Weeks had passed since the meeting with the queen. Things were slowly progressing between the two fairies, it was nice to see. The two were as different as night and day fairies, but they had found common ground. 

     The two began sending messages a few times each week. It may not end in a life long friendship, but Lily didn't act quite so hostile anymore. Slowly something had changed. It brought the empress tremendous relief that things were going so well in her little chunk of the universe. 

          There were always a few critters here and there seeking her help, but no major disasters. She walked through the castle lost in her own thought pattern and made her way to the office. Opening the door she saw the fairy talking to Ludwig, telling him goodbye with a grin. 

"There's my apprentice." The empress greeted her. 

"Hello, empress. There's a fresh pot of pixie brew." She offered. 

The empress nodded, then asked; "Why was the gargoyle here?" 

"He brought a message from Lily," She replied.

"Oh, what did it say?" she asked the excited fairy.

"She's coming over today." She said.

"Oh good. That'll be fun." The empress replied, pouring a cup of brew.
