"Debrah I swear if I'm late for this game," I hear Makayla shout. She was all decked out in her field hockey uniform.
I looked at my reflection in the mirror. Dang did I look good. I'd make all the other moms totes jelly. I add more gel to my hair to make it really spiked in the back. And some more to smooth it out in the front. I had enough gel to stop a train. Satisfied I turned out of the bathroom to grab Makayla.
"Dear I'm ready," I say. Looking closely at Makayla I could tell she was really salty. So salty in fact she could turn a lake into an ocean.
"Finally! WHAT TOOK YOU SO LONG!!! Coach is gonna kill me!" Makayla shouts at me.
Hannah then walks in half dead as always wearing a t-short with some weird cartoon stuff on it, black jeans, Converse and a beret (those French hats I can't spell...).
"Do you ever even sleep, this can't be healthy. Y'all need to go back to bed." I say.
"I was up all night watching anime. And no I will not go back to bed." Hannah says very sassily.
"Alrighty then, TO THE MOM VAN!" I shout.
I walk out before the girls and I swear I see Herb on the lawn. I blink and he disappears. Weird. Whatever, must be the wine...
"GO GO GO GO GO" Makayla is anxiously sitting in the passenger seat. She's getting real annoying.
"We're gonna be fine" I say and roll my eyes. Children are so needy.
"Well then," I hear Hannah mutter.
"What?!" I say. This girl is too sassy.
"Can you not call us children in front of the readers it's embarrassing," she says.
Waaaaaa readers? I have weird children... I think.
"Rude" Hannah mutters.
I don't respond because, again I swear I saw Herb. But I try to focus on him and he disappears.
We arrived to the game and Makayla bursts out of the car faster than I could stop it. She sprints away before I could scold her. Hannah and I walk over to the field as a hand Hannah a juice pouch (they were out of juice boxes at the store. I was DEVASTATED).  We continue on and stand by the sideline and watch Makayla's team warm up.
"You saw Dad didn't you?" Hannah says casually as she sips in juice.
"What are you talking about? Silly girl..." I say. There was no way I saw Herb. He has been gone for 14 years, why would he suddenly show up?
Hannah glances at me searching my face, suspicious. "Well, even though I know you're lying, I'm hungry. Can you go get pizza at concessions?" She says.
"Oh, of course dear." I didn't argue. She was freaking me out. I didn't question why she wanted pizza so early either. Weirdo. I wander over and no one is at concessions. Well except one person, Herb. He stood in the middle of a grouping of picnic tables. No one was manning concessions.
"Debrah," Herb says, "We need to talk."

MWAHAHAHAH CLIFF HANGER. Sorry about the lack of updates. I didn't know where I wanted to go with this story so I needed time. Today I was inspired so I have some ideas.
