Suicide & Self Harm
xxx
Hey guys!
So, I decided to have a chat about this, since it is a subject many people think you should only talk about behind closed doors, whereas -- I think it's a subject that needs to discussed in public for everyone to hear.
I mean, people are committing suicide and partaking in self-harm everyday and what are we doing about it? Talking about in private? Feeling sorry for them?
NO!
This is serious and important to talk about.
First off - if any of you who are reading this are self-harming - please, please stop. It's not the way out. I know it seems like it is, but trust me - it isn't. I've been there, I've self-harmed before, it's not worth it. Please, please stop doing it.
Secondly - anyone can be a victim of self-harm and suicidal thoughts. Christians, Atheists, non-Christians, anyone - religion doesn't matter, culture doesn't matter... anyone can fall a victim of these two life changing mistakes.
I've seen a few people hold up this "suicide sign", where a quote is written about suicide and let me tell you - it's so true.
It read:
"Suicide doesn't end the chances of life getting worse, it eliminates the possibility of it ever getting better."
I'll post the picture at the end of the chapter for you guys to read for yourselves.
(You might even recognise the singer holding the poster...)
Listen when I tell you that it isn't worth it, so if you're thinking about doing it -- please don't.
My best friend literally bombarded me over the phone to stop, he really cares and I hope that you all have that one person that cares for you like that...
And if you don't, I'm only a message away. I always reply and don't mind listening to endless messages and giving tons of advice.
I AM ALWAYS HERE AND SO IS GOD.

So, two things to remember:
1. Suicide isn't the answer -- I'll post a video with the next chapter about suicide (it literally made me cry, because it was so true and sad) and honestly, I think suicide hurts the people around you more than you.
2. Self-harm isn't the right way to morn, grieve, let out your anger, feel better or even seek attention (which not many people do). To those who have already fallen into self-harm - you're a survivor and you're scars aren't reminders of your weakness, they're reminders of how you came out of self-harm. In the years to come, you're going to look back to those scars and you're going to be reminded of how you overcame those AWFUL times.
Also, there are more than one way to self-harm -- so friends, don't only look for those with long sleeves and scars. Self-harming doesn't always leave a scar. In my opinion, keeping all of those terrible feelings inside, leading to depression (which we'll chat about later) is another way to self-harm. Bottling up emotions leave you tired, numb and depressed.
So talk.
Talk to anyone. Me, you're favourite stuffed animal, yourself (it's not weird at all and people who say that talking to yourself is a sign of insanity, is a lie), your friends, your family, literally anyone who'll listen.
I myself find it a lot easier to talk to a stuffed animal, a wall or even my friend... talking removes the emptiness inside -- but it's not a once-off thing. You have to keep talking, no matter what the circumstances. And if friends find you a burden -- then they aren't friends, I'm sorry.
Friends should be there through thick and thin, and if they're not -- you know what you should do. A real, true friend will never find you a burden, ever.
That's all for now. If you have a request on a subject to mention, please contact me in a comment or a message. I'd love to hear from my readers.
Thanks for all the reads and votes!
Love, Megs.
