Chapter 3
You felt your eyes widen and a smile erupt on your face as you gasped in wonder. You've always loved roller-coasters, no doubt about it, and this is literally your ideal situation; free food, drinks and time at an amusement park with a friend; couldn't be better!
You immediately caught sight of a large ride with multiple loops and large drops. You quickly grabbed Akise's arm and sprinted towards the contraption, a massive smile still invading your once calm features. The albino boy behind you just followed you silently, not bothering to question your antics; probably because you already told him about your undying and immensely overwhelming passionate love for the metal contraptions that arouse thrills and excitement from their lucky participants.
When you finally reached the ride, you had to wait in a queue for 10 minutes before you got in the cart. You were practically shaking with excitement when the ride started to move, gradually ascending to a greater altitude and jolting to a halt before quickly accelerating down the large drop, the wind blowing through your hair and forcefully pushing your body backwards into the seat. You looked to the side and saw Akise sitting there with a bored expression before he looked over at you and smiled. The ride was soon over, being much shorter than you would've hoped.
After 2 or so hours of going on rides, you decided to get something to eat. Walking calmly around the theme park, you soon spotted a small restaurant with an outdoor seating area and agreed to go and eat in there. You went and got a seat outside whereas Akise went inside to get some food and drinks.
"(y/n)?" You looked up to see Yukiteru standing in front of you.
"Sup, Yuki." You responded casually, having expected to come across him and Yuno at some point during the day. "Where's Yuno?"
"Oh, she's getting food." You invited him to sit down with you until she or Akise came back in response and he kindly obliged, the two of you talking about the future diary game until Akise came back with food, Yuno following soon after and Yuki going to sit with her after saying a goodbye.
After you and Akise finished your food and drink, you both agreed on going to the haunted house.
In the haunted house~
You walked down the small corridor next to Akise, the room completely dark and silent.
"Hey, Akise. Watch, something's gonna come out of that box when we get closer towards it." You pointed towards the box as the two of you neared it. As you prophecised, a skull with glowing eyes shot out of the box and screamed. "HA! I BLOODY CALLED IT!!!" You screamed, punctuating your sentence with a victory dab. The albino next to you just chuckled and ruffled your hair.
"Honestly, you're such an idiot." he teased, moving onwards.
"At least I'm a lovable idiot." he just rolled his eyes and continued down the path, both of you having a small smile on your face as you continued to point out everything that would happen.
1 hour later~
You awkwardly walked out of the bathroom, your arms over your chest as you quickly ran behind a bin and curled up into a ball, a massive blush spread across your face.
Soon after, an albino wearing red swimming trunks walked out of the bathroom calling your name.
"...over here." You responded quietly, hoping he didn't really hear. Sadly enough, luck was not a good friend of yours and the kid detective found your hiding place and pulled you out.
"...Why were you behind a bin?" You cringed slightly, being reminded of your current attire.
"I thought I saw a fiver..."
"...So you sat down behind the bin..."
"...Yes..." he just rolled his eyes and gently grabbed your hand, pulling you towards the large swimming pool.
The second you got to the pool, you jumped in and made a massive splash while doing so. The white haired boy that accompanied you just laughed at your childish antics and followed suit, except he just slid into the water and stood there.
"You going to swim or just stand there awkwardly?" he raised an eyebrow at you, teasing you subtley.
"...Shut up. I'm just not used to this lackage of clothing."
"Even when you're awkward, you still manage to talk like a smartass." he smirked down at you, ruffling your wet hair as your eye began to twitch.
"...Bloody git." You grumbled, pouting slightly.
"What was that?" your eyes widened when you noticed you said that out loud.
"N-Nothing!! Just talking about how much of a great person you are!!"
"That's better."
At the end of the day~
"Alright, well I guess this is where we depart and go our separate ways..." You said dramatically, the boy in front of you chuckling and turning towards you.
"I'll walk you home, you've got to be protected anyway. That's my mission." he winked at you, following behind with his hands on his head and his elbows raised in the air as he stretched.
The walk back to your house was short, only 5 or so minutes. When you reached the door, you took out your keys and unlocked it before pushing it open. "HONEY, I'M HOME!!!" You yelled into the almost empty house, your two huskies rushing through the doors and jumping onto you, making you let out a small 'KYAAA!' as you fell to the floor. The two dogs licked your cheeks, making you giggle and completely forget about your guest until they stopped and the sound of him laughing became more evident. "Oh... Come in." You said awkwardly, brushing yourself down and scratching the back of your neck. He obliged, taking off his shoes and following you down the corridor, the two huskies obediently trotting along at your feet.
"Where are your parents?" he asked curiously, looking around the small house.
"...They're on a business trip. They'll be gone for a while." You looked down, soon entering your house's living room and sitting down on the comfy brown couch.
"Don't you have electricity?" he asked further, his detective instincts kicking in.
"It must just be out. Sorry for the hassle." You looked down again, hoping he'd stop asking questions; you didn't like lying to people. He decided not to push it any further as he's in somebody else's home.
Suddenly a loud static noise erupted in your mind, making you clutch your head in agony. You're usually on painkillers to make it more bearable, but they've probably worn off. You felt two arms wrap around you as Akise said your name worryingly, asking what was wrong. Almost as quickly as it came, the torturous pain was gone.
Something happened that drastically changed the future.
