nineteen.
___
It didn't take you long to put two and two together. Your mother was paying Yui for something she was doing, and something she wanted Yui to remain doing. That day you bumped into Yui, and she was counting her money, you thought that was pretty odd; she never brought that much money to school.
Your mother was paying Yui to keep Hyunjin away from you.
After you listened to their conversation the previous night, you told Yejoon exactly what happened, and he was just as shocked as you were. You were actually quite angry at the whole situation. How could you not be?
So, the next morning, you and Yejoon informed Hyunjin on what happened, and you told them the plan you had in mind. Yejoon left to go to class, while you and Hyunjin went to your first period. The two of you took your seats, and soon it was nearly the end of class.
"Hyunjin, do you have a dollar?"
You asked pretty loud, just so everyone would hear what you were asking for. You asked one more of your classmates before looking at Yui.
"Yui, do you have a dollar."
"Nope."
"Really?"
She raised an eyebrow at you as you stood up. "Why would I be lying?"
"Oh, I don't know. Maybe because you were counting a lot of money the other day." You said, putting your hands on her desk. "Oh, you know what it is? The fact that I saw my mother paying you last night."
Her jaw dropped slightly and she stood up. "What are you saying?!"
"I'm saying that you and my mother are working together to try and keep me away from Hyunjin, but you need to know one thing, Yui." You leaned in. "You, nor my mother can keep me away from him, so I suggest you stop trying."
"I've never seen her look so scared!" Hyunjin said.
"Show me what her face looked like!" Yejoon exclaimed.
You and Hyunjin made simultaneous faces, trying to imitate the look on Yui's face. Yejoon laughed and smacked the table, then he continued to eat his pizza.
"I kinda feel bad for calling her out like that." You announced.
Yejoon laughed. "She deserved it. You did the right thing."
You nodded and took a bite of your food. You and the boys had decided to go out, ignoring your mothers wishes of getting home right after school. You hadn't gone out with them in so long, and it was really nice to just spend time with them.
"Has anyone talked to you about the wedding recently?" Hyunjin asked.
You shook your head. "No, but I've been thinking about ways to get out of it. I haven't had an extremely good idea yet, though."
"You'll think of something. You're a genius." Yejoon said.
You chuckled and threw your trash away, and you and the boys headed out. You didn't realize how late it was until you checked your phone; it was already eight p.m. The three of you said goodbye and parted ways, going to your homes.
When you walked through the front door, your father was watching tv on the couch. "Hey, Dad."
He looked over and smiled. "Hi, honey. How was your day?"
"Good. Did you know mother was paying one of my classmates to keep Hyunjin away from me?"
He furrowed his eyebrows. "I did not know that."
You hummed. "Where is she anyways?"
"I don't know. She said she was going out."
You tilted your head. It was odd for your mother to get out of the house so late. She often had a curfew for herself. You looked down at your feet, but froze when you saw a small card on the ground. You bent down and picked it up, reading it.
Meet me at the club we talked about- K.
You went to the only club in Seoul that your mother would even consider going to. Luckily, since the bouncer knew you, he let you in. You made your way through the busy crowd and looked over at the bar, but you didn't see your mother there. You couldn't find her on the dance floor, in the vip, even the restrooms.
Then you remembered there was a completely different section of the club. The bedrooms.
You groaned in disgust under your breath and headed up the stairs, walking into the hallway. You heard noises that made you sick to your stomach, but you eventually heard a familiar voice, but it wasn't your mothers.
It was Mr. Kim's.
You opened the door and stormed through it, freezing at the sight of your mother on top of Mr. Kim.
"What the hell, Y/N?!" Your mother yelled.
"You're asking me that?!" You screamed. "You're cheating on your husband!"
She shrugged. "So?"
You let out an angry laugh and slammed the door against the wall. "You're awful. You're seriously the worst person to ever be around. Do you think about anybody but yourself? All that Dad has done for you was try to make you happy, and you throw him to the side like this?" You snapped, looking at Mr. Kim. "And what about your wife, Mr. Kim. How would she feel? She would probably be devastated. I'm devastated, and you two put me through so much hell. It makes me wonder how hurt the people that actually love you will feel."
And then you left the club in a rage of hot tears.
