Chapter Four: His sister!?
(Just want to say...thanks Melody, for putting that chapter in and telling my readers what's going on. You're the best big sis a girl could have. Also, 500!!!! 500 reads! YASSSSSSSSSSSS FAM! Thank you guys!)
The son of Poseidon's feet flew, racing to get away. His older brother chased him, a gleam in his eyes. Then the eldest son raised the trident of their father, the ocean's current running through it. He brought the trident down and a wave of pure power came with it and knocked the one with one eye off his feet. He struggled to get up, but his brother stood over him, holding the trident to his neck.
Jake laughed. "Not too bad, Mitch! But you still need to dodge when you hear the wave coming."
Mitch said "Hey! I'm not as agile as you!"
Jake helped Mitch off of his butt and they stretched.
"Ready for lunch? Kaykrae said she had a few announcements to make."
"Alright, what do you think it is this time? Another trial?"
"I don't think so. We just did the Trial of Hades and the Trial of Demeter didn't we?"
The brothers started walking towards the pavilion, taking jabs at each other and laughing over some stupid thing Jake had done in the past. Their brotherly relationship was truly something to marvel at.
With minutes, they got to the pavilion and took their seats. Bryan sent Jake a wink and a smile before Kaykrae called for silence.
"Everyone, I wish this was about some boring, sleep-inducing subject, but this is a very serious meeting," Kaykrae said grimly.
Jake perked up and sat up a little straighter.
"I've been getting many reports from people in the field that the Titans are stirring. Their bonds still hold, but soon, the gods may have to either replace the bonds or...repeat the war that occurred many years ago."
Everyone froze at that news. The Titan War...repeated? None of them had been alive during that, but they all knew what it was...battles so ridiculous it was impossible to even fathom. Thousands had been killed, not Titans or the gods, but humans... if the war was repeated, they would have to be dragged into the fight as the children of the gods. It was suicide to even fight one Titan. To fight them all? Only someone with a death wish would dare do that.
"On a happier note, we've acquired two new campers. Brianna, Michael, come forward."
Two people that had been behind her stepped up: one boy and a girl. The boy kinda looked like Brick, with his black and purple theme colors. He had brown hair that had purple streaks going throughout it and matching purple eyes. He wore dusty black clothes and had an angry red scar going down the side of his face.
Jake didn't pay attention to him though. When everyone saw the girl, no one did. She was the most beautiful woman any of them had ever seen, after all.
She had strawberry-blond hair that fell to her waist in a cascade of waves, adorned with a pink flower crown. Her large, sky-blue eyes seemed to x-ray them, searching inside of their very souls. Her face was a masterpiece: perfect makeup, small and centered nose, a smile that would've lit up the dark side of the moon. She wore a white, strapless dress with a cyan torso. Ten-foot, feathery white wings stretched out from her back.
"Everyone, this is Michael, son of Athena and Brianna, daughter of Aphrodite. I want two of you to later give them a tour of the oasis, seeing as I have many things to discuss with Marshie. Volunteers?"
Bryan's hand shot into the air. So did Reyna's.
"Excellent. Bryan, Reyna, thank you. Meeting adjourned."
Immediately, Brianna dashed over and tackled Bryan around the waist.
"GAH! Um, Bri, Bri! Hey, uh, I'm glad to see you too, but-"
"Bryan Mendivil, you are ALIVE?!" Brianna practically screamed.
"Uhh, yeah, I am."
"AND YOU DIDN'T CONTACT ME?! YOUR SISTER?! WE ARE FLESH AND BLOOD, BRYAN!"
"Uh, Bri? L-Let me go! You're making a scene! A-And I can't breathe!"
Brianna slowly let Bryan go. "Bryan, why in Zeus have you not contacted me?! I swear to Erebos after the Minotaur attacked you-"
"Bri, calm down. You're scaring the other campers. Listen, I know we have a lot to talk about, but I have a lot of things to do and not a lot of time to do them."
Brianna scoffed. "2 years, same Bryan." (I'm makin' a ton of this up, so...fair warning)
"Uhh, can you two explain what in Hades is going on here?" Xylo demanded.
"Long story, involving a Minotaur and many killer sheep. It'll take a while to go into detail, but the gist is, Brianna here is my birth sister and we got separated about 2 years ago. And now, she's probably going to kill me for not contacting her," Bryan predicted.
Bryan stood up, brushed the dust off of his chiton and walked out of the pavilion. Of course, not without blowing a kiss and winking at Jake.
Xylo raised an eyebrow and smiled mischievously. "So, are you and him a thing now? I'm very curious." He asked Jake.
Jake facepalmed. "No, how many times do I have to say this? He's just a very persistent Casanova."
Brick laughed. "So, that picnic wasn't a date?"
Jake stared at him. "W-W-W-What?! What do you mean?!"
"Wait, what do you mean Brick?" Mario asked.
"Oh, it was quite romantic. In the middle of the night, full moon, candlelit dinner, roses. You two made quite the cute couple."
Jake's face flushed with anger and embarrassment. "W-were you spying on us?!!"
"Let's just say I was in the area and couldn't help but notice you two."
"B-BRICK!! YOU'RE DEAD!"
"Run Brick!" Mitch yelled.
Brick obliged and bolted, Jake hot on his heels.
None of them had any idea that, soon, Xylo's words would become a reality.
