to say this and i never thought i'd fucking say it," jihoon added. the way he was calmly talking whilst angry scared most of the members. "i work so hard for this group. i do so many things for this group because i love being a part of it and i love making music. everything i do, i do for us. but then this, this is how you repay me? by playing mind games with me? you think i enjoy this bullshit?"

"i just need a name," jihoon's voice silenced the whole room just when some of the boys started mumbling.

seungcheol reached for the phone, and his eyes widened upon seeing the video being played. right next to him was seungkwan, who caught a glimpse of what was on the screen. his first move was to look away.

that video, he knows it all too well.

everyone watched seungcheol's expression go from serious to horrified. to be clear, he wasn't horrified because it was soonyoung and jihoon. it was because he didn't expect them to keep this a secret from the whole group.

"okay now i'm fucking confused," seungcheol ran a hand over his face. "soonyoung, can you explain to me what's going on?"

everyone looked at soonyoung. the boy looked extremely guilty about something and everyone else was waiting for a word. he took a deep breath and then glanced at jihoon, who didn't even want to look at him.

"minseul and i aren't together anymore. not at this moment at least."

joshua was the first to react. he didn't say anything, though it was obvious that his expression had a mix of surprise and anger. the rest of the boys only mumbled, and soonyoung knew he needed to explain further. "we decided to take a break and during that break, well, i got closer to jihoon. i don't wanna say anything further. is that enough for you now?" he asked.

"closer? in what way?" minghao crossed his arms.

"closer in this way," seungcheol shows them the video playing on jihoon's phone, the video him and soonyoung when he played him a song. everyone heard it, every word they told each other. from soonyoung's rant about hurting minseul, all to way to jihoon's reply of an "i love you too." everyone saw how soonyoung drew close to give jihoon a tight hug and then kiss him right after.

everyone saw, except seungkwan.

by that time, jihoon was so close to bursting into flames. every inch of him felt so exposed and he didn't like the feeling even one bit. soonyoung on the other hand, had his head down and his ears were bright red from the all the shame.

"honestly, i knew," wonwoo mumbled. "remember when we were guests in the podcast? there was something about the way soonyoung talked about falling out of love. and how he kept saying "he" and "him". i kept quiet the whole time. but i noticed."

joshua looked at him and agreed, "i noticed too, but played it off since i don't want to ask about something that isn't my business."

"well, guess you weren't slick, boy," junhui told soonyoung.

"oh my god stop joking around during a serious moment i swear i will bury you alive," minghao told the boy, while trying his best to not laugh.

everyone fell silent once again.

"soonyoung hyung how could you fucking cheat on minseul like that!?" chan's voice was cold.

"is it really cheating if we're on break?" soonyoung asked

"the break is clearly fucking temporary! are you out of your mind!?" the youngest retorted. "and with jihoon hyung, really!? i expected more from the two of you! i knew you kissed as a dare but we were drunk then! i didn't think it would come THIS FAR. THIS IS TOO FUCKING FAR. BOTH OF YOU ARE CRAZY."

"fine then just fucking kick us out of the group," soonyoung replied. the two boys continued to argue and when their voices rose above each other's, seungcheol knew he had to stop the argument. arguing is so pointless. it wouldn't solve anything, just create more problems.

"hey nobody's kicking anyone out!" the leader intervened. "chan, don't talk to soonyoung like that. and soonyoung, we're not kicking you and jihoon out just because of this."

"right? cause you still need us in seventeen?" jihoon snickered

"oh just so you know, we can fucking survive without the two of you," chan mumbled. jeonghan was quick to tell the youngest to keep his mouth shut because he wasn't making the situation better in any way.

"jihoon, soonyoung, look. we are just surprised," seungcheol explained. "both of you didn't even bother telling us and we feel betrayed because of that. you've been hiding this behind our backs all this time, thinking you could get away with it!?"

"yeah don't you know that the truth comes out eventually?" minghao asked

"that's not the fucking point why i'm here though," jihoon's voice trembled. "the video. it's clearly recorded by someone in this group. i need a fucking name."

"i'm out of this," hansol announced as he threw his hands up. "i'm making that clear right away. i wasn't even here for a long time. same with josh. we were busy with school and the podcast."

"yeah, it can't be us," joshua agreed. the boys started giving their alibis one by one and everything sounded like a lie to jihoon. but then he recalled when the video happened: it was when he tried to tell minseul the truth through text.

and the only members at home were wonwoo, seungkwan, mingyu and junhui.

"where the fuck is mingyu?" jihoon angrily muttered to himself. seungkwan panicked at that very moment. he wouldn't be able to bear the guilt once jihoon drops his rage on mingyu, when it wasn't even his fault.

