A/N: this is a what if that's been on my mind for a while.

What if the GMK film was somehow canon to the kiryu saga.

So what would happen if GMK.

Happened during Tokyo S.O.S.

It would be a bit of a complicated story due to how both gmk and the kiryu saga goes. But I would say that the events would be a bit the same like gmk except with another godzilla, another mothra and kiryu being involved.

From how I see it, I think it would start when ghost godzilla doing what he did in gmk. Except I think during his battle with baragon, is when the godzilla that was fought by kiryu would appear during the battle. It would be a bit of a three way fight until ghost godzilla would manage to best the real godzilla and kill baragon. Ghost godzilla would eventually leave while thinking he killed the real one. Meanwhile, the humans characters would try to figure out what's with all the other monsters appearing so suddenly and they would eventually try to find a way to stop it. During that, ghost godzilla would continue his rampage until the mothra from infant island would be stop him in his tracks and battle with him. She would start to struggle with him until the guardian mothra would appear and help the other mothra against ghost godzilla. They would do well at first but they would still struggle against him. During the battle, the J.S.D.F came to the conclusion to launch kiryu and after it was over, they would scrap the project. After kiryu would arrive, the guardian king ghidorah would have already arrived to fight the ghost godzilla. The two of them would be able to fend off ghost godzilla until he managed to best the two. Before he could try to kill ghidorah, the real godzilla would appear ans fight against ghost godzilla. They would be even in the fight with the real godzilla probably even blowing an eye off ghost godzilla. Before ghost godzilla would blast the real godzilla with his atomic breath, the guardian mothra would get in the way and get killed. This would lead to her essence going to ghidorah and giving him more power to fight ghost godzilla. Him, the real godzilla and kiryu would all fight ghost godzilla while the other mothra was still trying to get up from her injuries just as her children arrive. Ghost godzilla would still be hard to beat so ghidorah would give his life to the real godzilla and give him more to destroy ghost godzilla. Godzilla would fire a more powerful version of his atomic breath and shot it through ghost godzilla's chest and first destroyed his heart and then the entire body of ghost godzilla. After the battle, godzilla would turn to kiryu and the surviving mothra and the stair at them. Godzilla would then head back to the ocean since he used up alot of his energy during his battle against ghost godzilla and he would need to go into hibernation for a few years. After that, the J.S.D.F kept their promise and returned the bones to the sea and mothra and everyone would await for the day for the real godzilla should ever return.
