"Show them your new power, Sylveon" Parker grinned, as the door to their left opened and a red eyed Sylveon came out, anger in her eyes, completely possessed. 

Sylveon leaped into the air upon entering, unleashing a group of large stars at Pikachu. Each one seemed to have more power than usual, hammering down onto Pikachu with too much force.

Pikachu became overwhelmed as Sylveon repeatedly used the move.

He didn't know how he could fight back, or what he could do. Ash was unconscious and Sylveon was too strong. 

Just at that moment, Hawlucha came flying through the other door, his high jump kick sending the door to the other side of the room, landing next to Sylveon. 

"More trouble?" Parker cocked his head sideways, mockingly staring at Hawlucha as if it was nothing but a fly coming into the room.

"No one messes with my friends!" Bonnie stood at the door, her eyebrows narrowed and daggers in her eyes. 

"A kid?" Parker held in his laughter, his face scrunched up. "I think Sylveon here needs a little back up, Umbreon, if you will be so kind"

Umbreon instantly jumped through the door, a ball of dark energy forming at his opened mouth without Parker saying another word. Umbreon unleashed the shadow ball, smashing into the wall behind Ash. The wall cracked open and a large piece of debris started to fall down towards Ash. 

"Hawlucha, stop that debris!" Bonnie panicked, jumping up and down, pointing wildly and closing her eyes.

Hawlucha leaped up and grabbed the debris, holding it steady and stopping its momentum. 

Bonnie regained her composure and pointed at Parker and his Umbreon.

"Use high jump kick on the debris!" she didn't hesitate.

Then, all hell broke loose.

Ash woke up at that moment, seeing bonnie commanding Hawlucha with ease.

Hawlucha threw the debris up and then threw his leg forward, smashing into it several large pieces. 

Parker stood still and watched as each piece smashed into the glass pane behind him, smashing it to pieces. 

"Bonnie?" Ash slowly got to his feet and then looked at Pikachu, who was panting heavily and looked hurt. "Pikachu?"

"Don't worry Ash, we are going to help you!" Bonnie shouted over her shoulder.

"Pi...ka" Pikachu gritted his teeth and stared at Sylveon, who had stopped moving due to all the commotion.

"Umbreon, agility" Parker smirked as the pink aura activated around Umbreon. "Now, quick attack everything!"

Umbreon became nothing, like the eeveelution wasn't even there. Within one second, Hawlucha had fainted and so had Pikachu, Umbreon completely destroying them both in seconds with his incredible speed boost and natural strength.

"Pi...Haw" Ash couldn't even speak, he just stared at his Pokemon.

He was exhausted from feeling pain, from feeling any emotions. Ash stared blankly at Parker, his face devoid of life.

"Ash, you look a little worse for wear" Parker grinned once more. 

"You are the worst!" Bonnie screamed, running at Parker. She began punching his legs.

Parker sighed and signalled at Umbreon, who put her to sleep to keep her quiet. 

"I don't know how anyone has lasted this long with ship operational. It baffles me, really" Parker paced up and down, Sylveon at one side, Umbreon at the other. "So, Ash, where was we? Oh yes, your decision"

"I refuse to choose" Ash replied, without any sort of tone to his voice. 

"Well, I could choose for you and make it easier if you want" Parker teased, with another satisfied grin. 

"No" Ash instantly said, making Parker pull a straight face.

"Oh Ash. Ash, Ash, Ash" Parker tutted, walking over to Ash. He put a hand under Ash's chin and made force him to look up, so their eyes met. "You will make a decision"

"No" Ash repeated. 

Parker let go of Ash and walked over to the beds. 

"Hmmph" he tapped a finger on his cheek for a moment, thinking. "Oh god, what was I thinking? The machines are fried!"

Ash looked up, with hope in his eyes. He wondered if Pikachu had gave him some time.

Nope.

