Chapter 5

Ralvania turned to the sound of someone coming. Sensing anger stewing from the core of the soul; as that someone got closer. Thirty seconds later, she recongized the witch standing in front of her. It was Veronica, the one the gargoyle had asked about.

"Veronica?"

"Do I know you?" She asked, confused.

"No, you don't. I'm Ralvania, this big guy is Soranto."

"I don't care, now why are you on my land?" She spat out

"We're only passing through."

"How did you know my name?"

"A gargoyle asked that I see you are safe."

"Ludwig?" The young witch asked, eyes wide.

"Yes, he had to go back to the other dimension, but said it was worth the risk to make sure you were okay."

"Thank you, I.. miss him."

"We'll be off your land soon."

"I didn't mean to be quite that rude, but there are spies all over around here."

"I understand, really... However we should get moving again, anyway."

"Thank you again," The witch replied before going back the way she came.

"Get on, let's get out of here." Soranto demanded and she obliged.

Twenty seconds later, he bolted into the waiting skies, wanting to get out of Galderia as fast as he could, away from the strange witch as well. He wanted to get back to where they were heading.

"Are you doing ok?" She asked.

"I'm fine."

"We can rest again whenever you need to."

"Yes, mother."

"I'm serious, I don't want you passing out from over doing it."

"I'm okay, really."

After a long pause, she spoke up again.

"Are we getting close?"

"Yes."

She rode onward with the dragon, trying not to nag him too often. He'd gone several hours since the last rest, she worried for him. He'd keep going until his wings gave out, if she didn't make him stop and rest.

"We should land again soon."

"We'll be one town away in twenty minutes."

"Sounds good to me."

"Are you excited to see the warlocks?"

"Yes, I think they would make good allies."

"They seem to be good guys to me." He added.

She hugged him just before they landed in Orwin Valley. She'd never seen it before and the dragon was ready to drop. He curled into a ball and went right to sleep. She of course, went to explore the terrain. Off in the distance a small glitter pond sparkled in the sunlight. As she admired it, the next thing she knew there were footsteps coming closer. She turned around quickly, she wasn't sure who or what they'd find here. Watching and waiting until she saw a short grey creature come into view.

"That's a huge dragon, miss."

"Yes, he's a good friend. I'm Ralvania."

"I'm Sage," Replied the grey and blue eyed hob-goblin.

"Good to meet you, we're only passing through here."

"I live on the other side of the forest, in the swamplands."

"I'm visiting friends near this way."

"Ah, I must be on my way, you have a good day." He said, then headed off.

She nodded bidding him farewell, then sat down with Soranto and waited for him to wake.
