The empress sat with the new witch over pixie brew, trying to get to know her a little at a time. Then she thought about it a minute. 

"Where did you say you were from?" 

"I was born in the earth realm, but just came from Galderia." 

"I think I know a few from there."

"Oh, really?" 

"Yes our gargoyle and there was a witch from there," She explained taking a gulp from her own mug. 

"You have a gargoyle?!" 

"Yes he was trying to avoid a witch, Verssa or Valerie; something like that." 

"Veronica?" Trinity said.

"Yes you know of her?" 

"Unfortunately." 

"What did she do to you?" The empress asked with a concerning glance.

"A lot. She's dark, vindictive and mean. She stole my best friend and turned her on me." 

"I'm sorry she caused problems for you. I could tell she wasn't the nicest soul out there," She said in a sympathetic tone. 

"No she isn't. I moved to get away from the situation." 

"I don't blame you," She said leaning forward, looking her in the eyes.

"Thanks," She said, finishing her coffee quickly. "I have to go, my shift starts in about an hour," 

"Oh of course. I may come in one evening," She said to her. 

"I look forward to it." She replied, then headed off to get ready for work.
