When the sun had set for nightfall she had been packed up and ready to go. Over-hearing the knock on the huge castle door, an echoing boom, boom as the guest tapped on the door. The sound made her heart beat three times faster than it should. She listened a moment, hearing Sage shuffle his feet to answer the door. Then she could faintly hear him walk their guest to the office where she had been waiting. The hob-goblin nodded and then left as quick as he could.

      She looked at him for a minute, then with a soft smile nodded to him.

"Thanks for helping me with this rescue attempt." She greeted. 

"No problem. I wish only for her safe return, as you do." He replied. 

"When do you want to get moving?" He asked simply. 

"I'm ready if you are." Magellan stated. 

" Lead the way, sir."  She responded.

                    The vampire and sorceress headed out of the castle in a south-west direction, getting the quest under-way.

"How do we get to the dark-realm?" She ask mainly to make conversation, nothing more.

"I'll show you when we get closer. Believe me it's more than a few miles away." Magellan stated. 

"Okay." She replied, walking steadily behind him as she had no idea exactly where they were going or how they would get there. 

             Amberosia just followed behind the vampire tour guide, dodging the occasional low flying bat or owl as they walked deeper and deeper into the forest. It looked completely different during the nocturnal hours. It was just the nocturnal creatures but every sound seemed to spook her, she tried to hide it. 

Ten minutes passed when Magellan spoke up.

"Are you okay, sorceress?" 

"Yes." She said.

"Walk next to me, I won't bite." He stated.

"Promise?" She asked raising an eyebrow. 

"Yes, I promise." He replied.

"Alright." She replied and moved next to him.

"Do I make you nervous dear?" He asked flat out.

"No." she said.

"Then why are your nerves so shot?" 

"What makes you think I'm nervous?" 

"Old vampire, empath." He told her.

"It's the journey. What if I fail the empress?" Amberosia told him what really was on her mind.

"I have accompanied you to make sure you can't fail." 

"You are a kind vampire." She complimented him.

"Tell my only son that one." 

She just gave him a sympathetic look as they walked on through the dark woods.
