The next morning Chaos woke her early with a pot of coffee, explaining that it would be a long walk in the heat. They would need to go soon.

   The Sun had not risen yet as the two began the journey through the tree-less forest. Leaving before sunrise had gotten them a few miles before the sun began to boil everything like a giant cauldron.

   It boggled her mind why anyone would want to live here. It felt twenty degrees hotter than the underworld. It was ridiculous. She wanted to smack herself for standing in the mud portal for the full 30 seconds. If you do then you end up in realms like this one.

   She had a million questions about this dysfunctional place, but she was more concerned with going home.

   She knew that Sage could handle thingd but she wanted to be back in her office. Not here where it was hot enough to make a person drop dead. If the weather is this dangerous, then she didn't want to meet any of the natives. She had a feeling there was nothing out here anyway.
