Chapter 33
When the empress climbed down accompanied by the gremlin, nodding and motioning for him to sit down with her.
He nodded back as not to wake the dragon and did as she asked.
"Does this place look familiar to you?" She asked.
"Yes we're getting very close to my home." Vamier told her.
"Oh good I'd like to save as many of your people as I can." She explained to him.
He stared into her eyes for a long moment.
"I know that miss. I can't read souls but I know that you heart is pure." The gremlin told her.
Ralvania blushed. She felt an odd fondness for the gremlin, almost motherly to him over the past few days. She didn't get close to others like this, not in mere days. Perhaps they were kindred spirits of another life time? She thought it over for a few minutes.
"Thank you. Even though it's under harsh circumstances i'm glad we met." The empress told him.
"Me too empress, I'm glad to be almost home but when this is over I'll miss you." Vamier told her.
"I have a feeling I'll miss you as well."
"We're not that far away but I'd rather see the dragon rest." Vamier told her.
"Thank you so much for understanding."
The gremlin nodded ad hugged her for a long moment.
An hour and a half later the dragon rose from his well needed power nap. After a few minutes to adjust his focus he looked at the two of them.
"I'm ready to get going. How much further is it?" The dragon asked.
"In under an hour we'll be in Depheria." The gremlin quickly stated.
Soranto nodded and they climbed up on his back not wasting any time at it. The dragon bolted onward, more than ready to end this little journey. It had only been days but felt like months.
