He'd gone though a rough patch after losing Zeta. She didn't want to cause him more un-needed pain. 

  She ordered a shot from the waitress and Daniel just looked at her. It was as if he sensed something, a vibe from her.

"Are you going to tell me what's on your mind?' Daniel asked. 

"What do you mean?' She responded.

"You've been silent almost all evening," He pointed out. 

"I hadn't noticed it." 

A moment of long uncomfortable silence lingered in the air. Then he stared at her. "Is this toio weird for you?" 

"Do you want the truth?" She replied.

"Yes, I do." He said to her, taking a gulp from the pint.

"It's not that it's weird. You're an intelligent warlock and a great friend, that I'd never want to lose." She said trying not to hurt hijm.

"It doesn't feel right, does it?" He said.

"Is that how you feel, too?" She said, raising an eyebrow.

"Sort of, I'm unsure about it." He responded.

"You might not be ready after Zeta. Your heart may need more time." She said to him in a soothing tone.

"Maybe. I'm glad we have that in the open, now." He said.

"You're still welcome to visit, I like having you in my life." She told him, taking a swig of the pint.

"I feel the same way." He said to her.
