Chapter 26
By the end of the afternoon, the empress was glad to see that Trinity and Ravenessa had reached common ground. The two had begun to get to know each other a little at a time. Ravenessa was fascinated to meet someone this new to the ways of magick, being trained only two years now. It had lit a spark in the sorceress, having more of an interest in Trinity than her own problems. She thought of helping enhance Trinity's natural abilities of magick.
Trinity seemed to open up more than usual as she became more comefortable with the sorceress. She barely spoke to the warlock in the room; but over time that might change. The empress hoped to help two friends at the same time. Trinity might come out of her shell, and Ravenessa could use a friend. She was relieved that the whole thing didn't backfire on her.
"Has Soranto landed yet?" Ralvania asked.
"I haven't heard him yet, why do you ask?" He replied.
"Only curious." She said.
He nodded, sipping the mug of elven brew.
"You're not ready to leave are you?" Trinity asked her.
"Not just yet."
"Oh good. Thanks for bringing me with you." She said.
"You're welcome. I thought you would like it here." She said, taking a sip of the brew.
Twenty minutes passed when they heard the loud thudding noise of more than one creature landing outside of the castle. They hesitated a moment untiool they heard a knock on the door.
Stergis rose slowly and placed his mug down on the table. "I'll answer it, excuse me." He said to them.
"Are you expecting anyone?" The empress asked the sorceress of the castle.
"No but I'm sure it's nothing major." She said refilling all the mugs back up again.
