Chapter 4
The dragon's assumption was close, reaching the palace in eight minutes flat. That was lightning speed for a dragon half his age. Kadrid doesn't know what she's talking about, thought the empress as the dragon landed in front of Lily's castle. It looked the same as always, pristine, white with lavender accents. She loved the palace. It had for years been a second home to her. Lily was more like a sister to her tan a god child. The fairy kingdom held so many memories for her, both good and heart wrenchingly painful. Shaking the thoughts away, she knocked on the white door.
Three minutes later the door swung open.
"Empress what a nice surprise, please do come in," Colin greeted her.
"It's good to see you, too." Then she stepped inside of the fairy castle. Walking inside onto the cold well polished marble floor, she noticed the castle hadn't changed much, still a gorgeous magical palace, as always.
"Where's the queen?"
"Follow me, Colin replied, leading her to te back of the castle.
"How are things here?" She asked.
"We're doing well."
The empress nodded, following him until they reached the back door. "She's in the courtyard having coffee. I'll bring another pot. You two ave got me trained by now."
"That's too kind of you."
Four seconds later the queen turned around Her eyes lit up from the shock and excitement of seeing her fairy god-mother, to the point her pink wings began to sparkle. The queen fluttered over and hugged her; as if it had been 13 moon cycles instead of weeks since her last visit.
