Chapter 121

A fortnight had passes since Amberosia had suggested that she get out of the castle. Sitting behind the desk in her sanctuary, taking a gulp of the pixie brew. The truth of the matter, she didn't want to go anywhere, ever. The experienced in the underworld had changed her. Still not feeling like herself, but it had been more than a few months ago.

Another plentiful sip, then setting the cup down, she shook her head. Thinking a moment, there hadn't been any action lately anyway. Since Magellan had ordered Allwyn to get the dark creatures out of the forest, there was a drop in the flow of clients at the door. Ralvania didn't mind it, knowing the quiet and slow days didn't last long.

Her last big adventure was being rescued from the dark realms. Not being needed, was that the problem? She thought a moment, then poured another cup of the brew. Grabbing her spel-book and placing it on the desk. Get back to your day to day life, she told herself. Maybe it would help.

Flipping through her book of magic, stumbling on an old meditation- to contact a spirit guide. Going over it a few times before she began, thinking it may help.  Closing her eyes and soon falling into a deep meditative state, she sat down in the forest and waited for the elderly dwarf to join her.

Within a few minutes he appeared, sitting next to her. He greeted her with a slow nod.

"Thank you Syre." She said.

"Yes, what is it?" Syre the dwarf asked her.

"I feel lost, not myself." She said.

He leaned in close to her eyes. Glaring at her intently, then spoke.

"Stay on your path...Don't give up." He paused only a mere 4 seconds, then added; "If you do give up, the darkness wins....and the light dies." He told her and vanished.

As there was a knock on the door, she quickly came out of the meditative trance. Rolling her eyes, the empress waited a moment before answering it.
