Chapter 7

The next morning Ralvania began to put things in order before leaving the castle. This time it wasn't to help anyone else. She arranged a few things to take with her to the Nucandu forest. She had been happy to accept the offer to go have drinks with the warlocks. In her responding letter she'd told them she'd visit but it may take a few days.

A few short months ago she had gone to them for help and they dropped everything, going with her blindly to help defend the fairy kingdom against evil. She felt it was only right to go see them.  Even though it wasn't a trip to help others, the empress still packed her magical bag. Taking a long look around her sanctuary, then she checked her bag to make sure she'd not forgotten anything. She summoned her servants and waited a few minutes.

Both Gina and Amberosia showed u to see what was needed of them. Gina knocked on the door of the library.

"Come in." She told the servants.

"You rang miss?" Amberosia asked.

"Yes, I must leave town for a few days. You two are in charge while i'm gone." She explained to them.

"Yes miss We won't disappoint you. Safe travels." Amberosia replied.

"Good to hear. I have faith in you both."  She told the servants, then dismissed them.

The empress left the library and walked outside to the front of her castle. She let out a loud whistle and waited a few minutes. It had taken Soranto less than ten minutes to get to her.

"Where are we off to this time?" He asked.

"The warlocks." She stated flatly.

"Is anything wrong? Are those guys okay?" The dragon asked, alarmed.

"Everyone's fine. They asked me to come out to the local pub for drinks." The empress explained.

The dragon just shook his head and knelled down signaling for her to climb on up. Once she'd gotten comfortable on his back, he took off soaring into the cloud covered skies. He didn't go top speed. It wasn't an emergency, but he'd kept a decent pace. He knew it was far from home but he liked the warlocks. He didn't usually care for many of the magical humans other than Ralvania but these were good guys.
