Jake's feet raced across the sand, just behind his brother Mitch.

"Jake, hurry!" Mitch called behind him. "We're gonna be late for the Camp Oasis orientation!"

Jake didn't need reminding. Their dad, Poseidon, had sent them to this 6-month camp, Camp Oasis for, well, they needed to get out of the undersea palace and meet more demigods. Thankfully, it wasn't far so they could visit him at any time and Camp Oasis accepted all sorts of people: Demigods, satyrs and, in the case of the counselors, monsters. Jake had been reluctant to go at first, but once he saw that Mitch was raring to go, he agreed.

Finally, they saw the massive statues of Demeter holding gargantuan spears in the distance. Soon enough, they reach the small gathering of people, drenched in sweat. Being wet was not something they were used to. It was a rather strange feeling.

"Uh, hi!" Mitch called out. "Sorry, we're late! My brother-"

"Don't you dare blame me on me, Mitch," Jake growled.

"If you two are done," The lady in the front interjected. "We can start this. Welcome to Camp Oasis, everyone. My name is Kaykrae, I am your head counselor. Let's make quick introductions and we can start the tour. Let's start from the right."

As the others started to introduce themselves, Jake took a look at them all. There was a satyr girl, a person made of pure shadow, a guy with a horse and a bow, maybe a son of Apollo, a super edgy red dude, some son of Zeus named Mario and...the hottest and sexiest guy Jake had ever seen.

Jake couldn't help but stare. This guy was pure perfection. Strong jaw, perfect nose, great abs underneath his white chiton, auburn hair tousled perfectly, brown eyes you could get lost in... Jake's knees felt weak just looking at him.

Kaykrae turned to this ridiculously hot guy. "And you, sir?"

He looked rather bored as if he had better things to do than be at this orientation, but very handsomely so. "Hello everyone. I'm Bryan, son of Aphrodite, ancient goddess of love and affection."  

Well, that explained his knockout hotness. 

Bryan looked at all of them. The girls instantly blushed and the boys leaned away: Bryan's good looks were rather intimidating. Then he laid eyes on Jake. Bryan raised his eyebrows, then, a grin started to steal across his face. His eyes took in all of Jake; his brown and blue hair, his sky-blue eyes, the silver diadem on his forehead and even the wave tattoo on his chest.

"Perfect. Now that everyone has introduced themselves, we can begin. Follow me." Kaykrae commanded.

The group followed her into the oasis. Kaykrae showed them all around the cabins, firepit, sparing arena and even the Oracle's home and she kept telling interesting facts about how it all was built and what the original purposes for them were. Jake got so caught up in the coolness of it all that he didn't notice Bryan looking at him with a gleam in his eyes.

After the tour, it was time for dinner and cabin claims. Kaykrae explained that, unlike Camp Half-Blood, there would be two people to a cabin and, unless they wanted to, they wouldn't be with family members. They would choose who they wanted to be with as she read the names off. Brick, the son of Hades, would be with Xylo, the son of Apollo. Mario, son of Zeus, was with Reyna, the female satyr. Kaykre kept rattling off the names until she said, "Jake, son of Poseidon."

Jake expected Mitch to choose him. They did everything together after all. But this time, Mitch was a little too slow.

Bryan slid in on the bench right next to Jake. Like, right next to him. "I'll take him, gladly."

Jake felt his face start to grow hot. What with Bryan being so close to him and all the shocked and angry looks on the girls' faces was making everything extremely awkward. 

"Jake? Do you accept Bryan as your cabin mate?" Kaykrae asked.

"Ummmm..." He weighed his options. Bryan was sexy and he seemed like a cool guy, but he didn't know him. And he seemed he was a little stuck-up. But then again...

"Uh, yeah. He can be my cabin mate."

Mitch and all the ladies blanched while Bryan smirked.

Later that night, Jake walked into his new cabin after a quick swim and spotted Bryan in his new king-sized bed. Jake couldn't help but blush. Bryan was super hot when he slept. Jake regretted and was pleased with his choice at the same time. He regretted it because Bryan would likely try and fool him. He was pleased because, even if Bryan tried to play him, he would at least get to see someone super hot each night.
