Chapter 26
Ralvania led the gremlin another twenty miles through the forest until the reached the entrance of Galverton City. It was much lager than several of the other cities she'd seen. The continued on through the unfamiliar place.
There were all kinds of shops, both small and large buildings decorated the streets of Galverton city. Looking around she saw far off in the distance a large silver tower. She noticed a lot of creatures here, not just warlocks witches, but hybrid beings and magical creatures walking through the main part of the large city.
Even the shops were owned and operated by different magical beings. Closing her eyes, concentrating immensley with all of her ability she sensed the vibe of the place. Sensing no imideate threat, she decided to go on and explore this City. The empress could also read the anxious feelings coming from Vamier, but he seemed to be the nervous type.
She scanned through the signs of some of the different shops. One was dwarves shoes, another a large magical supply shop ran by a couple of witches. She kept looking until finally finding a coffee shop.
"I'll wait out here." Vamier told her.
The creature behind the counter appeared to be a gnome troll. She waited in a quickly moving line in the coffee shop. After placing the order, the empress looked around the place. There were several tables and chairs made of oak willow, a nice natural background. Painted vines decorated the beige colored walls.
When the two cups were ready, she thanked the sales clerk and headed out to the gremlin, handing him a cup.
"Oh thank you so much," Vamier responded, accepting the hot liquid.
The empress nodded, taking a slow sip then a few more,it had been just a little too long since her last cup.
"There's an empty table behind you, would yo like to sit with me?" She asked him sweetly.
"Sure miss, that sounds good." he replied, as they took three steps, then sat down.
"How long did you want to explore this place?" He asked, making polite conversation.
"I'm simply killing time, Soranto needs a long rest, even though he would never admit it. The pride of a dragon I suppose." "I really like that dragon." Vamier told her, scratching his head.
"I can tell. He's a great dragon, I love him as an equal." Ralvania told him.
The two sat in silence gulping down the liquid energy until Vamier broke that silence.
"What do you wish to explore after coffee?"
"Another cup." She replied.
The gremlin let out a soft chuckle then sipped his drink along with her. A few minutes later downing the coffee she stood.
:I;m getting another would you care for one?"
"Oh no I think one is enough for me."
"I'll be back in a moment." She told him and walked into the shop, ordering another. Th coffee was amazing. Getting an extra large one, then she headed back to sit with Vamier. The two sat together until she finished the second cup.
"Shall we walk around a little while?" He suggested.
"Sure why not?"
Ralvania and the gremlin toured the main center of the City for the next couple of hours, letting the dragon rest longer than usual. He needed it. Fifteen minutes later Vamier turned to her.
"Can we head back to Soranto yet?"
"That would be fine with me."
The two walked back the way they had arrived. The last thing anyone wanted would be to get lost out here in a strange forest far from home.
