The empress grabbed a few materials she'd need. Her magic rocks and crystals then fired up her candles, getting right to work. After about fifteen minutes she looked over at the gargoyle who looked worried. 

"Come here please." She asked Ludwig.

He did as she'd requested, scratching his head for a moment and stood next to her.

"Look inside this circle. Is that her?" 

He slowly peered down to see as a smile spread across his face. He was relieved. 

"Yes that's her. Thank yo so much miss." He told her.

"Good I'm glad I can ease your worries." She answered him, then properly closed the circle, putting the candles out.

"What do I owe you for your service?" Ludwig asked her, half afraid of the answer. 

"I don't charge for it. I ask that if I come to you for a favor someday, yo'll remember I helped you." She replied.

"Are you serious, that's all?" Ludwig asked.

"Yes just return the favor someday." She told him.

"Yes of course. Whatever you need I'd be more than happy to return the favor." He replied and gave her a slight hug.

"Is there anything else I can do for you today?" She asked him.

"No I need to get back to my banishment." He replied and let himself out of the castle and flew off to the east.

The empress shook her head and let out a giggle.Ludwig was an interesting creature to say the least.  She plopped down in her favorite chair, cracked open her spell book and wrote down a few notes on her impression of the gargoyle.
