DRAGONSTONE -26

16 years later

Lyanna entered the throne room and found her father sitting on the steps, she sighed. She walked and sat next to him, it was the day she thought. The sixteenth anniversary of her mother's death. It was difficult for him and she understood, it was difficult for her too. She always missed her mother, sometimes she imagined her loving hands hugging her and her brushing her hair, she imagined the proud smile she would have when she would see her riding Elion and Rheagal for the first time. She put her hand on top of her father's and laid her hand on his shoulder

"She would stand there and everyone would shout 'long may she reign'.....her reign didn't even last a year" Jon said and a tear rolled down his cheek before he hugged his daughter "she would have been so proud of you" he said and smiled a bit

"And I am sure she would be most proud for you and how you are a great king, dad" she said softly and stood up "now I must go and get ready for our journey, you should too" she said and walked to her room

Tomorrow they would start their trip to Winterfell, she hadn't been there in a very long time.

Sixteen years had past and Robb still remembered Maegal, his eternal love, his queen. He would find himself dreaming of her, oh young and sweet Marie and dead before her time. But today Jon or better Aegon, the king of the seven kingdoms would arrive along with his daughter Lyanna Targaryen. He was anxious, he hadn't seen his child since she was just a baby. When a dragon's cry was heard he knew they were coming. Jon had sent him many letters telling him how she looked and acted just like her mother and how much she loved the dragons.

When the dragon landed in the courtyard everyone was in awe, the young princess was sitting gracefully on it. Robb looked at her stunned, for a moment he thought it was Maegal. She was exactly like her only the eyes were different.....his daughter's eyes were the same with his. Her hair was a dark shade of blonde and her pale skin matched the snow of the castle perfectly. She got off her dragon, petted it and then made a small bow to Robb and his wife.

Lyanna was no fool, she knew her mother was once married to Robb and she also knew that her parents were well siblings. She knew all the story except one part that she had come to realize just now....maybe Jon after all wasn't her biological father. The eyes of lord Stark were the same as hers. She smiled at him and shook hands with the young heir of Winterfell. A boy her age stood beside his father, the only child of Robb and Talissa. Then she watched as Robb made a small bow to the king and then they hugged, they were once brothers after all.

For a moment both of them looked into each other's eyes and searched a silent grief. Robb looked down and sighed, sixteen years and none of them managed to move on for real. Especially Jon who refused to marry another.

"This is my daughter, Lyanna Targaryen" Jon introduced the princess to the lord of Winterfell, she smiled and they shook hands as Robb looked at her lovingly

"You look like your mother so much" he said and smiled sadly

"Thank you my lord, I can't imagine a higher praise" she said and nodded as Robb introduced her to his son

"This is my son, Eddard Stark" he said and he smiled to the young princess

"Nice to meet you your grace and my princess" he said and flashed her a smile, he looked like his father but he had the hair and the eyes of his mother

"Shall we get inside? It's cold out here" Robb said as they all headed inside

As they sat on the dinner table the two brothers looked at each other, they haven't seen each other since then. Aegon studied Robb, he had changed. Not only on the outside but inside too, he looked trapped between reality and a dream long gone. His wounds were soul deep, he had learned his lesson as well. And so had Jon. Though he still carried the burden of never revealing to Marienna that he was her brother. Then he glanced at his daughter who looked so perfect, if only she knew the truth he thought....if only she knew that Robb was her brother. But she was too busy chatting off with Eddard to even care about anything else. Both of them oblivious to the fact that they were half siblings

"They seem to get along" Robb said to Jon as he took a sip from his wine

"A little too much, don't you think?" Jon asked and sighed

"They are just chatting Jon relax....after all Lyanna is more your blood than mine" he said and looked at him referring to him and Maegal being siblings "she didn't know, did she?" He asked

"You really She would have married me if she knew? Of course not....and that still burdens me. Especially now, now that everyone knows" he said and sighed before put a hand on his shoulder

"Her brother or not you were a better husband to her than I was" he said and smiled sadly "I miss her Jon....more than I could ever imagine" he said and Jon nodded

"We stand together in this one....you see after Doran's death Tristan came and asked for me marrying Lyanna to his son" he said and sighed

"And what did you say?" Robb asked with a small frown as Jon shrugged

"I said I would think about it, after all they are of the same age and Olyvar Martell is a good boy" he said

Meanwhile Lyanna was fascinated by Eddard. The two got along so well it really came to a surprise for her. She would tell him stories about her flying her dragon and he would tell her everything about hunting and direwolves and the Wall he once visited to go and see how the edge of the world was.

"So how long will you stay here?" He asked her with a spark in his eyes and she shrugged grinning

"I don't know really, it's up to father. But I hope I will be staying here for quite some time" she said with a grin. Lyanna felt for the first time the freedom her mother had chased so much, she felt ready to live her life to the fullest and for that she would always be grateful to that one person who changed Westeros.

Her mother, the young queen, to Maegal Targaryen.

And that is the end, don't forget to vote and comment.
