Chapter 44
Standing there for just a moment, then she knocked and simply waited. Two minutes had passed when Colin opened the door.
"Do come in! Glad you could make it." He greeted her.
"Me too. Are there a lot of guests that have arrived?" She asked, curious.
"No you're the first one here. Come enjoy it before this place gets over-run." He joked.
She followed him into the castle, through the corridor to one of the sitting rooms. Before Lily had turned to see who was here, Willow fought and squirmed her way out of her mother's arms.
Once freed, she fluttered her wings, gliding over to see her.
"Aunt Vania! Aunt Vania!" The little fairy shrieked with delight.
"There's our princess." She greeted her.
Willow hugged her great god-mother tightly.
"I missed you, too." She told the now toddler changling.
"Ralvania it's so great to see you, again." Lily greeted her.
"Glad I made it here." She replied.
"Colin, dear will you bring the coffee?" She asked batting her eye-lashes at her mate.
"Yes, dear." He replied immitating the voice and movements of a zombie-slave.
She and Willow cackled with laughter as he turned and went to full-fill her request.
"How are things here?"
"Oh not too bad, Willow keeps me busier than the resty of the entire known kingdom, but I'm fine."
"Do you need me to come by more often?" Ralvania offered.
"No, I think I need to deal with it on my own." She replied in a soft tone.
"I understand. If you get over-whelmed, the offer still stands." The empress told her. Lily hugged her god mother for a brief thirty seconds.
The empress watched as Willow would flutter around the room, hop up and twirl with an innocent happiness only a child could possess. It was the most adorable thing she'd seen in months.
