Chapter 60
Over the next few days, Magellan and Salem stayed there with Daniel taking turns keeping an eye on Ralvania's health. For the first twenty four hours there had been no change. Daniel feared it hadn't worked, however by hour thirty-two her voice started to return. They had visitors left and right, some they had to turn away so she could rest. By the following evening her cough ceased to exist, she was out of her chambers and feeling much better. It was hard to believe that two vampires and a warlock kept her from dying. She didn't know how to repay them. She was glad to be alive. In all of her adventures over the years, she'd never been that close to death before.
She went down the stairs to her office with a bottle of wine. She opened the door to find the three of them in there having coffee.
"Hey you guys," She greeted them.
"Oh good to see you up and moving around again. You scared all of us,:" Salem told her.
"It scared me too. Someone get Amberosia and Sage. I have a bottle of wine from Trinity." She said.
Magellan nodded and went off to get the little hob-goblin and his favorite sorceress. He found them in the kitchen together, and grabbed another bottle of wine and glasses.
Five minutes later the group of them had a celebration in her office. Every one of them deserved a little fun.
"Magellan, I don't know what to do to show my gratitude." Ralvania said.
"I have an idea," He replied.
"What's that?' She asked him.
"I'd like Amberosia to live with me, but she has loyalies to you. I respect that, but would you release her, if she wishes?" He asked.
"Ambrosia come here, please" She said over the rest of them.
She dashed across the room quckly.
"Yes?"
"Do you wish to live with Magellan?" She asked.
"Well um-"
"You aren't my slave-child. Is that what your soul wants?" She asked in a firm tone.
"Yes."
"Stay here a few weeks, so we can get things settled then go on. I'm happy for you.' She told her.
Amberosia set her wine glass down and hugged Ralvania.
"Thank you," She said with happy tears.
"Of course dear. You deserve the life you want." She responded.