"j-jihoon hyung," seungkwan mumbled. he felt the cold stare of the older pierce through his soul once he turned. i'm fucking dead, seungkwan thought to himself.

"i recorded the video."

"HOLY FUCK!" junhui cussed as he stood up to block the way once jihoon started to charge at seungkwan. everyone got out of their seats as seungkwan hid behind seungcheol. meanwhile, soonyoung and wonwoo helped junhui hold jihoon back.

nobody wanted another jeonghan-chan situation.

"I'M GONNA FUCKING KILL YOU!" jihoon yelled

"HYUNG I SWEAR I DIDN'T SEND IT TO YOU!" seungkwan panicked, "I ONLY RECORDED BECAUSE THE DOOR WAS LEFT OPEN BUT I DIDN'T SEND IT TO YOU! I DIDN'T EVEN SHOW ANYBODY!"

"I DON'T BELIEVE ANYTHING YOU'RE SAYING!" jihoon shouted some more, "YOU THINK EVERYTHING IS ABOUT DRAMA. YOU THINK THIS IS FUCKING ENTERTAINING, DON'T YOU? IF YOU WANTED A REACTION FROM ME YOU COULD HAVE JUST FUCKING SAID SO!"

"I'VE BEEN STRESSING OUT OVER MY FUCKING SCHOOLWORK DAY AND NIGHT. I'M WORKING ON MULTIPLE MUSIC PROJECTS AND CHASING DEADLINES. I'M LITERALLY STUCK IN THE MIDDLE OF SOONYOUNG AND MINSEUL," he added as his face turned red from all the anger, "AND YOU DO THIS SHIT? DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH STRESS YOU PUT ME THROUGH!? THOSE LITTLE TEXTS IN CODES YOU'D SEND JUST TO FUCK WITH ME?"

"HEY WHAT THE FUCK DON'T LET HIM SLIP!" junhui shouted. "A LITTLE HELP HERE!?" seokmin rushed to the boys to help hold jihoon back.

"HYUNG I SWEAR!" seungkwan cried, "PLEASE DON'T BE ANGRY. I DIDN'T SEND IT! I DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT TEXTING YOU EITHER. PLEASE DON'T BE ANGRY!"

"YOU LIAR, YOU'RE THE ONLY ONE WHO HAD THE FUCKING VIDEO. HOW DO YOU EXPECT ME TO TRUST YOU NOW?"

"WELL TO BE FAIR, YOU'RE A LIAR TOO, JIHOON HYUNG!" chan jumped in the argument.

"chan shut the fuck up! you're really not fucking helping!" jeonghan scolded

"EVERYONE CALM THE FUCK DOWN!" seungcheol shouted. "WE CAN SETTLE THIS IN OTHER WAYS!"

"JIHOON HYUNG I'M REALLY SORRY BUT I DIDN'T DO IT!" seungkwan cried. seungcheol stood his ground in front of the boy in case jihoon gets through the four boys literally holding him back. he held seungkwan's hand, and seungkwan made sure to hold on tightly with both hands.

at some point, jihoon stopped trying to get to seungkwan and broke down instead. it was a heavy moment for everyone in the room. the boys were all tired of listening to their own members bicker at each other.

seokmin crouched down on the floor, panting. "oh god he's so little but he's so strong, i can't believe it," he said as he tried to catch his breath.

junhui and minghao almost laughed at the remark, but they decided to stay serious.

soonyoung hugged jihoon while wonwoo stood near to gently pat the younger's back.

"soonyoung hyung..." seungkwan's voice was shaky.

soonyoung didn't even want to look at him, and that truly hurt seungkwan. this was what he feared. so much damage was done, and now both soonyoung and jihoon are mad at him. every word jihoon said stung seungkwan, and the way he said it only made it worse.

it was dead quiet, (except for jihoon's sobbing) and everyone's stress level was through the roof. maybe except minghao. he was the calmest and he just sat on his seat, eating a snickers.

"soonyoung we have to talk about this, alright?" seungcheol assured. "let jihoon rest."

soonyoung then looked at wonwoo. the younger only gave him a nod and placed a hand on jihoon's arm to take him from soonyoung, but jihoon retracted. he didn't want to let go; he was embarrassed of how he looked and didn't want to face any of the members. he was extremely angry but deep inside he regretted letting his emotions get to him. it's truly a shame

"mingyu is with minseul, right?" joshua asked, then some of the boys nodded. "they should be back by now."

"nobody will tell minseul," seungcheol announced. "this is all too much at the moment. let me deal with it first, and then we'll let her know afterwards because it might be very difficult for her to take. i promise i'll work hard to keep things okay."
