Why Does God Allow Evil?

xxx

Hola, mi amigos!

This is a big question for a lot of people.

You know, because if God was a God of love, why would He allow evil in the world He created?

Well, here's my look on it!

God doesn't want us to be like robots following Christ, he wants us to want to follow Christ. He could change everyone's personality so that everyone couldn't sin, but He wants us to come to know Christ for ourselves and by ourselves.

God gave us a choice, a free will.

Here's a verse to back that fact up:  John 3:16

I know this verse has been repeated so many times and everyone knows it, but have you ever really paid attention to what he says there?

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."

Whoever believes...

He didn't say, "That when everyone believes..." He gave us a choice and we've missed the proof in that verse so many times.

God created Adam and Eve innocent, but with the ability to choose good and evil: Because of this, they could respond to His love and trust Him or choose to disobey. They chose to disobey, and so do we - most of the time.

The penalty of sin is death. We should be dead. Now, that sounds terrible and it scares me to admit that. But then I remember what Jesus did for me. He took my punishment and died for me, and He did the same for you.

God is a gracious God, and He wants us to follow Him. God does have emotions. He does get sad when he sees someone hurting, and he gets gets happy/joyful when he sees someone enjoying themselves. He is loving and caring, but also just and upright (Deuteronomy 32:4).

So, back to the point!

God gave us a choice, a choice between good and evil and it's up to you.

What are you going to do?

What are you going to choose?

Who are you going to choose?

"Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters."       - Matthew 12:30

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it's true.

Nothing from the bible is a lie and everything from the bible is trustworthy.

Whether you've heard this a million times or for the first time, I hope you understand what he's saying. He's not try to persecute you, or make you feel scared or bad. He's trying to make you understand that Jesus is the only way to heaven and if you're not with Him - then you're against Him.

I'll leave you with this:

Who are you?

Who are you without Christ and who are you with Christ?

And if you're not a Christian and you're reading this, think about this:

What's holding you back?

What's creating a barrier between you and God?

God Bless xx

- Love, Megs.
