Only a few minutes had passed when Colin opened the door. 

"Glad you made it, so good to see you again." He greeted her.

"It's good to see you too, but what's going on?" She asked flatly.

"Lily wants to tell you but don't worry it's good news." He reassured her.

"Okay, take me to see your queen." She replied.

"Follow me." He told her, then she followed him down to the dining hall where the Fairy Queen had been waiting. 

            Sitting there with a plate of bread and muffins, Lily looked up.

"Oh good you made it. Here come sit, we've missed you."  She gushed.

"Of course but what was the message about? Are you okay?" The empress asked.

"It's better if I show you." The queen replied.

"What do you mean?" The empress asked confused.

          The Fairy Queen slowly rose from the chair, arching her back to show off her extreamely swollen belly.

"No way!" The empress shrieked.

"Yes I'm pregnant, we're going to have a wee fairy." She told her with delight.

"Half-fairy dear." Colin told her.

"Wait Colin you're a wolf, right?" 

"Not exactly, I'm a shape-shifter wolf." He explained.

"So you're going to have a shape-shifter fairy?" She asked.

"We don't really know, could be fairy or shapeshifter or a combination of the two." Colin told her.

"When will the little one arrive?" Ralvania asked.

"Two more moon cycles, we think." Lily replied.

"Congratulations to you both." The empress replied as Colin went to get coffee.

"Thank you, I can't wait to see her.." Lily replied.

"It's for sure a girl?" She asked, Lily nodded.

"I can't wait to meet her either." Ralvania admitted as Colin returned. He served the women first then himself. 

"I just wish mother were still here." Lily sniffled.

"Oh I know you do. Look for her in the baby, when life takes away, it also gives." 

Lily nodded, "Yes I'm sure you're right." 

"Let's just have a nice visit. Make sure you send word. I was here when you were born." The empress told her.
