There are three main parts of a tree.

We have the:

1. Leaves
2. Branches
3. Trunk

The leaves are the prettiest parts of the tree. They bring colour and excitement to the tree.
They swing lightly when there's a gentle breeze.
They are the first thing that catches your eyes when you look on a tree, yet they fall off from the branches during seasonal changes.
They wither away. They disappear. They give us the most work than anything possible in autumn. We have to be raking them in heaps and then burning them so they won't be messing up our homes. Leaves never return but are only replaced by a new set when it is spring.

Branches are the second thing you see. Once there are no leaves they are easily seen. We often times quarrel or laugh at a tree that has no leaves. We don't really stop to think that they are the ones that holds the leaves in place. We don't realize where the beauty comes from. Branches or a lot stronger than leaves. During seasonal changes they may survive, but then again some branches might fall off from the tree. They were just not strong enough to keep holding on through the stormy weather. It has lost all of its strength and think that the best thing to do is just give up. There is no sense of holding on.

The trunk is by far the strongest part of the tree. It stands tall. It stands proud. It is not easily shaken. It is unmovable. Leaves and branches might wither away but the trunk still remains. It is rooted and grounded. Planted firm and deep in the ground. You may cut off the top half of a tree and leave the bottom part which is the trunk thinking it will rot and it is of no futher use, but guess what in due season it springs to life again growing a new upper level part of the tree.

My main question is which are you?

A leaf that is pretty but easily withers away through seasonal changes.

A branch that looks strong but in storms it let's go and fall to the ground.

Or

A trunk that is unmovable, anchored through whatever changes that may occur.

Look into yourself see what life you are living?
What kind of person you are to people?

Another question which one do you think our God is?

A leaf that is easily shaken off.

A branch that cannot hold on through various weather condition.

Or

A trunk that is standing tall and proud.

My friends there is no doubt that my God, our God is like a tree trunk.

He never changes, he never fails, he never gives up, he is not there to look pretty and then disappear when hardship arrives.

He is a victor. He is mighty and all powerful.

I encourage you to take Jesus as your Lord and personal Savior. Put your trust in him 'the trunk of the tree' and he shall strengthen thine heart.
