A half hour after Daniel left on his dragon thrill ride, the empress began to feel the dizziness again. It was accompanied by a severe migrane. She walked to the potions cabnet ant found something for the worst possible headache of her lifetime.  Shaking her head slowly, she didn't understand it.  Other than the issue of the hybrid gremlin, she didn't think there had been enough stress to cause such a mind- warp of a headache. Quckly downing the potion, dhe hoped it would help. Twenty minutes later, it had lightened the intensity of the pain, nothing more. 

As the day went on, the dizziness worsened. The headache and light-headed feeling was followed by hot flashes. Several hours later when Daniel returned, she looked thin and pale. She didn't get it. She hadn't been sick in over twenty years. When Daniel found her in the office, he barely recognized her. 

"Empress what's wrong?You don't look yourself." 

"I don't know. I'm not feeling well that's all." She said in a weak voice. 

"Do you need anything?' He asked.

"No, but thank you." 

"Do you think you caught something from the gremlin?" He inquired.

"I hope not," She said to him.

"I hope not either, but you never know." He pointed out.

"How was your flight?" She asked changing the subject.

"It was exciting. We went to Salems then the young dragon crash landed and I healed her." He told her.

"Oh wow, really?" 

"Yes and I really liked caring for her.' He elaborated.

"Did Soranto explain about the dragon's oath?" She asked.

"Yes. It still blows my mind that i have a connection with her." 

"When will she go with you?' 

"We talked about it and she'll visit for a few moons, then move to my castle." He told her.

"That's fabulous news. I know you love dragons." She replied.

"Yes and it would be nice to have another near the castle with me.' He said.

"I think so too." 

"Soranto likes the idea, too. I'm a forty minute flight from the,. I told them come visit us anytime, day or night.' Daniel told her.

"That is wonderful for you," She said and then the light coughing began. Strange she hadn't had a cough since childhood.
