The dragon landed mere inches from the front of the castle. Slowly the empress climbed down and thanked him.

"Uh-huh." he snarled.

Turning away from him and walking to the front door she knocked lightly. After waiting about five minutes, knocked again with more force. 

"Hold on!" She heard Lily yell from inside the castle walls. Thirty seconds later the door flung open. 

"Thank goddess, get your ass in here!" Lily ordered.

Poor thing, eyes were bloodshot, it looked like she'd not slept in a fortnight. The look on her usually happy face was pure fear. 

"What's the matter?"  

"Come in, I need your help." Lily spoke with desperation in her quivering voice.

Stepping into the grand corridor, letting Lily lead her to the dining room. She saw willow in a home made wooden playpen. 

"How old is she now?" 

"Nine months, last week." Lily answered. 

"She's just too adorable. " She commented. Then looked directly at the queen.

"So what's wrong?" 

"You won't believe it." Lily answered dryly.

"Try me, are you getting overwhelmed with the little one?"  She asked as one of the dwarf servants brought in a tray of coffee and quickly left. 

The empress poured a cup for each of them, setting a cup on the table in front of the queen. 

"Okay but it's a little out there." She warned.

"Willow honey, show her how you get out of there." Lily instructed her daughter.

The infant giggled, then stood up. Jumping up and flapping her wings the half-fairy flew just high enough to escape the playpen. 

The empress just stared with a look of shock but said nothing.

"You do see this right?" Lily asked frantic.

"Uh-huh. I see it." The empress replied taking a sip.

"Faries don't fly until they're almost into thier teens, not as a baby!" Lily snapped, tears filling in her eyes.

"She's half fairy." 

"So?" Lily asked confused.

"Maybe a combo-nation of the two kinds of magic caused it."  Ralvania suggested, downing more coffee.

"Do something for me?" Lily begged her.

"Sure, what?" 

"Use your powers to tell me what I'm dealing with?" 

"What you think she's evil?" Ralvania told her in a joking manner.

"No I just want to know what you see."  Lily pleaded.

"Okay." 

Lily scooped up her little one and handed her over. Ralvania held onto Willow for a good twenty minutes before handing her back.

"What did you see?" 

"I saw nothing horrible, relax." Ralvania began. 

"I saw a vision of her around six years old, shapeshifting." 

"What?" Lily replied.

"She has a lot of fairy magic but a lot of shifter magic too." She explained.

"How will i do this?" Lily sobbed.

"It will be okay." 

"How do you know?" Lily responded taking a sip.

"I just do. Has she done anything else?" 

"Yes." Lily told her then walked across the room to grab a yellow carnation in a vase. She brought it with and sat down.

"Show her honey." She told the infant.

The baby fairy stared at it for a few minutes as the color went from yellow to  orange to dark red.
