Chapter 66
Over the next couple of hours, the empress had subsided her annoyance with the dragon. There may be an explanation. Maybe Soranto didn't know she needed him today? The empress thought, pacing back and forth around the room with her coffee mug in hand. What if something happened to him? She wondered. Steadily sipping down the coffee, reminding herself that he wasn't a six year old dragon anymore.
The empress forced herself to dive into the books, inventory, potions and magic to keep her thoughts occupied. It was strange she thought, no clients yet and it was near mid-day. Not minding it one bit, even part of a day to relax would be great. It will be more so when Amberosia could take the reigns every now and then.
The whole reason for an apprentice was so she could take a vacation. Perhaps in a few moons? Where to go? That was the big question. She could go see pandora or the warlocks or somewhere further away?
Her thoughts were bouncing around like crazy, From Willow to Soranto to everyone in between. She hoped the princess wouldn't be too upset. Lost in her own sparatic mind for the next hour, she poured a cup but the pot sat dead empty. She rang for her servant.
Twenty minutes later she tapped on the door.
"Come in." The empress called out.
Amberosia walked in with a fresh pot for her, stopping at the desk.
"Sorry it took longer than usual, I went to see but the dragon's not returned to us yet." She informed her.
"Thank you, let me know the minute he returns
"Oh of course I will." Amberosia replied, pouring a cup for the empress and setting it in front of her.
"Will there be anything else?"
"Oh no, you may go. thanks." Ralvania answered her.
Amberosia nodded then headed off to get back to her daily routine.
The empress sipped at the hot cup of brew, then let out a long, deep sigh. She was more concerned with her beloved dragon than missing an event. She took a sip of the steaming brew and hoped the dragon would come home soon.
