Chapter 19
The empress and the gremlin quickly walked through the strange forest of Tanjent Hills until they had reached Soranto, awake and waiting for them to return. He simply gave them a nod when they reached him.
"Ready to keep going?" He asked his traveling companions.
"Yes." The gremlin answered eager to get moving again.
"Climb up both of you." The dragon instructed.
Swiftly within minutes they were in the air, the sight of Tanjent Hills fading behind them. He flew steadily onward not at a maximum speed; fast enough. Flying as if he were on a mission, he seemed in a daze. He flew over a few small ponds in between miles of forests, mountains and adjacent rock formations as well as caverns scattering the lands.
The further they went the more often Vamier would peer down, watching as they flew past areas that had taken him hours on foot, they passed by in minutes. He was glad that she had a better way to travel. They may get there before too many of his friends and neighbors would possibly die from this dreaded curse.
He hated thinking about it. Flying on top of a huge dragon far in the clouded mist helped to distract him. It brought him a calmed state he'd not felt in a long time. He scooted closer to the empress as they had flown over different lands. The gremlin recognized most of the places but not all of them.
Another couple of hours passed when Vamier leaned down again to see the ground below. There was an oddly shaped castle fortress in the middle of a huge forest. He stared at it for a second.
"Does anyone know what that place is?" Vamier asked.
"The large structure?" Ralvania asked.
"Yes what is it?"
"It's the mundane asylum." She responded.
He lifted one eyebrow and gave her a bewildered look.
"What is it used for?" He questioned.
"A place for non magical people who've gone insane, have no sense of realities any longer." She slowly explained.
"That sounds absolutley horrid to me." He admitted.
"I'm sure that it is." The empress agreed.
