Chapter 42
Once they had landed again, the empress ran straight to Pandora and the warlock-vampire.
"I had a vision." She told them wide-eyed.
"What kind of vision?" Salem asked, Pandora stood beside him.
"It was a vision of your father. He was okay, in a cave with the other vampire." She informed him.
After a long dreadful pause, he looked at her then spoke again.
"Did it look like they were still in the underworld?" He asked, a glimmer of hope in his eye.
"Yes, I think so. I was just glad they hadn't been discovered or captured by demons." She told him.
"Thank you, I'm more than relieved that he is unharmed." Salem told her.
"Where are we?" She politely inquired.
Looking around, it appeared to be the most average looking forest. Plain, boring almost dreary looking plants and trees. Every twig, rock and small hill looked too ordinary to her. It was just weird to her, but it was a different place. it didn't always mean better than home.
"We are about a fifteen mile hike from the portal." Salem told her.
"Oh good." She replied.
"Relax, it's almost over." He soothed, sensing the hesitation coming from her.
"Hey!"
"Can we get moving?" Soranto yelled, a few feet ahead of them.
Salem nodded and Pandora waved a yes signal to him, then the group of them started walking on.