"Oh well, we have back ups, so lets get this decision made, hmm?" Parker turned to watch Ash's eyes shift from hope to nothingness once more and he smirked. "It feels good to be the bad guy"

"The irony" Ash got up to his feet, walking over the glass and next to Parker. "Can I have two minutes alone before I make my decision?"

"Oh sure, sure" Parker patted Ash's shoulder. "Take all the time you need, you can't get them out anyway"

That's not my plan. Ash thought.

Parker exited the room, Sylveon and Umbreon following him. The doors closed.

"Serena?" Ash turned her around and she was still unconscious. In her sleeping state, she looked like her normal self, but Ash knew that when her eyes opened again, she would not be the same. 

He stared at her face, at his Mom and then back to Serena. They was both everything he wanted to protect, the choice he had to make was impossible. Then, he remembered the feeling he had during the first tournament qualifier. 

It was inconceivable, something he hadn't felt before. Love. He felt like he needed to protect someone, for the first time in forever. She had kissed him on that day and saved him from being possessed.

"Maybe it will work in the same way?" Ash wondered, stroking Serena's hair out of her face. He leaned towards her and pressed his lips on hers. There was a moment of dead silence and Ash moved away, but Serena wasn't moving still. Ash noticed she was locked to the bed, with braces around her arms. He turned away, feeling defeated. "Maybe I'm wrong"

"A-Ash?" Serena's voice came ever so softly, like it was a voice in his head. Ash felt a bolt of lightning go through his body and he slowly turned around. Serena had deep red eyes, but her expression was soft. "I can feel it Ash, inside me. It hurts" 

"Serena?" Ash almost jumped to her side, grabbing onto her hand. He squeezed it tightly. "What's inside of you?"

"I don't know, its in my head. It feels so horrible" Serena closed her eyes that were still red. "It wants me to...attack you"

"I thought kissing you would work, like it did to me..." Ash wiped a tear from his eye and then a tear from Serena's eye.

"I know what's going on. I still have my own conscience, even if it is being locked up and replaced with this, this possessed version of me. I don't know what I said, but I am-" 

"Don't apologize. Nothing is your fault. I love you Serena" Ash put a finger on her lips and then smiled, but she still looked sad.

"I don't think it worked, Ash" she started to cry, bursting out in to tears. "IT HURTS SO MUCH" she screamed out in pain and then stopped moving.

"Serena?" Ash asked.

"You're so worthless" Serena's reply came. Ash felt defeated once more. "Wait, Ash" her normal voice came this time. 

"Huh?" Ash looked up, his emotions stirring up in his stomach again. 

"I want you to choose me" She replied calmly, but Ash almost instantly shook his head.

"I am not choosing anyone" Ash adamantly shook his head again. 

"If you don't, then you lose me and your Mom. You can't lose your Mom after everything she has done" Serena continued. Ash knew she wouldn't take no.

"Serena..." Ash said through his tears. 

"I love you Ash, but there is no other way of winning" Serena stopped and gritted her teeth, screaming out in pain once more.

"SERENA!" Ash tried to stand up, but he was hit out of nowhere by Umbreon, who knocked him back over the glass. 

"You guys are so cringey, it's untrue" Parker mocked and then laughed. "Guess the decision has been made" Parker continued over a screaming Serena. 

"Please...Serena" Ash had never felt so weak in his whole life. Everything he did was fun, everywhere he travelled was exciting. For the first time in his life, he felt weak, he wasn't enjoying his new journey. Ash couldn't move, his legs felt like jelly and he was tired of everything. 

"Serena, press the button" Parker spoke with a cold voice, Serena continued to scream.

Her hand began to shake as she reached out for the button, her own mind doing everything to fightback. 

But, she didn't put up much of a fight, knowing that everything was inevitable. Her hand pressed down on the button and the machines began to whir and come to life. 

Everything began to go bright around Serena, Ash was blinded by the light. He jumped up and reached out, hoping to grab Serena and then everything would be okay. 

"SERENAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" Ash yelled out as he jumped into the light.
